that was the end, watch the first round.
I have many times. You're talking about the round where Holm landed other classic boxing techniques like elbows, kicks, knees and a body lock takedown. If you want to hold on to the argument that she's fundementally a boxer it could also be said it didn't work for her vs Nunes.
This guy got dropped 4 times by a guy with a beer belly and man boobs and you have the nerve to act like it was some power move?? The guy he lost to looks like a guy who drives forklift and drinks with on your weekends..There was nothing great about that at all..All ya'll are doing is making threads trying to act like this some how makes Wilder look bad..NO IT MAKES JOSHUA LOOK BAD FOR GETTING DROPPED 4 TIMES TO A FAT ASS KOOL-AID MAN LOOKING MOFO
Bring back Tony Galento, he'd probably even fair better than Ruiz. :boxing:
He is a bit of a slapper.
He might not be the heaviest hitter but his technique is certainly not "slappy". Also seems that as he's become more comfortable in the pros he's sitting down on his punches more and more.
Loma, GGG, spence, crawford, bivol, beterbiev, prograis, berchelt, gassiev, usyk, jacobs, josh taylor, and the future of yeleussinov out of the current active crop. I generally like good boxers with an active work rate who can hit, I also tend to like fighters more who carry themselves with respect.

I'm not for Clenelo but this is too much lol
He's either a cheat or a massive idiot. People saying it's unrealistic for him to source his meat from reputable places even with his considerable resources and the potential consequences he could face? You can be damn sure that if that much mexican meat had the possibility of giving him something like malaria or salmonella instead he'd have absolutely no problem making sure the meat he ate was quality.
Plus, according to Sanchez a bunch of his handlers are involved in the meat business. You'd think they knew who had reputable farms.
"Canelo's handlers have*family members who*own butcher shops, Canelo's co-trainer Chepo Reynoso is a former butcher, and the issue of contaminated meat is a well documented problem in the country of Mexico."
If you watch the 2nd round, you can see him start to get very tentative throwing the left to the body, and then he stopped throwing it all together.
Its very very common for fighters to injure their hand going to the body if you catch the tip of an elbow.
Not saying he hurt it enough to warrant quitting, or that it had any meaningful impact on the fight, because it didn't. Loma was going to win that fight no matter what Rigo showed up. But it wouldn't be surprising if he did hurt it.
You need to watch the fight again, he still throws the left with bad intentions all the way until he throws the towel with even worse intentions. He never stopped throwing the left, Loma just made it pointless to try.
This is kind of like a gatti vs ward fight in mma. People just know it's going to be good. They didn't have the greatest win/loss ratios but they came to fight.
I admit I 100% thought he was talking out of his @ss. If he makes it to the first bell he won't make it to the last one. Props to him for this, it's a ballsy fight.

I'll wait for Southpawology to answer my question. You're not approaching the subject from the same angle he is. THAT is what I'm looking for an answer of. Obviously there can be problems with this in the sport, but Southpawology's angle is different than that point.
Fair enough, I was answering it based on how you wrote it, and sjw's are destroying many, many things.
Explain how they're ruining anything, let along everything.
Here's a pic taken from a thread in the lounge. This type of stuff is obviously out of control, and is ruining fair play in womens sport.

If Floyd, Wilder, or someone that people cared about said this there would be outrage. But, people just don't care about Davis.
Good video. Fight all the comers now!
Well, one guy does.
Imagine if all those soccer players were boxing. America wouldn't even be represented in the divisions below HW.
Yeah, because soccer players are known for their ability to take a good hit and fight through it :boxing:
I can't pick out a specific fight, I just know I've loved boxing as long as I can remember. Grew up idolizing rjj, holyfield, tyson and as the internet came around seeing old fighters like robinson, dempsey, louis, hagler, duran etc. Something about it hooked me right from the beginning.
are Basketball players? Soccer players are trained to dive and pretend to be hurt, to gain an advantage. Nothing to do with toughness.
Americans like to use the excuse that their athletes are in other sports. Well so are every other countries who have more popular sports.
I'm just busting your chops a bit, there are a few players I've wondered about. A guy like vinnie jones, if all his efforts went to the ring instead. Or Zlatan ibrahimovic, he seems pretty rangy and intense. I have very little soccer knowledge, I'm sure there's better examples. Like you said, every sport would take away from boxing and vice versa.
It's been said the worlds greatest violinist has never picked up a violin, or the greatest marathon runner is sitting on his couch. We'll never know what some people could have achieved because they never gave it a shot. But like the op also pointed out, when you see a freak athlete it makes you wonder.
Horn beat a faded but still tough Pac. Linares is a good win for Loma..but who has Linares beaten?
Is this your roundabout way of saying Horn is better than Linares?
