Arum knows that Mayweathers obvious for sure date is May 5 and his job is to come up with good reasons on why Pacquiao cant fight on that date.
Sergio Martinez wants to fight at jr middle weight against welters that have all been jr middle weight champions. One of them is even fighting Cotto for a jr middle weight title in 3 months if you didnt know. I dont see the problem. Pacquiao already stepped back and admitted that his 8th division belt was a fluke, but Martinez can call out Mayweather and Cotto as much as he so pleases and you cant do a thing about it.

Golden Boy promotions is needed because Mayweather promotions cant put on a big event nor do they have the assets to do so. Mayweather Promotions isnt really a legit company, I dont even know if it has a phone line and Id imagine that it is compiled of 2 at home employees. Think of it as only a working relationship, no contracts but GBP still has to get paid. But Mayweather is pretty much the only boxer that has the upper hand in his working relationship with a promote and it looks like Cotto is trying to do the same. Mayweather has GBP allow him to slap his Mayweather promotions label all over the place over GBP's. And the cut that he gives them is definitely much smaller than if he was signed with some one, Pacquiao is handing alot more money to Top Rank than Mayweather is to GBP.
