Dissapointing performance.
Him and Barker touched gloves about 10 times, especially when Martinez slipped over Barker's leg, they had a bit of a sportsman-like gesture, Martinez should've thrown a right hook-left hand and that woulda been "that's all she wrote".
It seems like you have no idea how Floyd fights. He did that to Gatti, he used his elbow as punch, choked his opponents using his forearm, he also pushed their neck down to have a free shot. Go in watch the Gatti, Hatton, Mosley and Ortiz fights once again then tell us what did you see.
Since Martinez is a southpaw does that mean he's lined up for Mayweather's lefthook-right hand combo coming out of the break? I think Sergio has a pretty good chin and he pays a bit better attention during the break.
This thread is hilarious.
However, I like how some posters in hurrrr are speaking of Floyd, as if he's one of the most dirty, and dishonest fighters in the sport. da fukkk? He got headbutted purposefuly in one of the dirtiest fouls to ever happen in boxing and subsequently got kissed on the cheek. da fukk? And ya'll are calling him dirty? It's not even that. But, a lot of you make it seem as if he sucker punched Ortiz out the blue. nikka Ortiz fouled him, and kissed him b4 that happen. Stop being biased up in hurrrr

That's because Sergio is not a dirty ghetto n1gger like mayweather, Sergio actually has class something the crackheads maywethers severly lack!!
So if Sergio ingested crack and had less class he could've knocked out Darren Barker earlier?
There is a blueprint no doubt, But Floyd doesnt have that kind of style to do it, you either walk him down and break him down like Margarito did or you stand in there with him toe to toe and hope the judges are as nice to you as they were to williams and keep in mind Williams hit the canvas in that fight as well.
I am sorry but the only way Floyd beats him is if he makes sergio come down to 150 or 154ish, anything above that Sergio is healthy enough to give Floyd his first defeat.
Sergio has a gameplan to get beat, Floyd doesn't. Don't you get it yet? I've just shown you 15 times Floyd would've gotten Sergio outta there, no more writing, "that's all she wrote". Floyd doesn't have a blueprint to get beat, and we already know he'd have knocked Sergio out after the headbutt in the 9th round.
Sergio dissapiointed me. He has absolutely no chance against the unbeatable, look at how many times he could've finished the writing and he came up short every time. He has a blueprint to get beat.

Tevez > Messi
Lets be real with it, Sergio did not disapoint, though I think he could have and should have went to the body with that straight left hand earlier I think he would have gotten him out of there a few rounds earlier had he done that.
However Barker was a tuff son of a *****, pillars for a defense kinda hard to split that high gaurd like that against a man who is obviously much bigger than you are over all.
The stoppage actually started in round 10 when Sergio caugth him with a right hook and it wobbled him from there it was all down hill. There was little known about Barker, Sergio had to find out about him the old fashion way, and he found a way to win and did so by knock out.

Heh, that really does show how dirty Floyd is. There was one point in the fight where Barker and Martinez hugged in the ring well after the ref had call the fight in.
They hugged, stepped back and went back to work. I jokingly told my friend, "Uh oh.. here it comes! .. fight over!"
but Martinez and Barker have honor and I guarantee neither boxer even contemplated a sucker punch even when it would have been so easy.
I just saw that, it was in mid-9th round. Sergio was pissed and they touched gloves for a few seconds.
Instances like these exemplify why I was so dissapointed with Sergio, he wouldn't have to have had "she" keep writing, it could've been, "that's all she wrote."

Barker absolutely violated the number one rule in boxing "protect yourself at all times". C'mon Sergio, a win is a win, no matter how ***** you look.
a headbutt is a much worse foul, especially the way ortiz was doin it.
A headbutt and and elbow is the same they are both fouls, What ortiz did yes was dirty was wrong nobody has even debated that, I beleive it was in frustration and retaliation again Floyd has been warned in the early part of the 2nd round about that elbow.
crillz
Nobody is defending Ortiz per say, I think everybody here agrees that the headbutt was dirty. What we do disagree with is how Cortez ****ing lost control, weather time was in or not.
At the point in which Mayweather loaded up with that left hook, Cortez said bell. and when you hear a referee say bell, well chances are your thinking the round is over, and thats where the **** up was, he did not follow the rules and he has gotten away with it.
I am sorry though but as a fighter, if you start throwing your elbow out there as I am moving in if the ref doesnt do **** ima get your ass one way or the other be it a headbutt, a low shot or an elbow back.
sammiza567 I am sure you do not box at all again nobody said the fight wasnt dirty, but to use the headbutt as justfication in this matter well I say you dont know the sport that much.
if barker was ko'd by a blocked grazing shot imagine what would have happened if sergio unloaded a right-left combo on a defenseless barker trying to touch gloves.......he'd be killed instantly.
Cool story bro.... and of course Floyd wasnt using that elbow, nor was he holding and hitting
you can't seriously be defending Ortiz man, how can you defend his antics? the fact that he denied it then admitted it only to deny it again only to admit it again. he changed his mind more times on that thn Manny did on the testing.
Dissapointing performance.

Wow what a way to talk about Floyd without even mentioning his name, can't make threads talking about him so you go make threads talking INDIRECTLY about him? unbelievable..
what Floyd did was not wrong homie, he had nothing but opportunity and he took advantage of it. if you think we can't read threw the sarcasm you're just plain stupid..
I'm pretty sure this was a joke, it must be because you can't be serious
Cool story bro.... and of course Floyd wasnt using that elbow, nor was he holding and hitting
ortiz got what he deserved. it was a dirty fight by both fighters but ortiz was dirtier. by far. if you disagree you dont box too much.
Foyd only sucker punched ortiz because ortiz had been fouling mayweather with headbutts. Floyd saw the perfect opportunity to hit him hard for being such a cheat
Cool story bro.... and of course Floyd wasnt using that elbow, nor was he holding and hitting
Haha I also thought something was going to happen after they went in for a hug.
Was thinking a hook after a hug would be the new trend in boxing.
but naw, Martinez and Barker are gentlemen boxers.
He certainly showed that he is not in Floyd's "class" with that performance.
I disagree, styles make fights, Floyd doesnt have that style nor is he as big s Barker.
if we look at this fight and pass judgement and claim he is not in Floyds class well thats just a stupid thing to do.
When Lennox Lewis fought Mavrovic he did not look on Holyfields level and guess what happend when He fought Holyfield? he spanked him
