I came right out and admitted to being wrong about that. I was wrong, and I said so. I didn't go and say, "OOOH, what I meant to say was..." then changing the subject.
Like you do. Like you did with this very post. You keep proving my points. Someone steps to you, proves you wrong, and you change the subject.
Notice how you refused to acknowledge all the points I was making with that post you quoted, just so you could go back & talk about something else?
That's like your special move when you know you've been proven wrong.
Spoiler alert: What I'm So Sorry meant to say, was something that wasn't so stupid.
Yes, I'm sure reading must make your brain hurt badly.
unneccessarily is not a word, and if it was, that is not how it would be used by someone with a grasp of the English language.
Floyd fans understand boxing and have followed boxing for a long time.
Pacquiao fans only follow one fighter in a sport that has many more to appreciate. If you ask a Pactard to name some fighters the only ones he can name are the ones that Pacquiao has fought....because they only watch Pac fights and calls everything else sh*t
This is a straight up retarded thing to say. You should have continued embarrassing yourself by saying only people from your home state "get" boxing. Shut up. Dumb people make rash generalizations of large groups of people they don't know because they are stupid enough to think they know what they're talking about, when they don't.
Pacquiao's my fvaorite fighter because he puts his ass on the line and he fights. He's exciting. He's been my favorite for close to a decade and I'm not a fairweather fan who doesn't know about boxing besides one fighter. You're a moron to assume I, or millions of others, don't know about boxing. I've seen hundreds upon hundreds of really dump people post about Pacquiao AND Mayweather, but, since you like Mayweather you just made yourself like dumb by saying ALL Mayweather fans understand boxing and NONE of Pacquaio's do. I was a boxing fan before I knew who Pacquaio was. My favorite fighters of the last decade have been Manny, Hopkins, Mosley, Gatti & Kostya Tszyu, so don't tell me I'm some ignorant idiot who only likes Manny Pacquiao. Guess what? Floyd jumped up and down cheering like a boxing fan watching Manny KO Morales. So, even your boy liked him.
Keep generalizing large groups of people you don't know, dumb ass. I think Floyd acts like a fool in public, but is talented as hell in the ring. I don't like him as a man, respect him as a fighter. Pacquaio's been my favorite since late 2003. I've said for years that despite Manny being my favorite, I'd have to favor Floyd in that fight. I'd cheer for Manny, but wouldn't be on him.
I'm a Pacquaio fan. Keep generalizing, dumb ass.
I'm seriously considering writing Naz Richardson and asking him to allow me to humble myself by proving my boxing fandom, and willingness to do whatever he asks me to try and learn from his wisdom. Manny Pacquaio is my favorite fighter. I must know nothing about boxing. Keep generalizing, dumb ass. Guess what? Naz is a big fan of Pacquiao. He knows nothing about boxing.
Marvin Hagler's a big fan of Pacquiao.
Keep generalizing, dumb ass.
I'm not a stain, I'm a boxing fan. I didn't bring naything up. You, desperately grasping for straws threw Lampley's name out there and said, he, the almight, claimed Pacquaio's fans are irrational. I backed that up with additional facts, like someone who knows what he's talking about.
Lampley is irrational. You using him as some source to back up your point does not work. I'm not talking about right or wrong. Not talking about the law, I'm talking about being rational. It was your point, thought you might be able to stick to it.
Guess not. Since you are incapable of debate I'm sure you'll call me a stain or something, then back out of the door.
If that's a word, than I was wrong.
Back to topic, you said Floyd fans understand boxing, Pacquiao fans don't.
Then you corrected yourself about Pacquiao fans. Now, I've seen some asinine things posted by Floyd fans. Asinine means stupid. Not all Floyd fans understand boxing.
I went to see Mayweather vs Ortiz in the movie theater, and it was a total Mayweather crowd. I don't know if Ortiz has no fans, but they weren't in that theater in Savannah, GA. Some of those people knew boxing and loved Floyd, but a lot of those people said the dumbest **** imaginable during the fights before the main event. Every fighter has stupid fans, just because Floyd's your boy and you like him than Manny, doesn't mean you can tune out the stupid Floyd fans. Like I said, Manny's my favorite fighter but some of his fans are dumb. Just like Floyd.
Too many words for I'm So Sorry, this post is for the the posters in the thread who are willing to read on a forum.
Too many words for me or too little for yourself?
I'm not the one claiming that certain words aren't even real words, when in fact they are.
There are dumb fans of both no doubt, but the ones who stand out more are the ones that come in bigger numbers. Remember, there's a reason why Pacquiao's fan base is considered one of the worst fan bases in the history of boxing. Even Jim Lampley said that Pacquiao's fans are irrational.
JIM LAMPLEY said that Pacquiao fans are irrational? The same Jim Lampley that broke down in tears and cried like a woman after Margarito beat up Cotto? Millions of people watched him WEEP, on air, after watching his favorite fighter get KO'd.
Lampley has also been arrested for domestic abuse, had a restraining order filed against him, then arrested for violating said restraining order. He is in no way, an authority on being rational.
On the real.
Never said anything about Pactards. You said all Pacquiao fans are stupid, and Floyd fans know about boxing. That was a blanketed statement made by someone who does not know what they are talking about. You keep coming back later, over and over again, saying "what I MEANT to say was...." well, learn to speak in a coherent manner. Say the things you mean to say, so people will know what the hell you're talking about. Stop changing the subject when someone checkmates you, like a woman.
There are dumb Pacquaio fans. You want to say there aren't dumb Floyd fans? Some would call you a Flo-mo, but that's a dumb insult. You're just someone refusing to look at the other side of the coin on fear of it making you reconsider you views.
I straight up said I'd favor Floyd in a fight against Pacquiao, despite Pacquaio being my favorite fighter, and you called me a Pacquiao Stain. How, even in a retarded person's mindset, does that make ANY sense?
Does that make sense to anyone reading this?
De Leon gave Broner hell & could have easily walked away with a draw, but Broner has really been impressing & improving since that fight. I think he'd win a rematch in a close to dominant fashion.
they only sayin 14 now cause they know it's no longer available nor is 50/50 and that is why they will take it. people can say what they want but personally i hope Floyd sticks to what he said fight or no fight.
You fools are more fans of negotiation than you are boxing. Dumb ****s cheering negotiation tactics as if they were punches. Do you idiots masturbate to pictures of cash, pictures of Floyd, or pictures of Floyd holding cash?
When did it become more about who makes more $ than it is about the actual sport of boxing? And more importantly, WHY did it become so important to Floyd fans? Unless you are getting a cut of that cash it shouldn't make a bit of difference. I could see why Floyd and his accountant would care, but Floyd's fans? What the ****?
Retards actually hoping the fight won't come off unless your masturbatory fantasy makes more money than his opponent is some psycho, stalker type shit.
Great news on the attendance. Boxing will always have a place in Vegas, but anything that can be done to get it to the people and in major venues across the country and the world is good for the sport of boxing. Boxing cannot hope to be a mainstream sport if it runs exclusively out of Vegas for the major fights.
I've heard Top Rank is working on putting on a show at the new Meadowlands Arena in spring. Hopefully we see more and more of this in the coming years.
they only sayin 14 now cause they know it's no longer available nor is 50/50 and that is why they will take it. people can say what they want but personally i hope Floyd sticks to what he said fight or no fight.
ha, so let me get this right. when floyd tried to make the fight and offered 14 days, which pac turned down, pac was trying to make the fight.
those who agree floyd should get the lions gate share and no cutoff dates, dont want the fight to happen?
haha, sure guy.
floyds calling the shots and pac has no choice but to accept. floyd is a chess player and owning arum/team pac(the checker players)
Learn to read, it makes discussion online much, much easier.
This is what my post was in response to. Re-read it, then re-read what I wrote, and then take a minute for the reading comprehension to kick in. If nothing happens after a minute or two then guess what: you're retarded. Have fun with that.
We're discussing money in a boxing forum.
**** - any moderator read this shit? Let's open up a "Mayweather Fan Accounting Forum" - flood the bullshit out.
**** ever happened to just shutting up LET THEM handle the contracts despite whoever earned whatever? **** man, their money has shit to do with you peasant ass people.
AMEN. It used to be most boxing fans cared about what happened inside the ring, now Floyd fans just jack off to pictures of cash and financial statements.
So, in your words, he's like a little girl crying at a friends party because everyone is paying attention to the birthday girl. That's not even borderline, that's all the way pathetic.
Twist what? There's nothing to get twisted, there are facts and then there is retardation. 147 lbs is a legit weight class, not a catch-weight. Nobody "forced" poor Oscar to come down to 147 pounds, it was Oscar's idea you dumb bastard. Know how you can tell it was Oscar's idea? Because there are simple and plain facts that back it up. You ignored them or were too dumb to absorb them, pick your poison.
Oscar lost to Floyd at 154. His idea for 2008 was to build up him challenging Floyd for Floyd's welterweight title in September of 2008. He then signed on to fight Steve Forbes at 150, which for the non-retards out there, is a legit catch-weight. This was in preparation of Oscar getting himself back down to 147 en route (that means "on the way to," for the retards out there) to his challenge against Floyd that September. Again, this was Oscar's idea, nobody forced him to do shit.
He beats Forbes and Floyd retires, leaving Oscar without a big name opponent for his year-end fight. GBP offered the fight to Pacquiao at 147, and the fight was made. All of these details obviously flew over your head because, again, your brain is obviously tiny or malfunctioned to a severe degree. That's alright, there's nothing really "wrong" without being as dumb as you are, but could you please do so in a quiet manner? Grown up's are trying to talk about boxing.
Zab is holding himself in the same tier as Pacquiao which is why he feels the way he does. He's not even close.
Exactly. The guy who refuses to dig deep in fight criticizing the guy who does, rich as a triple thick shake. Seriously, every time Zab has been faced with adversity in the ring he's crumbled. Dude has plenty of skills but zero intestinal fortitude. If he wants to criticize a talented person's fights he should go back and rewatch his professional career.
He also said he was going to KO Baldomir.
And Judah..
and Oscar...
before fighting J.M. Marquez.
"I can't let this guy go the distance with me."
Then the fight happens and people realize the guy who talks before he fights and the guy who get's in the ring and actually fights, are complete contradictions of each other. I've said many times that I think Floyd is a supremely skilled boxer, I know he has the goods and he should be the favorite in any fight below 154.
I can also understand the Hip Hop community enjoying hearing Floyd get all up in the camera and go "Oscar, I'm going to knock you the **** out." Those people hear that and think Floyd is gangster or hip hop or whatever they think, so they pay to see him knock Oscar or Marquez or Judah or Baldomir out. Then he proceeds to not only not knock them out, but never even try. Evan against Marquez who straight up proved he couldn't hurt Floyd, he wouldn't even try to KO him. There's nothing wrong with not being able to KO a fighter, some guys just aren't going to go. But selling a fight by telling people you're going to knock someone the **** out, then not even attempting to do so has turned some people off.
I think he's talented as hell but I'd never pay to watch him box. I know a bunch of people will think he's accomplished his goal by making me dislike him enough to want to see him lose, but that's proven false by by refusal to support his fights by paying for them.
Thanks for the warning! I'm usually on the forums a few minutes before the fights to see what everyone has to say, and I'm sure after a pint *or two) i would have forgotten about Froch vs Kessler being on tape delay. Thanks again, I'll keep out until after the fights this time. LOVING the fact that Froch vs Kessler is scheduled for 9 - 10:30 and Arreola vs Adamek and Anguelo vs Julio isn't slated to begin until 11:00. Should be a good night of boxing.
Floyd criticizing Manny for fighting guys out of their comfort zone weight class wise, then immediately giving himself props for "beating Marquez the right way" is hilariously mind blowing hypocrisy. Floyd is legitimately too stupid to even realize it, which makes it even more funny.
I am not a Floyd fan, but dude is an incredible boxer. Manny's my favorite fighter ever, easily, but I would still have to make Floyd a favorite if they ever do fight. The problem is Floyd isn't nearly as certain he wins that fight as his fans are. I was talking to the one friend I have that follows boxing, and I told him that I honestly don't think Floyd fears Manny, nor do I think Floyd feels he can't beat Manny. It's just that Floyd knows Manny is the one guy he can't half-ass his way into beating right now. He's the one guy that would actually require Floyd to put himself through hell in training camp to prepare to fight. And I don't think at this point in his career, this point in his life, Floyd wants to put himself through hell anymore.
Fighters like Duran and Leonard would also be smart enough to not go on record as saying they feel a guy 8 lbs heavier (Bute, Ward) are "too big" for him, then go on the record talking about how they KO a guy 20 lb's lighter, like Pacquiao.
I like Martinez but that made him look like the hypocrite of the year. He went on record as saying he won't fight any of the Super Middle's because he'd be giving up too much, then goes and challenges both Manny AND Floyd. He's a lot bigger than Manny, but he's bigger than Floyd, too. Breadman on ********** said it best, Martinez chose to add that bulk he now doesn't think he can cut to get back down to 154, but now he's stranded at 160 without any $ fights.
But yeah, long story short, if Martinez feels justified in saying Bute & Ward are "too big" for him, than Manny is "too small" for him. It goes both ways.
It's obnoxious as hell to see him make absolutely certain he and his sons are perfectly framed in the post fight HBO interviews. They damn near push the winning fighters out the frame to make sure they get their camera time. Nobody but them and their family gives a **** about them so they need to do their job and get out of the damn way.
i remember that article...it's be cool if you can get a link for it
I'm looking for it now. It's been a few months since i read it, before Khan vs Malignaggi fight was signed, I believe. But it was pretty common knowledge amongst boxing website readers. Glad someone chimed in and remembered it before people started jumping down my throat pretending I made this up. As you should be able to tell from my original post, I have nothing against Khan and don't think he's hiding from a challenge. I have no desire to slander the guy, I'm more disgusted with the bullshit HBO is pulling. GBP is a promoter and it's their job to guard their investment, but HBO shouldn't be involving themselves like this.
sergio, go call out the participants in the super 6.
calling out fighters who started in divisions south of lightweight doesn't make you a bad man.
it just makes you a gold digger.
Seriously, I'm a fan of Sergio Martinez, but if he's justified in not thinking he's big enough to justify fighting at 168, than he can't justifiably say Pac is ducking him. Pacquiao would be at a bigger size disparity against Martinez than Martinez would be fighting Bute, Ward or Dirrel.
OK, now I know what Roger Mayweather is on, and I'm about to reveal it. Roger Mayweather is currently using two different cycles to keep himself mentally and physically fit and sharp. It's called the "smoke an ounce of crack a day, choke two women a day, while never EVER going to see a dentist, no matter what day it is plan." It seems to be working wonders for him. No joke, dude is legit in the running for most ****ed up set of teeth on planet Earth. That contest is not limited to only humans, any living animal with a ****ed up set of teeth is eligible. It's down to Roger and a retarded donkey at this point, but insider sources say Roger has it in the bag.
Hey, Roger, quit smoking crack, quit choking out women, quit talking this retarded shit and go see a ****ing dentist you broke off piece of garbage!
