AMIR KHAN says he can become the best fighter on the planet by beating pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather. Khan was at ringside as Mayweather extended his unbeaten run to 45 with a majority points win over Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
And, within minutes of the final bell sounding, Khan signalled his intention to pull out all the stops to meet 36-year-old Mayweather next year.
Khan is due to meet former WBC and IBF light-welterweight Devon Alexander in New York this December with a money-spinner against Mayweather likely in the spring.

If Devon somehow manages to get lucky and upset Khan (yeah right) then bring on the Floyd fight. It will be a true chess match with the entertainment value of Molina-Smith. Bring it on it will be the ultimate slapfest at the pinnacle of the sport :alcoholic
Stupid punk :chairshot
style wise, Khan matches up well with Floyd
problem is, Khan can't take a punch for shit
he could present problems to Floyd based on speed and combinations
but no way Floyd doesn't catch him and spark his ass
Floyd's not a big hitter but he's no featherfist
when he commits to punches he's capable of doing damage
Floyd's too sharp a counterpuncher not to catch Khan at some point
With a granite jaw he looses by wide UD.
Why does Khan think his speed will be the deciding factor when he's shown an inability to deal with fighters slower than Mayweather who can time him. I think this is one of the key problems with Mayweather's opponents they focus so much on understanding Mayweather that they completely over look their own limitations.
Sorry but stop dreaming, no man is invincible, but till someone scores a sunday punch or Floyd gets very old, NO ONE is beating him between 140-154.
you ask me who I'd like to see him matching next?
Honestly, I'd like Garcia or Alexander, Alexander is a quick boxer, who like's to fight the way Floyd fights, chess match, Floyd would win but I'd like to see that.
Garcia would be beaten like Canelo, but............ like to see those wild counters Garcia throws against Floyd.

I'm interested in a Khan - Mayweather fight. It would be entertaining whilst it lasts. Khan has the speed to land some decent shots. You need to speed to land on Mayweather.
It would also leave him open to be countered everytime he let go.
If Danny Garcia can counter you TFO, Mayweather will put on yet another clinic.
If this fight happens, I wouldn't want it to happen in Wembley. That's prime for him to get his first loss. Look how bad C.J Ross had it and it was a school session.
I don't know. I think May KO's him with ease actually.

Money Vs Khan, I don't mind seeing it. Contrary to what many believe, this is more challenging to Floyd than the Alvarez fight and that's because styles make fights.
First of all Khan, No one is faster than Money May. Money's reflex is out of this world, it's downright sick.
But I'm gonna go ahead and say that if this fight pulls through, it will be more of a challenge to Floyd than what Alvarez brought. When you fight Floyd, you don't need power. What good is power without the ability to connect. You need speed to connect. Floyd ain't much of a KO fighter, which is a good thing for Khan's weak chin. In recent memory, I think this is Floyd's fastest opponent since Zab Super Judah. The problem with Khan is that he ain't got no KO power behind that punch of his. That's why I see Floyd beating Khan. The only guy who has speed and that has power at the end of it, is Pac, and I still ain't getting. WTF!
At points during the fight Canelo was countering Floyd jab with his jab and he landed...................who said Canelo wasn't fast? Al bernstein said that there were rounds were dudes were throwing almost the same punches and landin the same, Floyd beat Canelo but Canelo put on a decent performance for a 23 year who challenges an all time great.
Khan can have the speed but he's so flawless, no, he'd be easier than Canelo, Floyd can KO Khan for sure.
Pacquiao? the man who's comming from 2 loses and who got KO'ed by good counter puncher that a Superb counter puncher dominated? SMH..............Lol.
He probably is faster than mayweather. Still doesn't mean he has a shot.
Amir Khan has the top 5 fastest hands in boxing.
He'd be faster than Floyd, but he doesn't have the reflexes, counters, intelligence, power and chin to bother Floyd.
Honestly I don't see anyone from 140 to 154 beating Floyd. Only dudes who could beat him, 1 of them is a bantamweight and the other one is a supermiddleweight, yeah you know who I'm talking about.
Conclusion...... put whoever is available so he can put on a clinic and cash his checks.
I agree with Floyd Sr he should SKIP the Devon Alexander fight and go straight to Mayweather, I have a feeling Alexander will be yet another opponent of Khan's that RUINS his chance at Mayweather
Mayweather would stop Khan though!
Only thing going for Khan is he might cause mayweather some problems for a round or two but thats it. Also it seems like whenever someone talks about a potential mayweather opponent they talk about how that fighter can trouble him and not how they can beat him.
