GEORGE GROVES is set to announce tomorrow that he has left Frank Warren for rival promoter Eddie Hearn – and will now fight next at Wembley Arena on Saturday.
The unbeaten super-middleweight, 24, has had his last three bouts with Warren since his points win over British rival James DeGale in 2011.
He was due to meet Mouhamed Ali Ndiaye for the European title on Warren’s show at Wembley Arena on March 16 but is now poised to switch to Hearn and will be in action next weekend in a non-title bout.

Ouch, Warren has lost Brook, Bellew and Groves to Hearn and DeGale to Hennessey. How is BoxNation going to appeal to British fight fans when his two world champs are fighting on same night. I plan on cancelling my subscription straight after that fight because there is no chance either will fight until end of May/start of June. Who else is in his camp who will have a high profile fight? I dont see any promising prospect either... Groves will fight Abraham/Stieglitz winner, Bellew has the Chilemba fight and if he wins that, faces WBC champ and Brook has Alexander. By the end of Autumn, Hearn could have 4 world champs in Brook, Bellew, Groves and Froch and thats not talking about what Barker is doing.
Fact is Hearn is mates with his stable and they have trust in him, Ive heard Warren takes a large slice of his fighters pie and when they try and complain, he takes em to court. Actions dont lie, British fighters wants to be in Hearns stable atm.
Surely you are joking about cancelling Boxnation just because Groves has gone. What about the world championship fights you'll never see only on Youtube????????
For a tenner its worth keeping just for them
looool he WAS a lightweight and not a cherry picking scrub like some welterweights I can think of. Hatton's record as a lightweight was legit, he just had 5-10 bum fights too many in the middle of his career which I agree is what Warren usually does with his better fighters.
Ricky Hatton has never fought at Lightweight.
Oh and he is officially off the card, incase anyone might think its just rumour

Such brilliant news, especially for those who have Froch vs Kessler tickets.
I'm a big Groves fan and with him being promoted by Warren was scared to see Warren do to him what he did to Calzaghe and Hatton.
Well chuffed with this.

He made the move just in time, it's a pity Warren could work his WBU magic for Groves like he did for Ricky Hatton when he was defending that belt against bums and lightweights.

I absolutely love Groves and this move is fantastic for him. I must admit I had him a round down against DeGale, but now he'd absolutely smash DeGale to pieces. He's kept learning whereas DeG has plateaued.
