Body shot stoppage with 1 punch in his first fight. 1 punch ko cold over rocky martinez who's never been knocked out cold before moving up a weight class. LMAO. Walters said he was hurt from those punches as well. All his opponents are quitting mid rds due to fear of getting koed because they know the next punch in the next rd will have them out cold similar to rocky martinez. They're not seeing the punches coming and stop before it's too late. 72 percent ko ratio over top opposition. Would you rather quit and make an excuse or be out cold. It's the punch you don't see that has you out.
Lomachenko does a lot of arm punching. Arm punching has it's obvious disadvantages and advantages, but Lomachenko is a master boxer who knows what he's doing, and uses it quite well.
Lomo definitely has knock out power but his success comes from his superior boxing skill and control of his opponents. I personally think he is unbeatable in his division. Sometimes a sport produces someone that is leagues above the others and Lomo is a perfect example.
No point arguing with that lot, may aswell just go along with it that lomachenko is a featherfisted, stiff, flat footed plodder who fights bums and Is swerving Easter cause He 'don't want that work'
Holy strawman. no one has said that!
but if you guys wanna believe that lomo is some concussive ko puncher then you are entitled to that
He might not be the heaviest hitter but his technique is certainly not "slappy". Also seems that as he's become more comfortable in the pros he's sitting down on his punches more and more.
This.
He's definitely been putting more on his shots since his first 5-6 fights.
Loma doesn't have transcendent, generational power (obviously), but he has enough of it, combined with his ridiculous skill, that he does real damage
That should be pretty apparent to anybody who actually knows even half of what they're seeing
Yes he does hit hard in addition to being a lightning fast skillful boxer. If he didn't hit hard his opponents wouldn't get knocked out or quit so often.
He is a bit of a slapper.

Loma was a grown ass man and like 25 or 26 years old  but he was young doe . Salido is the GOAT .
It wasn't even the weight(maybe a little) or that he was 25. IMO it was because it was his 2nd pro fight and first 12 round fight Salido didn't even land on him except low blows and body shots. Loma was hitting him but with salidos constant pressure Loma preserved his energy and Salido won simply because Loma didn't do anything. Same with the Russell fight after beating the sh*t outta him he moved a little to save his energy now he goes for the kill pressures like crazy hes use to the 12 rounds.
He surely showed Salido that power...
To be fair Loma it was only his 2nd pro fight. Everyone knows he needs more time for his body to grow and develop power.
Besides SALIDOE IS AN ATG and future HOF in his PRIME.
I like to think of Lom as a combination of a hornets nest and a Cobra. An opponent may not feel a single punch as being huge for a given period of time, but they feel like they are being stung from all angles and it becomes hopeless for them, and then in those situations, Lom can continue that way or if he decides to put some weight behind some single punches, the opponent feel like they are being struck by a Cobra. When he decides to put everything into a punch, the opponent is going to get staggered or dropped.
He is not the biggest puncher out there but definitely above average.
Most 1 punch ko always happen after many other shots landing in previous rds. It's still a 1 punch ko. One dosen't need to not land a single shot in any other rd to qualify for a 1 punch ko. rd He koed him with the right hook. The uppercut was a probe set up punch which grazed and the right hook was ko punch. Watch the fight again. It's a 1 punch ko.
Can't argue other than what I said. I think we are differing only on what constitutes a "1 punch KO".
Rahman's KO of Lewis, to me, was a one punch KO. Lewis was cruising, nothing wrong with him and then BANG.

He did actually. Salido could not have lasted a 15 round fight. The ship Salido was damaged and taking on water when it made port after 12.
Maybe he does or maybe he doesn't but likely we'll never know as he never swings for the fences. Martinez was in no way a one punch KO. Rocky got hit with 2 punches and this after being hit with 30-40 very painful punches over 4 rounds plus. Hit Martinez with that last left hand first punch of the first round he might not even go down he certainly gets up. It's a process.

A lot of eastern European boxers don't load up on their shots and are more systematic when it comes to ending fights. He hits hard when he feels the need too and if it's necessary
See it all the time, people saying "pitty pat punches". I wonder sometimes if they actually know what theyre watching.
It is funny with him. He seems to hold back on power so he does not sacrifice accuracy or something else. When he does sit down on his punches, you can see opponents react to it. He seemed hell bent on stopping Rocky with power shots. He was sitting down on straight lefts until that right hook came.
I think he does have decent power, but holds it back for one reason or another. Like I said accuracy or maybe brittle hands? Maybe he does not want to sacrifice defense by planting his feet? who knows.
