He did the same thing, announcing it to the world, when Genaro Hernandez died though, so I'm not as harsh about it. This is just the way he is, so I appreciate the gesture more than criticize the public way he said it. I do have a problem with saying "the Money team" but that's about it.
This
The gesture should be taken for what it is.
As poor as Manny's gameplan was, I never expected to see an improved JMM... it looked like this would be too much at this stage of his career, he put on a great performance.
Pacquaio is worth too much money, to too many people
Since the other decisions were so close, JMM should've been right to think that this was the time to go for the single win which he has more than earned over the trilogy... it's just laughable that a 38 year old, 7-1 underdog was not even given the chance at that.
wrong again...those first two fights had kd's and if you notice pac still landed the more meaningful punches too.. on this one, no kd's and pac outlanded jmm in all punch categories...comprende gringo?...
So according to the Compubox stats you've provided, the average successful punches landed per round were 30.56% to Marquez and 28.57% to Pacquiao. #factsstraight
Like I said on Facebook. There is no money to be made by giving JMM the decision.
Floyd/Pacquiao has been more trouble than it's worth
I honestly don't believe they give Pac the decision without a huge fight in the pipeline.
Pretty interesting... but it wouldn't suprise me if the testing issues get brought up in negotations and unless the two camps are desperately seeking the extra tests then they just pass over the subject with no second thoughts, I don't think any team wants to see negotiations stall.
Ward doesn't even drink alcohol I doubt he would ever use PEDs. He is the product of natural talent + years of hard work in the gym.
Ward is the last person I'd expect as a ped user
I think it's more the doubt due to his call for action and then nothing... there's much more suspicious cases out there than Wards *cough adamek and haye*
And for Wards case, who's to say the tournament agreement didn't state anything about extra testing... so if Green or Froch decided they didn't want the distraction when truthfully nobody is really expecting them to test, then they could just argue the initial agreement or contract was to follow standard testing procedures, which would force Wards camp into either agreeing with them or delaying/ending negotiations.
The fact that he can mix his style up will help, he'll lose rounds being outboxed by Ward but if he can drag himself back into it like he's shown in the past then Ward will need to show exceptional composure to get the win
Froch is unpredictable and a lot of it will be down to how Ward reacts to his style; the safe bet is clearly Ward by decision but it wouldn't suprise me at all if Froch nicked it.
The ref backed Khan into a corner, he struggles to throw punches up close since he has the arms of a gorilla, so being told to fight his way out everytime didn't help... it changed the course of the fight.
If the weights had been equal, and JMM had shown the ability to fight at that weight (e.g. not getting put down several times by a decision-master), then Floyd would get a bit more credit.
Styles make fights, also JMM did not look comfortable at that weight against Floyd who was pounds heavier
Still a win against a JMM out his depth, for me.
