couple things...
1 -manny agreed to the rematches because he wanted a clear win over marquez which he never had. he said this in a few interviews when asked about it.
2 - before the last fight both guys said if there was definitive conclusion then that would be the end of it. you can check all the pre-fight interviews to confirm that. for marquez i would believe him because, regardless of how much money he could make in another fight against mayweather, he didn't chase it because he knew he lost very definitively in their fight.
3 - that was as clear of a conclusion as there can possibly be.
4 - marquez probably could beat manny, especially the manny that we've seen now. but it's not going to be as crazy as that one punch ko that sent manny into next week. just because he probably won't ko manny doesnt mean he cant beat him. the two things aren't mutually tied together. that being said, manny can also win the rematch.
5 - i would like to see the 5th fight. but if manny said before the 4th fight that it would end if there's a definitive conclusion (which he did say) then i don't think marquez owes him anything. i hate when guys challenge you do to something in a do or die situation then when you succeed they start making excuses and call a mulligan to try to get you to do it again. that's a b*@($ move.
That's a lot of effort on your part to be wrong. Idiot keep doing your homework and analysis. LOL!
Khan Just As Well, Because He Refuses To Fight Top Contenders At 147 Who Hit!
I've heard enough of Khan. Great if he wants to do humanitarian work, just quit taking up space talking about everyone's career, how Floyd & Manny are ducking you, how Kell Brook isn't at your level, how you say you'd love to fight Thurman to give fans an action fight they'd love, then tell Thurman you two are on different paths. How Provodnikov signed an offer sheet to fight, sent it to you, and Provo heard crickets. You've had more than enough time now at 147 to fight and beat ANY of the best from Bradley to Thurman to Porter to Brook, and you stay away from them all. You don't fight Crawford even!
That's Why He Begs For Rematches, No Matter How Many, Until He Gets ONE Win
Hates to lose so much, he won't extend ONE rematch to Pacquiao who gave him 4 fights and made him a very wealthy man. Marquez knows he can't duplicate the fourth fight, and he can't pull off any kind of win over Manny. If he could, he'd take another fight for the biggest payday of his career and KO Manny again! Lol. That ain't happening.
Why Is Khan Thinking A Win Over COLLAZO Gets A Fight With Floyd ???
Go dominate Porter, Provodnikov, Thurman...a top contender, then call out Floyd. Thinking you did something special beating Collazo, you're just delirious.
Khan dropped Collazo three times, something no other fighter has ever done before. What more do you want?
Besides, Khan is more of a defensive fighter under Virgil Hunter. Collazo was just desperately trying to get Khan into an in-fight brawl, but Khan didn't fall for it... And yet he still floored Collazo three times.
Who did Collazo ever beat????
Which Is Why Floyd Avoided Manny 6 Yrs; His Health & Getting KO'd Is More Important
So he avoids the biggest payday in Boxing history for fear Manny might hurt him. Nobody else has ducked Manny. Nobody else has a problem with Arum. Nobody else ever accused Manny & PEDs. Even the long list of guys beaten or knocked out by Manny ever had or voiced any problems fighting Manny no matter the outcome..... Except Floyd.
Now days before the Maidana fight, Floyd is nervous about getting hurt again, nervous because he got cut and mugged in the last fight and his 37 yr old legs can't carrying him the way he did. Getting knee'd concern is a joke. If you watch the fight again, he was no where close to getting knee'd. Maidana showed it to him, to psych him and mess with his head. Robert Garcia is getting in Floyd's head too. That's what happens to big mouths that try to bully themselves as the untouchable, then when someone else phukks with you, you don't like it. I never hear Floyd respond to his patented elbow strikes he's constantly accused of. Typical bad azz from the hood, crack them in the mouth, pull them into a real street fight, and they all cry foul. Manny is still available Junior if you're so concerned with a dirty Maidana.
Larry Holmes In His Prime, Would Have Blown Up 185lb Marciano w/Jackhammer Jab
Holmes was one bad dude in his prime, had a mean streak in the ring, and the hardest hitting jab in Boxing history. Larry was 6'3" 220, and would have bust apart Marciano no doubt. Not to say Marciano was not an all time great; he was. Holmes in his prime, too big, too strong would blow up a 5'10" 185lb Rocky Marciano.
I Would Pay Any Amount Of Money To See This Fight
Finally a full fledged, in his prime, Welterweight in Brook as opposed to these "names" well past their prime, to spice up Garcia's resume at 147. Haymon won't have the ballz to make this fight happen, because Brooks athleticism, defense, punching power, conditioning, and ring generalship, would give Danny a "swift" beatdown. No way Haymon offers that fight up, despite how much fans would love to see it. Al will sit tight to strategically find another "name" past his prime; maybe a 42 yr old Juan Manuel Marquez or Mike Alvarado.
Of Course! I Couldnt Wait To Hear What These Deadbeats Had To Say About This Beatdown
Now idiots want to say he didn't hurt Rios, he "just" won on points. You mean like Mayweather does every fight???? Pacquiao gave Rios a beat down, a lesson on Boxing, embarrassed him by easily winning every round, and re confirmed what some of us already knew, is Rios isn't in this league. His only claim to fame is that he beat the guy that beat him in a rematch; both B-level fighters. Everybody talked about the killer Rios was. Now Rios can hang the credential on his résumé. He went the distance and took a physical beat down by a future all time great of the sport. Just like Paulie Mags does from the beating he took from Cotto going the distance. We should hear very little out of Rios and Alvarado moving forward. They both took a schalacking from Pac and Provo who are very close friends and never fight one another. Marquez is afraid to take another fight with Pacquiao, so just as well set up Bradley so he can take another beat down by Pacquiao
as expected, this was basically 2 guys at different skill levels -- before we start hyping Manny's 'comeback', let's realize that this was basically a showcase fight for him -- by that I mean any time an aging elite guy chooses to fight someone who LOST his last fight, you know that he was handpicked as an opponent to look good against -- Rios was made to order for Manny, that's why he was chosen -- let's see what Manny does when he steps up in class....
You're an idiot too. It's too bad you don't know more about boxing. Do your homwork, clown. Pacquiao offered Marquez TWICE the money he got for Bradley and Marquez wanted no part. Pacquiao offered the same to Bradley for a rematch and they declined. They both took less money to fight each other than a war with Pacquiao. So Rios was available and everyone in Boxing said. "Oh that's a dangerous fight for Pacquiao!" Go dig up the headlines, the articles. "If Manny can't handle the bombs of Rios, its time to retire". YOU read the headlines, idiot. So don't make this out to be some made to order opponent, just like they said about Ortiz, Guerrero & Canelo for Mayweather. To a man, this was to have been a very dangerous fight for Pacquiao, and Manny made him look juvenile, and gave him a real beat down. So shut the fuqkc up clown.
An exaggeration. PAC beat him on points. Never hurt rios. Actually rios did better than I thought. He improved his boxing big time. PAC on the other hand will get his ass handed to him by provodnikov.
You're an idiot. You mean Pacquiao gave him an embarrassing beat down winning every round. Just like Mayweather does in every fight; wins a decision. You have a problem with that? Provo & Pac are very good friends. Have sparred in the ring together many times, but have both said they won't fight one another. Got a problem with that? Like Mayweather & Boner have said the same thing. Got a problem with that? Rios can go back to fighting the Alvarados of Boxing.
When U Knock Guys Out, Hard To Get Fights! Paulie Mags Has NO Problems!
Brooks is a big hitter and pretty driven. Provo & Gennady have found that to be the case as well.
LOL! Khan Thinks He Was Mentioned Alongside Floyd Because He's Good Or Something!
Hilarious. Now Khan tells Brook he needs to go prove himself, as though Khan himself is an elite fighter! What a joke. He's been avoiding Brook for years. Brook and everyone knows that. So maybe Khan will fight Thurman, maybe Boner, maybe Guerrero. Let's get Khan knocked out and send him back to the UK.
Khan Hasn't Beaten Anyone Recently Credible, And Can't Stay Off The Canvas!
Brook got boned, but Khan will get nothing done with Alexander. If Devon can get a win over Maidana, Khan has no shot. Put Khan in with Provodnikov and see how that works out at 147.... Khan doesn't deserve a title shot with Alexander. Provo would make very quick work of Khan's glass chin.
Amir Khan Is SO FAR FROM Deserving A Fight With Floyd! Are U Kidding Me!!!
Amir Khan has been dropped in his last three fights, he's beaten NOBODY in recent memory credible or worthy. I clearly see Floyd taking another hand picked easy opponent like Khan JUST TO SELL out Wembley Stadium from Khan's home fans... so it only makes sense for Floyd from a $$$$ stand point. That's one fight where Floyd might actually get a KO win. FLoyd can't hurt anyone else. The biggest money period, is Floyd versus Manny Pacquiao, STILL! Back to KHAN... he has this bad habit of wanting to talk about other fighters before he settles with the opponent he's about to fight. KHAN doe NOT deserve the payday, or the opportunity to fight Floyd; he's looking for that LOTTERY TICKET pay day, that's it! Khan needs to destroy Devon Alexander and that won't happen, then Khan would need to go out and beat a Marquez or a Danny Garcia, or a Manny Pacquaio before he gets a pay day with Floyd. IN fact Pacquiao deserves it before any of those fools.
Brook Clearly Isn't Next For Mayweather, But I Agree Khan Should NEVER Be Considered!
Two reasons Khan is being considered for Mayweather. 1) He'd be a big EASY draw from a money stand point in the UK. 2) He's one shot, light hitting fighter, Mayweather could knock out. Floyd hasn't knocked anyone out since Victor Ortiz dropped his hands and looked to the referee for instructions, and Floyd sucker punched him, not looking. Floyd always talks about how "he wanted to go for the knock out with Guerrero, but I hurt my hand".... "Oh I wanted the knock out of Canelo, but I hurt my hand"... Floyd doesn't knock ANYBODY out, but he could knock out Khan who has beaten NOBODY, has been on the canvas in most of his fights these days, and is very much a shot fighter. Kell Brook needs to fight a big name and come out on top decisively. Brook should go beat Provo, go beat Matthysse, go beat Danny Garcia, then call out a Mayweather if you're looking for that lottery ticket payday. Amir Khan on the other hand..... there are a dozen other fighters that deserve the shot before him. Maybe Khan can get a fight with UK favorite, Livingston Bramble... Bramble is probably 50 by now, but that fight would sell in the UK.
You are getting emotional with it. Cotto is right, money talks. GGG is NOT a big $$ fight for Cotto. He would sooner fight Mayweather or Manny. it's just business at this point. Cotto is not a rookie taking on all comers for $10,000 anymore.
That's always the excuse, and there's nothing emotional about it. That's how fighters & promoters posture today then call it "business". Nobody is calling for a Mayweather-Cotto rematch nor have they been calling for a Cotto-Pacquiao fight. Cotto has already said as has Freddie Roach, Manny and Cotto have no interest fighting each other. Manny isn't going above 147, and Cotto is no longer interested in fighting below '54. Cotto choosing to avoid Canelo & Gennady is nothing more than two huge potentials to lose, and that's the end of Cotto's bargaining power. Cotto gets knocked out by Gennady, people stop talking about Cotto. A Canelo-Cotto fight no longer has the same pop at the box office. Cotto loses to Canelo (and he would), then Cotto never fights GGG (and probably won't anyway). If this is "just business", Cotto makes a lot more money fighting Canelo & Gennady, than Geale or Tim Bradley or Brandon Rios. Your comment about Cotto taking on all comers as a rookie for $10k, is just an illiterate comment. He doesn't need all comers, just fight your division best at '54 & '60... Why is that a problem idiot.
Maybe, but if your gonna go after someone from gb, how about broner, d. Garcia, R. Guerrero, Keith Thurman?
OR.... Let Khan fight Provodnikov! We saw the beatdown he gave Tim Bradley. Let Provo put that on Khan-job.
Ellerbe Can't Read Harry Potter Either; You're Not Bigger Than Boxing
Play by the rules, clown. It's all been clearly spelled out. Ellerbe just trying to stay on the payroll, so his comments are nothing more than image control. The problem is their egos are so inflated, they think they play by different rules, they also have a history of not paying their bills, thinking they don't need to, or when it's convenient to them. Phukk Floyd Jr & Co.
Seems That What Chavez Problem Too; Not Enough Money
Junior if you're serious and not high on weed, call Arum and make the fight with Gennady and I'm sure he drops the lawsuit. After that one fight you're a free agent and you can go sign with any company other than Arum, once you recover from the concussion symptoms Gennady leaves you horizontal with.
http://lh6.ggpht.com/-dWccVPy63hg/U8VplMJcYRI/AAAAAAAACMk/F7CNoIwkJGs/s360/ac3im.gif
You're so stupid you don't see it in you. Gennady was supposed to have been exposed, annihilated by Curtis Stevens who was knocking everyone out at '60, once he came down from '68. Gennady blew thru him, and you and everyone else will get on their heels and claim, "well everyone knew Stevens was over rated"... LOL!!! Yeah they did... They say that now, nobody have GGG a chance with Stevens. You'll say that all the way thru Cotto, thru Canelo, thru Chavez at some point. Idiots like you shouldn't even be allowed to post. Lol.
Getting pounded by an unknown with half the number fights is not a good look.
Right, let's recap. Your unknown got dropped in the 2nd round, got dropped in the 3rd. They was a violent clash of heads, which opened up a horrible cut on Jones and he could no longer see out of that eye. This unknown threw a lot of punches at the cut, and the ringside doctor stopped the fight on account of the horrible cut, that blinded his vision.
So suffice to say, there was nothing wrong with Mike Joned and he is far from finished. Bad luck on the clash of heads that laid open a. It to blind him in one eye. Prior, Jones dropped your boy twice, then came the head clash.
Let the cut heal, and Jones finished this guy inside 5 rounds.
Nacho Is Senile! Last Time We Checked U Have No Say; U Have No Belt!!!!
First the US was not fair or neutral. Marquez NEEDED that '47 title! Prayed Bradley would beat Pacquiao so they could cry for a Bradley rematch. Didn't work out. Won't fight Floyd or Manny for their strap. Shawn Porter called out Marquez for his strap before he lost it to Brook, and Marquez wanted no part of Porter. NOW he won't fight Brook for his belt in UK because Nacho had a bad experience with another fighter there allegedly. So NOW Nacho seems to think the US might be neutral ground after all, until he loses another decision and they'll be crying foul all over again. Nacho & JMM are never satisfied. Manny offered a fight in Macau, TAX FREE to both fighters, Marquez' biggest payday ever, and Juan purposely priced himself out of wack asking for $20M, knowing nobody would give Marquez that kind of money; hence his way of saying he doesn't want to fight Manny. He can't get Mayweather again. He won't fight Brook in UK, do I'd say Juan should retire, so we don't have to hear from he or Nacho again. Sh*t, all the demands Marquez and Nacho make, you'd think he had the belt! Hell Marquez wouldn't even fight Provo when called out. I'm tired of Marquez trying to weasel into a weak link for a belt at '47, to satisfy his ego. He'd love to have the fight in Mexico City where the Cartel can influence judges in the case of a 12 round decision. I'm sure that's neutral ground to Marquez. If he had a belt, he could make that demand. Unfortunately.....
Unless You're A Pacquiao Fan, You Say Stupid Stuff Like "Their Team Is A Joke"
Manny is business as usual. He's always gotten it right financially every fight, they don't duck anyone. They have dogged Mayweather for not wanting to fight. They approached Marquez, he won't fight, they approached Bradley, Bradley wouldn't fight, so they fought Rios who everyone said was a dangerous fight. Koncz was stupid if in fact he threw Gamboa's name in the hopper... Arum steered that right, Gamboa is not an option and that gets him new life. Guerrero has sat around spending his millions in defeat to Mayweather... he's done nothing since... he shouldn't be of interest until he gets back in the game and does something. Pac is going to fight Bradley next, period. Provo talk is just a pawn, leverage for making a Bradley deal happen... notice how quiet Bradley Camp has been of late.
Then Maybe No-It-All Marquez Needs To Stop Bradley, Then Challenge Canelo Himself
Now that Marquez, behind on all scorecards, running out of gas, landed his hail mary to stop Pacquiao, now Marquez knows everything about everybody; I've never heard him so vocal about everyone else. Then I say, stop Bradley if you can catch him, then have Canelo come meet you at 152 and put a whipping on that boy, in Mexico City.... a monster pay day for you both, and you can show the world you know what you're talking about... I lay money you don't finish the fight Marquez.
Lol @ Cotto being 37
33 or 37... Do you really f'n think it matters against Canelo or GGG??? Wipe your jizz off your Cotto poster. Cotto is not big enough or strong enough to beat Canelo or GGG. Cotto beat a shot, injury prone Sergio. I'm a huge Cotto fan, but he doesn't have enough game left after all the wars he's had, and no bigger than he is, to beat Canelo or GGG. Make you feel better???? You clowns thinking you understand their contracts, their promotional strategies, theories about Arum, are just fantasizing as though you're on the inside. Cotto puts up a helluva fight with Canelo right in front of him but comes up short. Cotto gets stopped by Gennady if they dare make that fight happen.
GIVE ME A BREAK! Canelo? Cotto? LOL! He Won't Fight The Best At 147!!!
I love Oscar, the fights he's making today, the class he brings to Boxing, the Hall of Fame career he had, his ability to put differences behind with Arum... But let's not get carried away with thinking for a moment Khan EVER called out Canelo OR Cotto! "He'll fight anybody... He's a throwback"... Give me a break!!!! He won't fight Brook, Thurman, Porter, Bradley, or Provodnikov at 147, ALL who have called Khan out!!! Khan will be looking for a rematch with Devon Alexander before year's end!!! Lol.
