Why Is Pac Getting A Free Pass?

When a aged vet has more than paid his dues, I have no issue with someone reaping the rewards of that hard work. It happens so rarely in boxing. Manny can do whatever, how he is considered in the current landscape should be measured against that (although it is not like he doesn't have some decent recent wins) but to me if he doesn't want to partake in keeping the next round of guys down or giving them a chance to shine against him that is his call. No big deal he earned the right to make that choice.

Don't care about what Poochiao and Froid do with the last breath of their careers. I'd rather focus on young prime ones. Da future mate. Crawford just fought Molina and Diaz. Aaaargh...

Didn't we crucify Floyd for fighting Berto? And rightfully so, but choosing Jeff Horn makes the Berto fight look like FOTY material. Why isn't Manny fighting Porter, or Garcia, or asking Bud to move up. Matthysse is ranked in the WBO, why not Lucas? This is nuts, but I hope Pac gets a decent payday anyway. If you are one of those folks who criticize other fighters for taking easy fights, you should be panning the Horn fight. There's a ton of people b@tching about this fight and Mattysse would not take a Pacquiao fight right now. Manny should get a pass though because he's an ATG legend who fought everyone in his era. Both Pacquaio and Mayweather should get a free pass with Horn and McGregor. Berto was actually a decent opponent with a pulse. Put the Berto fight 5 years ago and no one blinks. Horn is no one, he has zero chance. But so what, it's not like Pacquaio hasn't fought a ton of top guys. Manny is pushing 40, he deserves to pick who he wants. And Mayweather fighting McGregor is a joke, but the fight will earn him a couple hundred $million. Mayweather has fought 25+ champs or former champs, he's proven everything he needed to in order to be considered an all time great. If he wants to fight a side show for his last fight who cares. I can't hide from the fact as a fan. Even the Rios/Algieri/Vargas fights were seen in poor light...but this, man this Horn thing is on another level. As a fan who would like to see the guy fight as much as I can, because when his career is finally over it's over -- it pains me to say that I'd rather him have retired at the end of Bradley 3 like he said he was, or sh*t, the Vargas fight...than see him fight a guy that just about everybody in the boxing world is laughing at.

Pac isn't getting a free pass for this fight. Nobody in this part of the world is excited about it, and if its on ppv nobody is going to watch. Pac and Cotto are both getting the "retire already please" treatment from boxing fans.

They don't want him to go out like Roy Jones and I completely get that as well. They want him to go out with a win so they can celebrate it. I don't really want PAC. to fight spence as I think floyd should Unretire and fight some of these special talents. If PAC lost to spence flood fans would say floods never lost, pac got another loss.
