This is a thread to respect the warriors who get caught with ridiculous shots and somehow beat the count and carry on fighting. Note: They dont have to win, they can even be stopped straight after, just need to beat that 10 count...
Ill start with a modern classic to get the ball rolling:
from 0.50seconds on the fighting heart of Fernando Montiel
How about AJ taking a full blooded right hand from one of the biggest punchers in history last night, looking completely ****ed but still coming back to win.
Well deserving of a place in this thread.

I thought when he got up the fight going to be waved off a few moments later.
AJ didn't need to go down, he just wanted to show his Louboutin's off.
Jokes aside, I thought it was over when WK landed that... Absolute monster of a shot.
The only thing that saved AJ apart from his conditioning was the fact he appeared to brace himself. If you look closely, it looks like he see's it coming and somehow manages to roll with it but maybe I'm wrong...

Agreed. I thought Joshua was done.
Holmes had phenomenal recuperative powers. The Shavers KD was ridiculous. This one, against Snipes, was nearly as bad (3:00):
Holmes was literally more dangerous when you hurt him. Pretty amazing.

The sound that right hand made when it landed was like a shotgun. I thought that was it for AJ, but he somehow got up. Massive respect for the guy. I'd still like to see a rematch though.

Kahn may not be known for body punching but that is 2 perfectly thrown body shots, perfectly timed, and perfectly placed.

It's rare to see a fighter immediatey drop to the canvas the way Maidana did from those body shots, and get up.
The only time I was ever down was a body shot, I couldn't move afterwards.
Not normal to see a boxer rolling around in pain the way Maidana was, and still get to his feet.
nah.
it's very rare to get knocked out with a bodyshot in 2 rounds.
usually the midsection is softened up through accumulative damage.
Khan doesn't have any body punch KO's. his punches are quick but not heavy. also the KD came early without any accumulative damage.
Gassiev is a much heavier body puncher.

Good shout tbf. Not only the shot that dropped him but there were 2/3 brutal lefts to the body before that.
Lebedev is one tough bastard
There was a fight years ago I always think of, it was Tim Austin vs Sergio Aguila and Austin was one of my favourites at the time but he got dropped terrible in one of the rounds and got up to stop Aguila late in the fight.
I remember watching this live and was very surprised he got up and made it out of the round.
Great find.
I'll never understand how Maidana got up from the 2 body shots by Kahn. Those were perfectly placed, perfectly timed, and both landed really hard, the way maindana went down usually means it's over.
I've never seen anyone else get up from body shots like that.

Gatti v Ward.
Ward was a far superior body puncher too and a more natural 140 pounder.
2 that always stuck out to me are morrison vs ruddock and tyson vs ribalta.
Morrison turned ruddock's head around with a left hook and the camera panned away for a few seconds while morrison went a neutral corner...and when it went back ruddock was already up.
Tyson nearly tore ribalta's head off with a right uppercut and ribalta just looked at him like he was mad and got right back up.

Finding any way to take a negative and spin it to a positive for my boy Julian Williams. He may not have won the title Saturday night, but he's earned a place among the warriors of this thread.
Just a peach of an uppercut. Looked to the world like it was the KO punch. Amazing heart and determination to get up, though he was never going to have the legs to survive.

The way he fell definitely looked like he shouldn't have gotten up.
