if spence is even half of what he was, he will have no problem with tszyu, tszyu shouldnt have gambled on a washed out spence, because he doesnt know what spence will show up if it is a game spence who was better than fundora and bakhram in his prime, then tszyu is a goner. spence chews up fighters who have little to no head movement,
word on the street is visoli did get the better of him in sparring, that doesn't mean jack though. I back curmel anyday over him, visoli struggled with some unknown stiff in his last fight. sparring isn't fighting and curmels punches will hurt a lot more without the head guard and intention to knock him out
If you consider the comp in different era's, the only way to say any fighter over the last decade or so is an ATG is via eye test. Floyd and Pac both obviously are there based on what they did in their early careers.
Apart from them, for me at least, Bud is the one guy who I believe could have fought in any era and beat the best of that era. And that is purely eye test and I said it before he even beat Spence. He has intangibles that 99% of fighters don't have.
Usyk is a very good fighter but not an ATG IMO. Fury was past his best and AJ is a good puncher, not a great boxer.
inoue could have competed and beat the best in any era as well, he is the best fighter to ever come out of japan.
Thurman is going to take fundoras head off- i assume fundora will beat tf out of thurman for the first 2-3 rounds before thurman starts swinging like tiger woods and will eventually catch fundora with one of his brutal hooks
Golovkin ducked Ward. It’s clear from what SOG says in the video.
how do you duck someone who is not even in your weight class....ggg was at 160 90% of his career and only moved to 168 in the twilight years for like 2 fights.
well nasukawa is not a top japanese fighter so maybe this is why hes fighting him? nasukawa is the small japanese boy floyd fought and laughed at. so funny he fought a 118 pound fighter who had 0 pro fights at the time.
nasukawa is also arguably the greatest kickboxer of all time and the most celebrated fighter in japanese history across all sports (which is why floyd decided to fight him). his last kickboxing fight did 500,000 ppv buys along side the 56,000 in attendance which is unheard of in japan
not defending davis, but not really "chilling" is it? all he did was grab her neck lol pretty tame compared to what monzon and valero allegedly did, also remember kovalev breaking a womans nose a few years ago lol
looked more calculated but still no head movement, and fought a guy who clearly wasnt throwing punches and was there for the cheque. this is the problem with tszyu's development, he will go from fighting a unproven or washed fighter with no power, learn nothing and then fight the divisions top and get a beating. imo he needs to fight another 2 guys, both should be dangerous for him to learn anything.
inoue will still have enough in him to beat nakatani, shouldn't take any unecessary risk, employ his same game plan against murojdan and he will outbox him handily, if nakatani decides to get brave then inoue should be able to take him out
May God bless your soul Vanes, one of boxings quiet men, known but not a guy who liked the spotlight or was trying to grab headlines. quiet and humble all the way till his death.
matias looked unusually vunerable in that fight, i think it was the last round where puello landed a clean left and it buckled his legs. i truly don't believe that this guy is on steroids, where was his stamina and workrate in the paro fight? his stamina wasn't too good in the puello fight either- people here are too quick to judge and then they put fighters like tyson who was on drugs and did all sort of sht when he was fighting, on a pedestal.
tim needs to do a donaire, when donaire got stopped by walters, he built his confidence fighting 2 top 100 ranked fighters than a contender.... then he went on a legendary tear in his twilight years. except tim should have done that after the murta fight, i fear its too late for him now, i think he should get active and fight a few guys and experiment with his style and practice moving his head more.
my name is jake paul and welcome to Jack @ss.
on a serious note, is paul really the first name on the poster? i thought AJ was more than big enough to be A-side....has more money than paul, was a legit hw champion and is extremely popular in terms of revenue, as the most recognisable name in the HW division in the past decade.....yet hes the B side.
my prediction is AJ will land the first right hand and paul will do the chicken dance, he will let him survive for a few more mins before landing another right hand which will knock out paul clean, then he does a doo doo in his shorts in the middle of the ring while unconsicious.
i would say that is heavy handedness, fighters who i have seen being called explosive punchers ( in recent memories) like wilder, davis, inoue, obviously load up that explosive punch to give you a 1 shot ko. look at matias, he doesnt knock you out with 1 single punch but every punch hurts and most of his opponents end up quitting
Hes a big long guy for his weight division i think from what I've heard
Wlad made a whole career of leaning back with minimal head movement due to his range awareness and if theres one thing Alex has perfect its range awareness
he was initially a champ at 185lbs at ufc where he was initially a champion but was clearly dehydrated then now is champ at 205lbs, don't think he would be a big heavyweight, not in mma terms and certainly not at boxing, probably walks 220lbs max
that was bad for wanderlei, he is like 50 and has already been knocked out a couple of times when he was younger,i remember reading that his brain tests from the ufc or something had signs of cte a few years back. he is definitely brain dead
considering eddie hall cant keep his hands above his chest for more than 7 seconds at a time, i would say canelo would knock him out cold, i dont doubt bivol would flatline him either but i think canelos would be more destructive
boots will retire undefeated, he is too good, trust me.
no one wants to fight him, his style is the hardest style to imitate in sparring, to figure out because he is an excellent adjuster.,
stanonis is no punk , neither is lipinets despite him being smaller and boots made them look like men fighting children, his fight against roiman was hard to watch, he beat the toughness out of roiman, to the point he quit in 3 rounds in his next fight against an unknown, roiman went from beating rashidi ellis to quitting against an unknown after fighting ennis
because they have access to better technology, nutrition etc, they can craft the perfect diet, the perfect training regime for a fighter, they can measure and use statistics to see if a fighter is improving or slowing down in training etc- one thing that they don't have is the heart and determination of an old fighter, which they can never have unless they have gone through some insane upbringing or background, which is why old school fighters will always be better
guys, lets get back to reality here. kov was a solid light heavyweight with crushing power but also a very underrated boxer, he outboxed ward in that first fight and was schooling canelo before the stoppage, is crawford a better pure boxer than ward, perhaps, but slightly. add that to the fact kovalev is a light heavy and was knocking out guys his size with a jab, i think crawford has less than a 30% chance
