TS is the daftest idiot fangirl on this entire board.
You wanna downplay Donaire's 2012 opposition? Two can play at that game.
Robert Marroquin = not even ranked in the top 10 at 122; hasn't even fought nor beaten anyone of note
Teon Kennedy = hasn't won a fight in over two years. 0-1-1 when he fought rigondeaux
Rico Ramos = lost his most recent fight against Ronny Rios. Yes, the world-renowned ATG Ronny Rios.
These guys at the stage of their careers when Donaire fought them are seriously no better than Corboda, Marroquinn and Ramos would likely beat most of them.
Rico Ramos couldn't even beat an unknown cat in Ronny Rios in his last fight. Marroquin lost to a freakin journeyman in Francisco Leal, who's record at the time was 14-5.
These are the guys you expect to walk through a proven fighter and lineal champ in Nishioka? Hell, even Mathebula's been matched tougher than Ramos and Marroquin
So please, TS, use your infinite boxing wisdom to grace us with your analysis of why Robert Marroquin and Rico Ramos would walk through Donaire's list of opposition. I'd like to hear it.
Cuz really, all I see is a bunch of talking outta your a$$ and fanboy hopes and dreams. It's pathetic that rigotards have to hype up Robert Marroquin(as if he's accomplished anything right now) to try and discredit Donaire's vastly superior resume.
And to the TS I direct to you a quote from a true boxing aficianado:
You don't know sh!t about boxing.
What was that arce? Tyson is gonna start off the sweep of Philippines vs. Mexico?
STFU! All bow down to the flyweight king Brian viloria, first man to unify the flyweight titles in the modern era.

Is this a "balance issue" too? LOL. And that was from a pitty pat left hook.
Look at his right foot, balance shot.
Riiigghht, then why did he start to backpedal and run after that round?
I'll tell you...because that jab got him shook.
There is more than one way to throw a left hook! When will know-it-alls that try saying others haven't boxed learn that?
I can't argue that was a good left hook in terms of being effective but it was far from textbook.
Please enlighten me then on what is a "textbook" left hook.
Since you thought Marroquin's hook that staggered Rigondeaux was textbook, well then I'm in for a good laugh :cool2:
Marroquinn is big and has a lot of power, he has took many guys clean out with that same shot. He got caught showboating and returned fire with a left uppercut to the body before tying his man up. He then proceeded to win every round, drop him twice and win an easy UD.
A pitty pat left hook? GTFO! That was a perfectly timed counter, a great punch from a guy with a very potent left hook.
I could upload many vids of Donaire getting tagged by much lesser guys than Marroquinn but its nitpicking.
C'mon, that wasn't a big left hook at all. That was more of an arm punch than anything, Marroquin didn't even pivot or put his body into it.
If that type of left hook can stagger Rigondeaux, one can reasonably inference that one of the best left hooks in the business (Donaire's) landing on Rigondeaux will obliterate him.
It was textbook and not an arm punch at all. If he pivoted or loaded up it would of had even lesser effect or missed as Rigondeaux would of seen it coming and took a lot off it.
If, if, if, if he can land it.
IF Tua landed his left hook flush on Lennox it may of been a different fight.
Ok, I take it you've never boxed before. And you have an agenda. That's ok.
There was nothing textbook about Marroquin's hook at all, although if Marroquin had pivoted and put more body into it, he woulda damn well knocked Rigondeaux out.
You want to see a textbook left hook? Look no further than, you guessed it, Nonito Donaire:
Doesn't swing the punch, doesn't c0ck his shoulder back to fire it, makes it a short hook with a clean arc, knees bent and feet planted firmly, pivots and puts his body into the punch, then follows through.
Perfect. Counter. Left. Hook. If you can't see the difference between Donaire's and Marroquin's left hooks that I've posted, then you really have Rigondeaux's testicles for eyeballs.
That's something I've never been quite able to explain to myself. The jab really didn't appear to hurt Rigo, not visibly. Yet, he got on his bike for the rest of the fight. It's logical to assume the jab affected Guillermo, but it just didn't look like much. Rigo ate a couple of solid hooks from Marroquin and reacted differently.
I'm thinking it was psychological more than anything. Apparently that was the first time Rigondeaux's ever been knocked down. Maybe a once bitten, twice shy sorta thing in that fight.
Pick on small fighters? Damn, your hate for Nonito is quite something.
Concepcion was physically bigger on fight night against Donaire, smh.
Also, if he can make the weight then there is no problem with that.
This is correct. Concepcion weighed 4 lbs. over the 115 limit and didn't even try to cut the weight. Donaire boiled himself down to the 115 limit.
On fight night, Concepcion was damn near a lightweight. He didn't have to punish his body to lose weight and he rehydrated pretty high.
There was also the fact that since Concepcion weighed so much over the limit, bigger gloves were supposed to be used, 10 oz. instead of the regular 8 oz. I believe. Concepcion refused to use the 10 oz. gloves and threatened to withdraw from the fight completely if they changed glove sizes.
Nonito didn't want to disappoint the fans, so Nonito went on with the fight anyway like a true warrior, even with this classless b!tch Concepcion trying to get every unfair advantage he could. And still Donaire beat him pretty handily.
Props to Nonito for showing Rigondeaux who the muh****in boss is and calling this coward out for going back on his word regarding drug testing. It's one thing if Rigondeaux never VOLUNTEERED for drug testing during the negotiations, but he did and now wants to hem and haw on it. B1tch move in my opinion.
Donaire already exerting his control over Rigondeaux during the negotiations, and it'll be the same in the ring too.
lol at philipinos and their groupie nonsense... how's that an excuse when he's signing the agreement?
Gtfoh. Rigotards are proving Cubans to be the biggest fangirls in boxing.
Joan Guzman is garbage.
This fatass punked out against nate campbell, got a frickin gift draw in the first ali funeka fight which he clearly lost, came in 9 lbs. overweight in the rematch, has zero fanbase other than a few nuthugging dominicans, zero drawing power, and hasn't beaten or fought anyone of note in like the past 5 years.
GTFOH with that weak pic.
Guillermo rigondeaux, hands down.
Overhyped by very vocal nuthuggers with very little to show for it. And spare me his whole amateur background record, this is the pros now.
Ringodeaux did 500k viewers when he fought Rico Ramos on shobox in a Friday night fight..
Source? I call bullshyt on this.
Ward-Froch topped out at 580,000 viewers, and the Super Six was highly publicized.
It was also a major gain for Ward from his previous fight, in which he decisioned Carl Froch on Dec. 17 in Atlantic City to win the Super Six World Boxing Classic title. According to Nielsen figures, the Ward-Froch fight on Showtime peaked at 580,000 viewers.

No way in hell an unknown scrub from cuba fighting a weak, unknown champion like ramos does near the ratings of ward-froch, especially when rigondeax-ramos only sold a pathetic 325 tickets :lol1:
Guillermo Rigondeaux has generated a good bit of buzz since his easy win last Friday over Rico Ramos at the Palms in Las Vegas, but nobody was interested enough beforehand to actually attend the fight.
Figures for the show were bleak, as the fight sold a meager 375 tickets, with a gate of $14,525 total. Thank heavens for site fees and TV packaging this time.

He's 32 years old with probably a lot of wear on his body. He's never gonna be a star because of his size, style, age, and lack of a fanbase so what exactly is the hold up?
If rigonho is never gonna be a star because of all the factors u pointed out, then what's the point of top rank even promoting him? That's a horrible investment and waste of time from a promoters point of view. So there must be something brewing in the future if top rank just signed this guy to an extension, which rigo himself agreed to.
I don't see a problem with rigo getting some name fighters under his belt as well as more exposure before he fights donaire; that would make it a much bigger fight.
But right now it looks like he's trying to demand a fight and a big payday from the top dog while having absolutely no leverage, which is stupid.
because he has 11 fights!!!
has the thought occurred to you that maybe arum wants to build up rigondeaux into a future star?
There's a reason why floyd became a star under arum. There's a reason why oscar became a star under arum. There's a reason why cotto became a star under arum. There's a reason why Pacquiao became a star under arum.
TOP RANK KNOWS WTF ITS DOING.
There's a reason why GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS HAS YET TO PRODUCE A YOUNG PROSPECT INTO A ALL STAR BOXER.
Top Rank knows how to develop guys from beginner to star boxer.
There's a reason why their match maker bruce trampler is going to the hall of fame.
THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
Rigo as 11 fights. The mainstream doesnt know who he is. Yes, the mainstream dont know who mathebula or Vasquez jr is but they are not being groomed to be a future star. Rigo has great potential. Why ruin that potential by putting him in with the wolves when he only has 11 fights?
There's a reason why hardcore fans are hardcore fans. Not boxing promoters who have to think of business consequences and future planning of a fighter.
They know how to properly build a fighter. You dont.
Co-sign.
Why the hell would Arum let Donaire end Rigo's career after only 11 fights? Rigo has proved NOTHING in terms of being able to handle a fighter of donaire's caliber in the pros, WITHOUT headgear and pillow gloves. Rigo would be thrown to the wolves indeed, and Arum loses his investment.
These emotional rigotards obviously understand nothing about the business side of boxing.
Good God these cuban rigondeaux nuthuggers are sad. Nonito TKOs a respected fighter like nishioka and the first thing these huggers do is menstruate on a boxing message board to convince themselves Donaire isn't a good fighter.
LOL
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say mares wins a very controversial decision victory, possibly a robbery. After the agbeko low-blow fiasco, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a little extra 'help' from the officials.
Donaire's win over Nishioka >>> rigonho's wins over Teon Kennedy, Rico Ramos, and Roberto Marroquin combined
Mares win or Moreno win >>> better than any win rigonho has in the division
After the outcome of mares/moreno, rigondeaux will be relegated to the bottom of the 122 lb. totem pole
IMO, the best action fight is Donaire/Mares. Rigondeaux WILL fight scared once he tastes nonito's power and proceed to run all night, just like he did after cordoba dropped him with a jab.
haha they dont want to put their money where their mouth is, sh... i dont blame them
So this video is a Cuban guy talking about how his hero is better than Donaire...yup, no nationalistic bias there! What a bunch of bullcrap
Now how about something a little more substantial...
The guy that's supposed to be a defensive "wizard" with superhuman skillz and lightning reflexes gets knocked down by a jab :pat:. True defensive wizards like Mayweather and Hopkins don't get knocked down by jabs, nor get wobbled by B level competition like Marroquin.
In the video you'll also see what will happen in a Donaire fight. In the beginning Rigondeaux is the aggressor, going after Cordoba and pushing the pace. After he gets touched up by the jab, he loses heart and reverts to his ingrained amateur style...run and rack up the "points".
I believe the same thing will happen with Donaire. Once Rigondeaux tastes Nonito's power he'll chicken out and go amateur...which will do him no good. He'll pull a Narvaez while Nonito, the bigger, stronger, more powerful puncher, puts pressure on him. And in that situation, I can't see the judges giving the backpedaling, non-aggressive, B-side fighter the fight.
