It's a business with long-term plan more than a sport. Blame can't always be pinned on promoters who made investment on the fighters for their development by supplying them with a steady stream of fights tailor-made for them just to maintain the zero. They gotta have a return of their investment. Otherwise, kids would have no chance of making it. They can't do it on their own... People think of tennis, for example, as a one on one sport when the reality is it's a team vs team effort.
I hear you on that, but the fighter himself, if he's serious about being in the sport for the long run and not just 1 more mega check, he might want to look on breaking off if he's locked in a contract taking him no where. If the promotion company is looking to just cash in on 1 more fight for Brandun because they don't believe in him and Brandun hasn't picked up on that, then he's falling into his own demise. He has the chance to change that himself if he really wants to become something greater than a 1 fight, cash out to satisfy his promoter/contract.
His fight after Madera was a tune up guy, Deigo Luque, someone that would make sense if Brandun was 7-0, not 27-0. Also it has to be noted that Deigo was on a 7 fight lose/draw streak when he fought Brandun. Brandun's last fight was against Campo who was just knocked out by Teofimo and has a respectable reocrd but iirc Brandun struggled in that fight. I think that Madera shot made him gunshy and hesitant. To be fair, I think that Madera shot would've knocked 99% of the division out and big credit for Brandun to will himself up and win, but I think that punch gave him a little PTSD.
that's probably why the fight looked harder than it should for brandun... his opponent came in with nothing to lose but everything to gain.. it usually happen when top fighters face lower level fighter... im gonna be honest here, brandun may be 27-0 but who has he fought tho??? it's not like brandun is on Inoue's level and then struggling against guys like Diego... brandun himself aint proven either! he's 27-0, but he has fought all low level fighters. like i said on my last post, if brandun wants to accomplished more, he needs to get with a real trainer. his pops can only take him so far but to get to the next level, he really need to go get with a real boxing trainer and not just train out of his garage.
how so? he won his next fight after that one with a tko, then UD the fight after that one.

Brandun hasn't looked the same since getting clocked by Madera. I don't know how much of that got in his head, but he needs to get past it.

Got shot filming The Crow back in '93
No, no, no… he talking about Tommy Lee & Pamela Anderson son Brandon Lee. Last I heard he was working on a reality TV
I don’t think it makes massive sense for Benn, it’s a hard fight that he probably wouldn’t win and doesn’t make much money. They’ll cash him out against a bigger name IMO. Signing Stanionis for MR would be great but only if they can get Boots as well or if they can make Stanionis-Giyasov for the full WBA title first.
Beggars can't be choosers, and both Benn and Stanionis are between a rock and a hard place. It would be a great fight, and a test of mettle for Benn. So much time was wasted on Eubank Jr., and he's seemingly regressed due to the inactivity. He needs a serious opponent in front of him, and Stanionis must be ready to bite someone's head off.
Same as with any inactive PBC fighter at this point. If there's not a PPV undercard to stick these guys on, they just don't fight. They don't have the money apparently to put on regular shows anymore.
He has an upcoming fight on a Tom Loeffler card.
It seems like Stanionis is in a perpetual state of waiting. Maybe MR should try to get him for Benn.

Mati was dropped by Matchroom iirc. Stanionis is waiting on a date. Ababiy is fighting in April but again I imagine Matchroom dropped him after some very listless performances.

Ellis, Ennis, Villa with no injury, should have been back by now, or fight being announced 2-3 months ago.
Villa has entertainment value too. Ellis/Villa 2 could've happened already.
Same for reshat mati, stanionis, russian white chocolate …where are they

he actually have a fight coming up soon... he post updates on his instagram page... i have been a bad critic of him.. no hate or anything but i just see him as a weaker ryan garcia... when i said weaker, i dont mean less heart, but he's like a ryan garcia with less skills.. dude trains out of his garage only.. he doesnt really have like a real training camp.. i hope he proves me wrong because he's a good person all around but i just dont see much potential with him.. he needs to get with a real boxing trainer if he wants to succeed imo... i think his pops have done great with him but he needs a more experienced trainer if he wants to continue to improve.
I understand the demise of Showtime caused some uncertainty, but that should have lasted maybe a month tops where they figure out how to move on and get a new contract. Obviously Showtime had to cut the deals they had or they already fulfilled them knowing that they were out the door. I'm surprised it's taking this long for some of them to sort their sh!t out. Are they forgetting this is a young man's sport? That it's a sport where ring rust is a thing? Where being inactive compromises your opportunities if you're not yet a big name? If I were them and somehow still locked into a contract that is going nowhere, it might be time to get a lawyer and spend some of that money to get out of it if they want to make bigger money.
Rashidi Ellis is another. He left GBP due to inactivity....then goes to PBC where he loses to Villa and then goes inactive. What the fxck is happening? The amount of inactivity is out of control.
