I'm seeing plenty of comments about how Canelo has turned down the chance to fight Jermall Charlo and is interested in a big financial deal to face Bivol and GGG. We all know by now the basics of this offer but I've not actually been able to find anything about the PBC offer to face Charlo. So was there one?
I heard that it could of been a Charlo fight flowed by a Benavidez fight but where as it seems DAZN have actually put a package together and offered it to Canelo has the PBC done the same or is all this talk of Canelo turning away from it more to do with him not actually even recieving any offer to face Charlo or Benavidez?
There is no point posters saying he turned it down when there was nothing to turn down.
I think it was at the plant post fight presser canelo said he likes Al haymon and Al haymon likes him so where did you get he don’t trust haymon from?
I know some people.
If it doesn’t happen charlo has no one to blame but himself. Maybe canelo decides to fight him and then does the Bivol/ ggg deal if haymon can pony up enough.
I’m naively thinking and hoping Al can talk to team Canelo and tell them it’s all under control.
Charlo will be out on bail and maybe they can postpone the court dates until the summer.
From what I’ve heard Canelo is only willing to do business with PBC on a one fight deal basis. He doesn’t quite trust Haymon.
Hearn he has a better relationship with and did a two fight deal with before and is more open to doing another.
Of course with Charlo’s arrest it seems that fight is off the table for now.

Bummed with the news. Was hoping for Canelo vs Charlo this May.
Now this fight might never happen. The queue to fight Canelo is long as hell and spans several weight classes. It was now or never.

Do you think so? I can only speak for myself but that match up has had its time in my eyes. Golovkin has started to look like age is catching up with him while Canelo seems to be beyond what he was back then.
Also, I know I was a big defender of DAZN and what it has been trying to achieve but alot of folk on here were saying fighting on a little known app and off the mainstream would damage a fighters marketability and although I argued against that I don't hear any of my casual Boxing fan friends ever mention him any more where at one point he was a known name.
I think they are going to put it on PPV. I think many agree with you but the 1st 2 fights were extremely competitive and many fans think ggg won both.
It’s the biggest fight DAZN can put on exclusively in terms of sales- I think it outsells AJ/Usyk 2.
Same here. Unfortunately that's the only way I see them making the money to pay Canelo if the reported offer is accurate
Me too I think. I don't know what you get for your money in America but all I get is Boxing and to be honest not alot of it, plenty of catalogue material but live top name cards not so much. Ive been through the catalogue as far as old fights I'd want to look at again so if they guna PPV the good cards I'm tempted to cancel and just cherry pick the good PPV fights.
If it were a busier app I'd keep it but it just isn't.
I wonder what Haymon can offer that betters the $85 mil deal reported from Hearn?
I mean they will almost surely lose money on the Bivol fight but they must project the GGG fight to do huge numbers.

With Charlos arrest looks like Canelo goes to Dazn for the $85 mil. The way sports works maybe Charlo markets himself off this and boosts his profile so he becomes the logical choice next May.
I expect Canelo to beat Bivol and GGG.

I have DAZN , the red is a deal breaker if it were to happen I would cancel my SUB

How do they expect to make money since it's a subscription based service? I think I remember Hearn backtracking a few months ago about DAZN not only being subscription based but also charging PPV for some fights. I wonder if that's the route they are going to go down

DAZN is supposedly willing to go up to 100M for those two fights.
Eddy Reynoso said PBC made them an offer and it is widely reported it is a one fight deal to fight Charlo. Of course PBC would like Canelo to then fight Benavidez but that is not part of the deal.
And Canelo hasn't turned anything down since no official decision has been made yet.

Ahhh good, I hadn't been able to find an article that said the PBC had actually sent an offer for A Charlo fight. Right now I would prefer that over either of the DAZN fights but didn't think an offer had been sent.
