Is Boots to Crawford what Broner was to Mayweather?

Those were good fighters for sure (Maidana and Porter) but I will say at the time Madiana wasn't seen as much of a risk to them, he was a heavy favourite (I won a fortune) bu the perception was it was an easy win vs a favourable style and big name and it totally backfired. Even Porter he was a big favourite to beat. Yeah Maidana improved a lot under Garcia, got him using his jab and setting his shots up rather than just walking in. I still didn’t expect him to take that fight though. I was expecting a past prime guy with name value like Mosley or Judah. Especially after how bad Broner looked at 147. He actually won me over after De Marco, I was starting to think he might actually be an elite fighter but the Paulie fight really exposed him.

boots will retire undefeated, he is too good, trust me. no one wants to fight him, his style is the hardest style to imitate in sparring, to figure out because he is an excellent adjuster., stanonis is no punk , neither is lipinets despite him being smaller and boots made them look like men fighting children, his fight against roiman was hard to watch, he beat the toughness out of roiman, to the point he quit in 3 rounds in his next fight against an unknown, roiman went from beating rashidi ellis to quitting against an unknown after fighting ennis Lipinets was three years past his loss to Mikey Garcia at 140 and was coming off a draw against Custio Clayton when Ennis beat him. He has since lost twice more to unranked opposition.

Broner’s only good world title win was De Marco, the guy he fought at 130 was some Argentinian journeyman. 140 he was a gifted vacant title shot vs Allakhverdiev and then I suppose Paulie was a decent win but he was clearly the weakest champion at 147. I give him full credit for fighting Maidana and Porter though, definitely could have found easier options. He still had A-side sway back then. No, not even an apt comparison. Broner was like Floyd's little brother, who had some talent, but was undisciplined. He was also too short to fight above 140. Boots is physically already more talented than Crawford. He's bigger & faster.
