90% of people on this board only started watching boxing last couple years, they have zero knowledge
This is what I'm beginning to realise by some of the absolutely absurd comments I've read on here by so called boxing fans.
Mike Tyson was over rated, he never beat 1 truly world class fighter or have a career defining fight and has no real legacy, except knocking over average heavyweights.
He carried the whole heavyweight scene at a time when it was regarded as the worst ever heavyweight era, he was young and exciting but had no genuine world class fighters to oppose him, so unfortunately we will never know how good he truly was because he only knocked out lesser class heavyweights.
He never had a career defining fight, he was small and was never comfortable against long range box punchers as proved by his fights with Tucker, Smith and most notably Douglas.
Unfortunately people make so many excuses for his failure against the true world class fighters he faced, he has been blown up into mythical status for knocking out average heavyweights.
For me his best win was against Ruddock and look what Lewis did to him.
You when someone knows **** all about boxing, it's when they say Mike Tyson is the greatest fighter ever or the greatest heavyweight of all time lol.
Wilder beaten like a dog when fighting Fury as a defending WBC champion
Ruiz doing nothing in a rematch, losing 12 -0 in rounds to Joshua, as a defending champion.
Kownacki , "top PBC prospect" stopped in 4th round by Helenius.
Ortiz, Sanchez, Zhang, Hrgovic fighting bums in fights nobody cares about.
Usyk - Chisora is actually the best hw fight we have seen recently.
Sorry, but this era is pretty bad. I mean, it has a potential. But contenders and fringe contenders must start fighting each other.
No **** Sherlock, this era is probably worse than when Mike Tyson went on to clean up the division, back then we all said that was the worst ever era for heavyweights, but this crop surpasses it easily for mediocrity.
Big Baby Miller
the big 3 are kind of lucky that he got caught with roids, he would of beat Fury
How the **** would you know?
You have never seen him fight drug free, the **** took every ped he could, got away with it for ****ing ages, so all of his wins and performances are ped enhanced if you dont think that makes a massive difference to his capabilities your a ****ing idiot.
What stupid statement.
Eubank was better technically than Benn, but as stated above his defeat of Barkley and winning one of the greatest fights I've ever witnessed, when he woke up from being unconscious on the bottom rope, to come back and stop McCellend puts him above Eubank.
For me, Lennox Lewis & then Duke Mckenzie, British, European and multiple weight world champion, extremely technical fighter and one of our best boxers that I watched during the late 80s and early 90s
Like most on here I've watched the fight multiple times and always tried to be open minded every time, but I've never given Hagler the win.
Leonard just out boxed him, punches have to be solid enough to score not to rock an opponent every time they land a shot.
Poor Oscar has a massive void in his life that being a promoter cannot fill, just like Floyd.
An exhibition would be ok but to even think he could mix it at world level is a pipe dream.
Good to see him looking so fit and healthy at 48, the thing about training at that age is you think your working as hard as you did when you were young but the realisation is it's just harder because you are older.
I'm in my 50s I talk from experience.
Nothing wrong with exhibition matches, seeing old champions have a move around, it's been part of boxing going back to John L Sullivan.
As long as people don't expect anything other than watching two old icons having a spar it's all good.
PPV, turn it in, what a con, hardly a must see fight, Chizora 5yrs past his prime and Parker who must be the most boring heavyweight around, his fights are dreadful because he is too lazy to work and has no spite deep down.
I'll watch it on you tube 24hrs later.
Marshall is long and rangey but she hasn't fought anyone, the last time I saw her fight, in that bout held in Eddie Hearns garden, her opponent didnt look like she even knew the basic fundamentals of boxing, it was a total mismatch and embarrassing to watch.
Women boxing has zero depth but at least Shields has proved herself at different weights, moves very well and puts together her punches like a male fighter.
Shields wins this.
Very good fight, Taylor was never in trouble during those early rounds and from that 2nd knock down was in complete control, took his foot off the gas in the last couple allowing it to be closer than it should of been.
Taylor proved his quality tonight.
Beautiful boxing by Nakatani wanna see him against top opposition
The fella he was fighting had no movement at all, just stood in front of him, Sunny Edwards would school him.
Of course Joshua feels confident, he he's fighting an old man, who's best win was a split decision win against Derek Chisora 4 yes ago and who got knocked by klitchko 5yrs ago, he has no real power at the top level and as much as hearn and sky try to build it up as a tough fight, it's easy nights work for Joshua.
It's not like Pulev has fast hands and can bang or has fantastic boxing ability.
More proof that outside the top 3 or 4 heavyweights the rest are crap.
Lopez needs to forget about Taylor, Taylor is too big and too intelligent for him.
Plus I think Taylor will want to defend his titles once against Catterall in Scotland, in front of his home fans and then move up a weight, he wants to test himself against the very best and that will be against Crawford.
Lopez vs Haney is a great fight, lets see who is the best lightweight.
Joshua and his promoter need to stop talking about money and popularity, they have made a habit of this throughout his career, boxing is not about who is the most popular or has the most money, its about proving you are the best, something Fury has succeeded in so far and Joshua hasn't despite all his money & popularity hasnt.
Watching them both come through the ranks to the top, fury has only really cared about being the best and Joshua needs to take more notice of that than talking about who sells out the biggest arenas.
Seriously what true boxing fan gives a toss about how much money you have or if you sell out big arenas or not.
He is very good at hype, he uses social media brilliantly and was the first promoter to do so, with the dumbing down of society so many morons get caught up in and believe his hype.
Good luck to him, as the old saying goes, there's one born every minute.
Very little to zero interest in this fight, the under card looks rubbish as well.
I expect whyte to beat povetkin this time round, whyte is back with his previous trainer mark tibbs so ain't going to make the same mistake as he previously did, it shouldn't go more than 2 rounds.
Then whyte will spout of his usual crap about how good he is blah blah blah.
He had the opportunity to fight for the world title, he refused the 5 million he was offered due to the rematch clause, he's regretted it ever since and his bitterness shows.
He's had 2 attempts to beat beat Fury and failed both times, yes he has the attributes to win, a great jab, fast hands and a devastating right hand but he has no boxing IQ, he will revert back to what he knows when the pressure is put on him and he has a 6'9" 19st man with a great boxing brain, laying all over him, wrestling him, draining his strength and clumping him.
His constant mouthing is about him trying to convince himself he can do it rather than trying to convince the rest of us he can.
As you say, you'll watch it on you tube 24 hours later. Those that want to pay will pay. Why is that a con? No-one's arms is being twisted. Seems totally fair.
These are two second rate heavyweights and once again Hearn is making boxing fans pay to watch them fight, sky already charge people to watch thier service.
BT sport put on Dubois vs Joyce free to view with thier subscription service, a fight I actually had tickets for to go watch, the same with Espn and the Crawford vs Brook & Belchat vs Valdez, two far more significant fights and better fights than Chizora vs Parker.
Once again Hearn is taking the piss out of the boxing fans who are already paying to watch sky TV a premium sport service provider.
Just my opinion fella, all the best.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
One to miss.
Years ago, old fighters who couldn't give it, used to slip down ratings fighting up and coming fighters and in doing so making thier record look bad, Floyd has such an ego he is not willing to fight anyone who could put his perfect record in jeopardy, unfortunately he is actually making a bigger fool of himself by taking on people like mcgregor and this Internet kid.
Oh well, it will appeal to some but hopefully not many on here.
Pulev is 39 years of age, and is not a normal everyday individual.
Pulev is a professional athlete, he is not boozing, being a weasel like most everyday normal people.
Pulev is a worthy challenger, he has only been beaten once 'By Wladimir Kiltschko, who he fought like a madman' but even by fighting Kiltschko like a madman, he made it exciting and gave it a good go etc
I still think Joshua should brutalize him, but make no doubt about it? Pulev in my opinion, has enough boxing skills and durability to take Tyson Fury 12 rounds.
I am not sure what the issue is? There are levels in the sport in boxing. Just because Pulev is not quite on the level of Joshua 'This does not mean that he is a abysmal fighter'.
Mate he got knocked out in 5 rounds by Klitchko 5yrs ago when he was 34yrs old, now he is 39, he isn't gonna be any better than he was then, he is old.
It speaks volumes about the state of heavyweight boxing that Pulev and Povetkin are still considered a danger to current younger heavyweights.
If he gives Joshua a competitive fight then it says more about Joshua and poor he is than how great Pulev is.
