Ducking is a detriment to the sport of boxing and only aids it's demise. Fighting people (win or lose) does not. I respect resumes, nothing else matters to me when it comes to respecting fighters. As far as who I like, it's a combination of who they beat and how they fight. Style, resume. That's it. Everybody is different, if you like both GGG and Ward, great. It's not against the rules of boxing to like two rivals with two completely different styles and resumes. Just like it's not against the rules to dislike one fighter and like the other one. Another thing is when a fighter is hyped up by a large group/consensus in the boxing community, is it warranted? Who did they beat? I look for that. For example the current P4P list excuse for some fighters there is "the eye test", "Do they look good" regardless of their resume. I don't agree with that, so i'm gonna argue against a lot of fighters being there without having to prove it. I don't like free passes cause you got some KO's against low class contenders. I hope for as much as you respect a fighters resume, you disrespect fighters ducking more so. I'm not talking about avoiding fighters, but clearly ducking; ie madatory challengers. If a fighter clearly ducks, he is not allowing the other fighter to have a chance to beat him, which is a detriment to the sport. The boxing community can only go on the eye test, and you don't respect that, thus the cycle continues.
