Yep I would agree that it is underrated. I think it's partly do to with his history of brittle hands. I think if he lets fly with everything he has he runs the risk of breaking his hands so he only lets go of a real hard one when he HAS to.

I should add to my point however that it is MOST casual fans who underrate Floyds power. There is a group of fans out there however who predict stoppages for every single Mayweather fight and THOSE people are the opposite. They drink a little too much Kool-Aid

Floyd Mayweather has fought some very solid opposition over the course of his career and is without question one of the all time greats. I think the beef with Floyd and people calling him a cherrypicker stems from 3 things. 1. Floyd Mayweather vs Arturo Gatti as opposed to Kostya Tzyu or Ricky Hatton at 140. 2. Floyd Mayweather went into "retirement" right when the Welterweight division was red hot and there were several fights people were itching to see. 3. Obviously the Pacquiao fight never materialised. Now it would be far fetched to say that all these things are Floyds fault and/or were bad decisions. But it is also safe to say that if Floyd had atleast fought some of these fights (at that time) then his resume looks a LOT better and doesn't get as much critisism.

Cotto beat Clottey... people who don't follow boxing that close will think of the Clottey that fought Pacquiao but Clottey is a tremendous fighter.

Victor Ortiz attacked with one of the worst fouls I have seen in quite some time. Floyd Mayweather (legal or not) showed some of the worst sportsmanship I have ever seen and behaved disgracefully. Joe Cortez looked completely incompetant and should quite frankly never ref another fight again. All three guys in the ring that night were completely lousy and all three guys should receive critisism, and a lot of it. I wish they would all recieve huge fines but I know it won't ever happen.

Khan is overrated but still very good. On his own he is not enough to beat Mayweather but he has the X-Factor that is Freddie Roach. I know a lot of people think Freddie isn't that great but... they're wrong.

I just don't see any skills in UFC no grace I couldn't watch it even tho My cousin orders every UFC card.. just doesn't seem like a sport to me more like an entertainment like watching WWE I used to agree with you but not anymore. I still prefer boxing but I now love both sports. The more you watch MMA and learn about it the more gracefull it looks. Comparing Floyd's speech in the beginning of his career until now, I've noticed a noticable change in his speech. He stutters and speaks a lot slowly now then before. Regarding Floyd's next 3-4 opponents, at this moment, I wouldn't mind seeing: 1. Pac 2. Khan 3. Martinez 4. Cotto Those are exactly the guys I want to see him fight. My respect for Floyd will go up big time if he gets in the ring with these guys. Although Martinez might be a bit too big.
