why would anyone pic berto or ortiz to be the favorite over cotto? Because ortiz beat someone who got a questionable win against collazo?
^^^ thank you...
I think its horrible simply because it clashes with the other ones. Who cares though, its his body I don't get the big deal about him even getting one. I like the full tribal and the one of his pops, though.
what you see on his arm right now is marker that he used to freehand the design onto his skin. None of that is the actual tattoo just yet, so the color of it all may come together. Juan Salgado (the tattoo artist) talks about it on his facebook.
I dont hate him, his style of fights is just not very entertaining for me. I think hes very good and would like to see how he fairs against top 140 guys but his name being on the bill will never make me rush to tune in based on that alone.
i agree with this. Besides that one scare at 147 canelo has showed a good chin and his boxing skill is much higher than angulo and a lot of refs would have stopped that fight in the first round. Kirkland was lucky the ref didnt stop it, then he was able to capitalize on a somewhat punched out Angulo.
I see Canelo catching him with too many clean shots and putting him away in about 5 rounds. still would love to see the fight though
Cotto never had a knee issue but if your talking about Margacheato
then that shows how real weak of a person you really are for even mentioning it afta knowing the circumstances..Freakin PACFARTS...
PRPP :boxing:
he's talking about Solis' knee injury during the Vitali fight
pacquiao and martinez convincingly and hes probably in. throw in one of the younger studs like Canelo, Bradley or even and even more resounding win over Cotto in a rematch and hes sure fire top 10 i'd say
Nah only way I see this getting stopped is corner throwing in the towel, Cotto is very durable. Not to mention this fight is @ 154, Mayweather isn't even a big WW puncher. Cotto almost went the distance with Pac who is very aggressive. Mayweather via a semi competitive decision, Cotto will have his moments.
honest ass response, thats a post i can respect
Cotto felt he won the fight and I don't blame him. I had it 115-113 for Mayweather but it was a close fight with a lot of close rounds.
that was my scorecard too. so i can understand him being frustrated if he thought he did reallly well and the judges only gave him 2 rounds.
Are you serious?
No way Cotto won that fight.
I knew some morons were gonna think he got robbed. Congratulations for proving me right.
he says that cotto "thinks he won the fight" not him.
and on twitter cotto said this.
i'm in the minority who voted Cotto. Even though Margs won that first fight, margs was never the same again. Shane and Manny obviously have legit cases too but i always looked at Margs post Cotto 1 as the same as Chico Corrales post the first fight with Castillo. Even though he won in an awesome fight. he was never quite the same...
I think Trout most likely decisions him however I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo stops him. From what I can remember Cotto looked like he stunned Trout a couple times, especially in the beginning, Canelo's power>>>Cotto's.
This.
It wasnt much but when Cotto was able to apply pressure and land some shots in the first half, Trout didnt like it. Canelo is bigger and more powerful than Cotto at this weight and he might be able to land shots for longer than Cotto was able to, possibly hurting or KOing Trout.
I think its an interesting fight
Stub Hub can be good if you wait until the week of the fight. I got my Cotto/Trout tickets from them and I paid $100 each for $200 seats.
It may not always work out depending on if the show is a real sell out but sometimes it it worth waiting. I'll be doing the same this week for the Hopkins/Pascal fight and even the Donaire/Rigondeaux and Garcia/Judah fights next month.
Floyd by KO in about 6-8 Rounds. Floyd at 135 Was unbelievable defensively and still had REAL power. Broner gets hit too much and probably wouldnt be able to catch Floyd very much
That P Williams KO was crazy too prob rate that better then Hatton.
im the only guy who voted for the Hatton KO so far because i was legit worried about him but i agree, I think Williams getting KO'ed was even crazier
Not really.
New York.
Gene Tunney
Benny Leonard
Jake LaMotta
Rocky Graziano
Barney Ross
Terry McGovern
Mike Tyson
they were all from different parts of the State (tyson Brooklyn, Lamotta-Bronx etc) not the same City.
if that were the case Philly should add Larry Holmes and Harry Greb but we dont cause they are from Pennsylvania not specifially Philadelphia
I think Floyd's is. Morales beat Pac when they were both on top. Pac argubaly didnt beat EM until he had become washed up. I still dont know how people let him get away with those fights.
He fights him coming off of a near shutout by Raheem and gets ton of credit for it like the Raheem fight never happened. Not only that but they actually allow him to fight him a 3rd time after EM is shutout by Raheem and KO by Pac. How is that allowed? He also got KTFO by JMM.
Is everyone just going to erase those facts? That 2nd MAB win wasnt special either. The only great wins out that group was the 1st MAB win and the JMM fights but again, he got KTFO by JMM in the end
he beats Pacquiao but then loses a few months later to Raheem in his first trip to lightweight and he became washed up? if you say so
beating 3 FIRST Ballot hall of famers and Mexican ALL TIME greats on multiple occasions is more impressive than beating 2 borderline hall of famers any day.
These are the kind of fights Cotto takes fighting once every other year?
Cotto has fought at least twice a year every year. except 2010. so what are you saying?
Their last main event was Nick Diaz vs St Perry. I've watched like 3-4 mma fights ever. I did watch former bad boxer KJ Nooons tool on Diaz and stop him on cuts easily. Watched 48 year old Mercer KTFO Sylvia in 9 seconds out of curiousity. I also watched St Perry sit in his car as he was scared to spar at the Wildcard a few years back.Dana White is a former dancing instructor, enough said. :boxing:
you clearly did not because the former boxer Noons got dominated from start to finish in that fight. Mercer did knock out Sylvia but was also dominated by Kimbo slice in mma. its a totally different sport.
Exactly. So, because PAC got a few questionable wins (really, either guy could've won those fights, minus part 3). Does very well leading up to the ko, and now, this is the lasting image we have to have?
I'm a paying customer, and I'd pay to watch it again. **** it. Let's get it on.
i agree here. I understand Manny got dropped and then KO'ed devastatingly but Pac was looking a lot better then he has the last couple years and was really putting a beating on Marquez before the monster KO....I just think it'd be sad to say thats it when Marquez was given chance after chance to redeem himself.
The fight was a war that Manny was slightly winning before that one punch, i'd watch again.
not saying he cheated whatsoever cause he was clearly looking for that shot the entire fight and then add Pacs momentum coming forward and you have a highlight reel knockout But just imagine if Marquez failed a drug test, that would be devastating for our sport.
People should be praying he was clean for our sake. I sure hope he was but having a known cheater on your team will always add that doubt. Pac went through it and now we'll see how people treat Marquez
innocent until proven otherwise, right now, marquez won it fair and square
this.
But i get what thread starter is trying to say I guess. Manny was never caught cheating and after he stopped guys who were KO'ed or Stopped before, he was labeled a roider.
Manny was known for a pretty good chin and Marquez added a known cheater to his camp so the accusations are reasonable but if the tests are clear, then so is the man.
The shot was right on the button and would KO anybody in or around that weight but I get why people would say it isnt fair to criticize manny but not even question Marquez
