The heavyweight division has lost hundreds of millions of potential dollars. They could have had aj vs wilder for undisputed when they was undefeated. But now that usyk made fury look drunk in the ring and fury went life and death with a mma guy making their debut and Aj Has been getting dribbled of the canvas yes it is still a big fight but no where near what it could have/should have been.
Well said...why pay for flights, hotels and fight tickets to watch a fight in a BORING atmosphere when you can't even let your hair down and enjoy yourself properly without the fear of getting arrested?
I've been to several fights in Vegas (including Pacquiao-Marquez 4) and not only has the atmosphere been ELECTRIC every single time, the opportunity to go clubbing and g@mbling makes it even more worthwhile!
Nothing beats a big fight in Vegas atmosphere. Mayweather vs Canelo was the biggest fight I personally been too and tank vs ryan was nice too. All those Saudi fights look lifeless.
I sat in the Mexican section during Pacquiao-Marquez 4 and although part of me wanted to DIE after Manny got KO'd, I can't deny that the hysteria and jubilation from the Mexican fans was other-wordly. I've never experienced anything like it at ANY sporting event since.

It’s still a big fight no longer the biggest though ,that is now Fury vs Joshua but like Wilder he probably loses bf that happens ……….Usyk is a good fight for anyone but really only a third Joshua fight could spark as much interest there bc Usyk needs that type of opponent, I don’t believe Fury vs Usyk can generate a Joshua vs Usyk interest no matter who wins .
The problem for Wilder is he has to take a safety fight and pick an opponent with less punching power then go for Joshua as a last fight bc I stated this awhile now his shelf life is 2025 or before that , the same with Fury .
If Wilder fights Joshua it will be the same results I expected anyway even worse now that’s a brutal knockout loss for him and that’ll be calling it a day his wife won’t dare let him fight after that one . Kell gave Amir a beating, had Amir on rubber legs a lot and Amir wasn't punching back.
BUT when the ref stopped it, Kell just wasn't landing. He was missing 90% of the punches and we've seen Amir in much worse spots.
Kell could've easily punched himself out.
Poor stoppage imo, Kell threw the kitchen sink at Amir at that point, if he ain't landing - the fight is on.
I think the reason people would complain is because like you said we seen khan in worse situations. We are used to seeing khan wobble all over the ring like a baby deer or or unconscious snoring slumped in the corner. But khan just was not fighting back and he did not seem to really complain about the fight ending either way.
How will it be a financial mistake? Golovkin's corpse sells more than Charla and Bumavidez. Bivol is not very famous but he has high level skills. Canelo haters will especially watch this fight. Also, DAZN is on its way to becoming the Netflix of the boxing world. Showtime's future is not that bright. It's end will be like HBO.
As far main stream goes ggg has fought himself into obscurity. Let’s not act like ggg popularity didn’t take a hit after the loss. Off course more people will tune in because he is fighting canelo but then they will go we seen this allready. Charlo and benavidez are undefeated so more people will tune in for that alone.

From what I’ve heard Canelo is only willing to do business with PBC on a one fight deal basis. He doesn’t quite trust Haymon.
Hearn he has a better relationship with and did a two fight deal with before and is more open to doing another.
Of course with Charlo’s arrest it seems that fight is off the table for now.

Bivol may win this. He is very skilled, very big, very strong, and has completely embarrassed some very good fighters at 175 like Joe Smith and Jean Pascal.
This is no cherry pick and a much tougher fight than today's version of Chalo and Benavidez.

It’s not a cherry pick at all and it adds greatly to Canelo’s legacy but for me and many others never heard of bivol until the canelo sweepstakes lol.
It’s just a fight I’m not interested in and rather see canelo fight people he had on the back burner for a while like charlo and benavidez. Now it will be another year atleast until we see those fights and so we are stuck with bivol and another fighter (ggg) we seen canelo go 24 rounds with no real drama or knock downs.
I doubt Canelo cares about that shìt. He's already set for life. Smith and Beterbiev fights in June. Winner will get 3/4 light heavyweight belts.
If Canelo beats Bivol, he gets the last belt at LHW, which makes him 1 fight away from being the only 2 division undisputed champ in the 4 belt era history.
