AMIR KHAN insists he is the man who can finally defeat Floyd Mayweather Jnr.
The Bolton boxer dumped Luis Collazo onto the canvas three times in a masterclass performance in Las Vegas on Saturday night, winning by a landslide points decision on the undercard of the world's best pound for pound fighter.
Now Khan wants the next crack at the unbeaten American superstar.
Khan, 27, said: "Now people know that at 147lbs a fight against Mayweather would be amazing.

It just stinks of desperation.
agreed, if Khan would just focus on his OWN career, and maybe beat someone in the top 10 @ Welterweight, the Mayweather fight mighta just happened naturally
**SMH at the relevance of Khan's win @ 140 over Maidana. Yes it's the same Chino Maidana that Floyd fought, but Khan beat him in 2010 when he was at 140
when you're taking into account Khan's current Welterweight runs, the only names that are relevant should be who he's beaten at 147 (Collazo and Julio Diaz)
I don't agree with Collazo being a better test then Abregu at present moment..Who is Ortiz again,a fighter who had been out of the ring for close to two yrs and was coming back off a lost in which he quit..Stop already, your making your self sound dumber by the second..
Abergu does not have to be top 10,he was a undefeated WW with a 80% KO ratio..AKA he was dangerous..Collazo had loss to Hernandez within the pass two yrs and was nothing more then a journeyman..
You keep forgetting Khan is not in same position that Bradley was in,so why not stop making references like they are..Khan has very lil credibility right now,and should be trying to build that back up..Bradley had credibility which is why his fight with Pac went off without a hitch..Bottom line is Khan needs to make himself a creditable opponent..A win over Collazo does not do that..
No, Khan was in exactly the same position as Bradley back in 2011, just before his controversial loss to Peterson. Prior to that, there were talks between the Khan and Bradley camps for a light-welterweight unification bout, but it was Bradley who backed away from it. Bradley himself admitted that he was scared to face Khan:
Default Timothy Bradley "If I Lose To Amir Khan I'm Out Of Mayweather / Pacquiao Sweepstakes"
"At the end of the day, let's say I lose the fight, what happens then? I'm out of the sweepstakes with Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao"
Bradley was worried that a loss to Khan would end his dreams of facing Pacquiao or Mayweather. Bradley himself knew that he wouldn't be able to out-box Khan, and that the only way to beat him is with raw punching power, something a feather-fisted Bradley just doesn't have.
Oh great, now he's going to go on & on about how he deserves to fight Mayweather now because he beat bum Collazo.
You felt quite different before the fight.
my man collazo ready to take khan's head off. he has nothing but evil intentions on his mind. retirement awaits for khan.
Thurman is a bigger name in the US than Khan. I'd say if by some miracle Khan wins against Collazo, then his next fight could well be against Thurman. Stop acting like it's a stupid idea they could fight... well, I guess it is kinda stupid, because Thurman's on the up, whilst Khan's getting stretched out on Saturday night, knocked into retirement.
You Khantards are hilarious.
If by some miracle Khan beats Collazo, there's a possibility Khan will fight Thurman next. Imagine that. :lol1:
Yall know Khan-Maidana wasnt at 147 right? That fight means jack shyt. Khan gets raped by Floyd dont kid yourselves.
Khan made 140 too you hoe. Maidana was faster and hit harder at 140.

Oh ok so Khan has to beat a guy in the top 10 but other fighters can face bums as long as they have a high KO %.
Gotcha.
How many times have Dirk and Rome had this argument? You guys aren't bored yet?
I'm debating weather Khan should be up for a Mayweather fight..Which I clearly don't believe he should be at this moment..I feel he needs to do more,it's a hot topic..I don't believe this forum will stop talking about it for a while..
No because Khan kicked his ass.
I never said he was the same fighter as years ago. I said he was a better Welterweight opponent than Abumgu.
Collazo was coming off a KO victory over Ortiz. What had Casamayor been doing for the past few years except getting baked on his couch?
Stop it.
Was Abumgu ranked in the top 10?

i'm getting tired of this guy always hyping himself up...
he's a bit exciting because of the anticipation of him getting KTFO but other than that, he bores me... to much holding..
No he didn't lmmfao. He barely hung on to victory. He ran the entire fight after round 1, was hurt badly a couple of times and looked like a monster after the fight.
Khan dominated Maidana almost the entire fight, clearly dominating the first 9 rounds by a considerable margin, which includes knocking down Maidana in round 1. The only rounds that Maidana dominated were 10 and 11, before a very competitive round 12.
In comparison, Floyd never came close to dominating Maidana the way Khan did, nor did Floyd manage to knock down Maidana like Khan did either. The Maidana-Mayweather fight looked almost like a draw.
Furthermore, Maidana was using harder-hitting gloves against Khan, but was using lighter-hitting gloves against Floyd.
The fact remains that Khan's performance against Maidana was far better than Floyd's performance against the same opponent.
Yall know Khan-Maidana wasnt at 147 right? That fight means jack shyt. Khan gets raped by Floyd dont kid yourselves.
Why would that fight mean jack sh1t I wonder?
You beat collazo!!!!!!!!
COLLAZO!!!!!!!
Who comes to a weight class AFTER loosing to the best at his old weight class (....my bad ...knocked the f**k out ......) beats a c level fighter and does it in the most dirty way possible and then calls out the best at that new weight!!!!!!???????
Call out kell....devon....tim....pac.....must i go on!!!!!!????
Collazo is barely a B level fighter. He always loses when he steps up in competition.

Khan doesn't stand a chance in hell against Porter. Porter applies constant pressure, is strong, and has power. Khan has no inside game, and would get stopped.
And Khan still has a glass jaw.
Khan looked better in the first 9 rounds against Maidana than Floyd did in the whole 12.

Khan was without a doubt the best fighter on display that night.. he beat a better version of Maidana in more convincing fashion than Floyd did..
it goes without saying now, Khan could be considered the p4p #1 lets just face it and accept the new King of Boxing
Khans a bum and he's never beaten an elite fighter. All he would do is get his ass beat by Floyd. Khan. An beat 2nd tier fighters but he doesn't stand a chance against Floyd.

Yeah Amazing for Floyd fans who get to see another Floyd stoppage. Sit down Khan
Do you do anything else on this forum any more except tongue-punch Floyd's rectum 24/7?
I know Williams can't fight any more but sh1t, find another purpose.
How many times have Dirk and Rome had this argument? You guys aren't bored yet?
We agreed yesterday for the first time. Sh1t was never gonna last :lol1:
