In all fairness, If a fight gets announced seven weeks before, then the other side must at least have been in negotiations for a few weeks, so there’s no excuse why the opponent can’t have a good 8-10 week camp.
If their team are in negotiations and they’re not in the gym staying ready, then that’s their fault
On the flip side, I think Canelo is using things like this to time his PED cycles better. Probably don’t start stringent testing until the fight is signed officially, so gives himself more time to get it out of his system. He mistimed it when he got caught because the fight was signed too early and he wasn’t expecting the testers to go to Mexico for the first time.
Yes along with exploiting the day before weigh in rule, weight draining himself to be the big man 'Which will eventually catch up with him'. I have noticed that announcing fights real late is one of his tricks.
Say what you want about Mayweather, but he gave all his opponents optimal time to prepare. I have never ever really seen a Mayweather opponent complain about how they were treated. Apart from fighters wanting wear certain gloves, at the end of the day a glove is a glove 'If you are good enough, you will wear any glove'.
I highly doubt a boxing glove will improve punching power, skills, endurance and creativity.
- - Yo, DunceFool, latter part of l'l Floydy career in his hometown stocked with his choice of refs and judges, he became the role model for TBA Deyonce, ie giving fighters 1-2 wk notice.
I highly doubt U minder know U need U Barney BigBoys changed.
like always he gives the other side minimum time to prepare and make weight properly
The title was so stupid on this thread it actually made me read your name as SATIRE
Logical to give Bivol a short camp and drain him. Bivol hasn't had a knockout in 2018 or 2019. Also gives Canelo time to clear his system. Then again, WBC raised the drug limits for him.
the biggest fraud I have ever seen in boxing.
ginger is like some puppet master with everyone looking at him wondering what hes going to do, he pulls the strings and they dance to his tune, they better be careful they dont want to anger the ginger one, they may get sent to purgatory and banished forever
Exactly!!! And its rumored MONTHS in advance.
Do we need to Bivol??? If so ill email right now!
Yo! Biv. Start training for Canelo ASAP
These idiots act like they're in the know. Like they know what's going on by reading some internet blog while Bivol is oblivious to what's going on. Lol. Bivol has known about this for a long while now. They have it in their head that Bivol's laying around on his sofa not knowing what's going on, meanwhile Canelo's atop some mountain training getting ready to point to Reynoso to call Eddie Hearn at the very last minute to tell him the fight is on so Bivol can start training.
Canelo deliberately fighting guys on short notice is yet another phony narrative haters have come up with over the years. They use the Kovalev and Smith fights as an example even though it holds no water:
Canelo had in fact been pushing to face Kovalev in place of Yarde. It was Kovalev who couldn't or wouldn't get the deal done from his end and proceeded with the Yarde fight first. Meanwhile it was DAZN not Canelo that selected the November fight date because they wanted a month buffer between that fight and Joshua-Ruiz II:
https://twitter.com/idecboxing/status/1171840356620611585?lang=bn The situation wasn't even optimal from Canelo's end because until Kovalev secured the Yarde win, it remained up in there air whether he'd indeed move up to 175 or stay at 160, so not much time to prepare for a 2 division leap in weight.
As for Smith:
Canelo was caught up in litigation with DAZN and Golden Boy and was not free to negotiate a fight. However, he made it clear since September that he was targeting a Dec date and hoping to secure a fight with one of the champs. As soon as his legal situation was settled, he sent out offers to all the champs, and Smith who had also been training all along for December in hopes of landing Canelo or another title fight, accepted.

Again, if anything those guys were the one with the advantage because they could prepare with Canelo more specifically in mind whereas he had no idea which or any of the champs would end up accepting.
The comical thing about that phony narrative is that Canelo is the one busier fighting with shorter turnarounds than anyone. At one point from Dec to last May, he fought 3 times in under a 6 month span. He's been doing more work than all the guys around him combined yet haters with their backwards narratives try to turn his ambition into a negative.
When will his next fight be announced?
How many weeks out from the fight?
2.5 - 3 months?

If your a world class fighter and arent already training then you have no shot anyway.
Youbthink these fighters sit around eating fast food and binging Ozark until day 1 of camp?
like always he gives the other side minimum time to prepare and make weight properly
- - 6-8 weeks standard professional training camp time unlike TBA Deyonce and l'l Floydy who gave fighters 1-2 weeks notice.
U even watch boxing? What grade U in?
That sounds like someone that wants to take drugs while they won’t get tested because they have no official fight set up but they knew the whole time the time and place.
