khan is garbage

Always felt Khan was overrated.

Funny how Khan wants the rematch quick fast and in a hurry but when Maidana felt he didn't get a fair shake against him, Khan made every excuse not to fight him again...funny how that works!! Now its...if Peterson had the balls...wtf were ur balls against Maidana then? I'm cool with it though. Another W for Peterson.

Khan is alright but he has weaknesses and with his attitude it is hard to imagine them getting fixed. Anybody that he can't just blow away from the outside and has an ability to track him down stands a good chance of beating him and anybody truly elite eviscerates him. Maybe he wins a rematch with Peterson but really what does that mean for his long range potential, he is what he is and he will only get worse~

I'm keeping this thread for the rematch, mates.

oh come on. say what you want about Khan, but the guy is a damn good offensive fighter. his weaknesses have always been his durability, defense and lack of infighting. He completely dominated Judah, Kotelnik and Malignaggi. those are quality wins. but you put him in there against pressure fighters and its a whole different story. not to mention Peterson is not a bad fighter by any means. Aye. I ain't no Khan fan. But even I can say he's pretty good.

Khan has a problem of placing his punches. He punches just to punch.

Very true...Roach fighter live off offense, Khan stood straight up way too many times and when cornered he used that soft high guard that left room for uppercuts all night...his head movement was wack!! Thats right I guess now Khan can't complain about people ducking him I think even Bradley might think he's there for the taking.

Zab is over the hill, you shouldn't have used that fight to measure Khan's improvements. Zab gave Khan space to do his work and get were as Lamont didn't allow him that, same can be said for Maidana.

100% agree with this post...he's a sucker for for a uppercut just like Roaches other star fighter, no inside game and when things changed lastnite he started back peddling, pushing and pulling Lamonts head down. With that said, he is quick and has heart...would love to see him fight Ortiz or the Ghost after the rematch. Khan is a very good athlete with gloves on. His speed, flash, and natural athleticism mask his flaws. Flaws that I doubt will be corrected under Roach. The guy has the worst advice in the corner.

Using a Rafael scorecard on here just says that you're kind of clueless about boxing. I don't think anybody but casual fans give a damn about his opinion about anything. He's a boxing journalist, it's his job to have an opinion not yours. His opinions are actually respected here in the UK and Sky use him for some of their boxing programmes. And if I was going to quote or make a reference to anyone to argue a case I'd rather use an expert in the field not some dude who tells other people they know 5hit about the sport :wave:

Lamont peterson and maidana showed the blueprint in beating khan Cut off the ring , trap and when you do, punch hard/sit down on everything you throw.
