This thread is dumb..
A silver back gorilla would tear mikes arms off and beat him with it. One slap would rip his face off. We talking bout a gorilla, an animal that walks around on all fours day in and day out. Tyson wouldnt even have a chance......
What does getting knocked down mean? How can you discredit somebody for getting knocked down in the professional ring, especially with a style like Manny's.
Oh, and from what I can remember, didn't Zab drop Floyd too? Yeah, that's what I thought.
Zab didnt knock Floyd down. He never lost to castillo etc. Stop adding stuff to Floyds record. IF it aint on paper it never happened, its a FISHING STORY. But like you said KD mean nothing when you win the fight. Manny actually lost to Erick, not only did he lose. Erick was coming off to brutal fights with barrera. Manny caught those two after they practically destoryed each other..
Like him or not we all know he is super ****y,
always flaunting his money,cars,diamonds and
always telling the world 50 is his best friend...
but jail is another world most of the inmates don't
give two fu*ks who you are...
I'll be cool to have a reality show of his time in jailto see of he is really who he paints himself to be
I would give him mad props if he goes in there
and takes over but I doubt it...
I know he won't be doing no chocking up on there...

Comments?
Is he going to prison or jail? There is a BIG difference in the two. Jail is like timeout until you get sent to the BIG house. Even then, what jail or prision is he going to? That also makes a difference. Not only that, because he is a fighter, he might not even be with the population because of people with your same attitude. The judge & officers aren't stupid, they know people will try them so he may be seperated....Who knows, its not everyday inmates get to see a celeb, let alone the greatest of our era....Inmates may kill each other for a chance to take a pic or shake his hand....
I personally believe he will be seperated from population, able to traing and workout & will be out in no time...
Cotto has the advantage on the inside, Floyds advantage will come boxing from the outside.
I will watch but I am not buying this fight. I like Cotto, but he is past his best and this fight should have happened years ago when the hype and the demand was at its highest, and Floyd conveniantly retired.
GTFOH...cotto will get ate up on the inside..
4corners you are being a floyd fanatic again by talking about how much credit Pac or Floyd should be getting for common opponents. Of course you want Floyd to get more credit for every win, being the floyd fan you are.
But is that zero stopping Floyd from reaching his full potential, why do u keep drifting off topic? He could beat Sergio at 154 perhaps. Hed get more credit for beating Sergio at 160. Will the fear of losing the zero stop him from 160?
So manny lost his "0" at the begining of his career to a bunch of nobodies....was that his full potential? Just curious....
@The start of the 1:16 mark til the end of the video floyd let's off some nice sharp combo shot's
http://youtu.be/COy5GdT5ufA
Anytime the camera is on floyd he's only gonna go about 50%...
Floyd is going to press the attack on cotto from the first sound of the bell. Floyd will meet cotto in the center of the ring and do work, pushing cotto back. ONce he gets cotto to start walking back, its over with. Floyd will fight most of this fight on the inside, smoothering cotto working his body, with crisp shots to the head...he stops cotto in the later rounds....maybe 7-9 stoppage
Floyd could move up to a weight and fight someone like Sergio at 160 or Ward even who hes not suppposed to beat, and if he loses it wont harm him as hes supposed to lose. But does the zero mean so much to him, he dont want to lose under any circumstances?
If the later, it means there are people he could potentially beat, but he wont risk it as it might mean he loses the zero. He could beat Sergio at 160 and Ward for all we know. If he dont try he wont be reaching his fullest potential.
Will Floyd ever reach his full potential??? What fighter TODAY is beyond floyd's potential to reach?
People act like Floyd has fought 42 opponents whom no one else has ever fought, whom no one knows, whom never was champ etc....how can he land these big money fights fighting nobody???? i dont understand the logic...
Just in case you guys didn't see the link or are just purposely ignoring it since the thread backfired...
http://www.boxingscene.com/mayweather-jr-if-martinez-make-150-we-fight--48685
The article says "FLoyd was advised that martinez would come down to 150 to fight him". He (Floyd) repeated what was said..."If he can come down to 150, yeah"...next question...
Oh did everyone miss the part about floyd saying he wasn't thinking bout any other fighter but Manny Pussiao??? Or did we ignore that and focus on martinez?
I think the rashes from shaving comes from blacks having much thicker hair. As a result we have bigger roots and pores which might take more damage from a razor. As for the scar tissue, I'm not sure.
What happens is....Black peoples hair is tightly curled vs most whites who have straight hair (not saying there isn't blacks with straight hair & whites with naps). But when blacks shave the hair that grows back curls and grows into the skin where as whites hair grows straight out. Blacks have to use a hot towel to soften the hair and a sharp razor...Me on the other hand i'm very light skinned like chris brown or winky wright. My hair texture is a little bit more finer but i still avoid using a razor (never have). I use t-liners to shave...its cuts the hair off but not at the root. Means i have to shave more often then people, but hey...theres no bumps...
FLoyd like any other fighter started off undefeated. He worked hard & fought the best and beat the best this sport has to offer. No floyd didn't fight every single body there was to fight, just like any other fighter. Some fighters lose at the beginning of their careers, some lose towards the end, some retire undefeated....FLoyd is special and I wish nothing but the best for him & hopes he remains undefeated because of his hard work ethic...he doesnt take short cuts in the gym, he trains hard, he gets tested and he wins...all u can do is tip your hat to him..
I honestly think this PPV will do pretty will only due to that fact that you have of course Floyd haters and fans buying this fight, Cotto Fans buying, and the undercard with El Cinnibon bon Alvarez which will bring in a huge amount of Mexican fans especially being that it is on Cinco Di Mayo..
So Floyd cant really get all the credit for the PPV outcome..
Be real...you wouldn't order the fight unless floyd vs cotto wasnt taking place. All that other stuff is extra & build up leading to the fight...
Red head vs mosley wouldnt sell anything, nor would it be ppv...so all credit is to floyd!
He motioned them together but he never "said box" and he called for a clock stoppage and never call for time in. You can't hit someone until the ref call time in first, it doesn't matter if they "said box", which he didn't so your whole point is moot
I have to call B.S...with all the noise he clearly motioned them to fight, so even a death man would understand its fight time. And for those who claim they didn't hear which everyone with working ears knows you heard it...the ref said lets go...I don't care if the ref was looking at the ceiling or his own shoes...when he motions and says lets go...it's lets go no if ands buts about it....
And if you want to get technical about it, Ortiz should've been D.Q from the jump, saving Floyd the heart ach of all the bias fans who like to spin *****...
Martinez is the middleweight champion of the world, and he brings nothing to the table? PPV wise, I agree he isn't a huge name, but in the boxing world, everyone knows thats a serious fight... and plus, Mayweather's a big enough name to draw interest, and a 24/7 would probably boost interest more...
Middle Weight vs Welter Weight...a total DREAM FIGHT
FLoyd fights Martinez at any weight other then Middle weight, he wont get any credit for the victory. Martinez will be weight drained and everyone begging for the fight will complain that it ever took place. Lets save the heartache and hate that will be piled up on floyd for facing a drained middle weight & set up Martinez vs Ward or Kirkland. Hell even Red head could fight Martinez..
why dedicate a thread for them??? let the haters do they job and hate
Idk, just reading all their why wont he fight this guy or that guy post is killing me. They never ask why their P4P king isn't fighting none of the guys they are listing.
So fans can't ask fighters to face the next guy in line or the best guy available?
Do we all have to shut up and keep Floyd's dick in our mouth like you do?
None of those fighters I named are next in line to fight Floyd. And you guys aren't fans because you hop from fighter to fighter in hopes to find someone that can beat floyd.
I agree, there is a big weight different. However, Mayweather himself has spoken about the fight in the past, and it is an interesting match-up.
The weight would be a problem, Martinez fought most of his career at 154, but after being at 160 for a while I do worry that fighting lower may effect him slightly. It's an interesting fight though.
I don't see why you're getting so upset about people wanting Mayweather to fight the biggest challenges out there.
FLoyd spoke on the fight because he probably felt obligated to do so. There's only one fight out there for Floyd and thats the Pacquiao fight. If that fight happens this fall then that would be great. If not, I feel that Floyd should hang his gloves up because he's done everything in the sport that could be done. Martinez isn't a great fight for Floyd other then the fact that he's a middle weight. That fighting isn't a career defining fight so he really shouldn't worry bout that fight.
well he had a nice layoff to allow his fists to heal so why not fight a bit now? You got a problem with seeing him fight some decent fighters or do you want him to fight some roadsweepers and postmen.
I'm trying to see other match ups like Alveraz vs Kirkland, Ortiz vs Khan, Or Berto vs Khan, Bradley vs Berto, Berto vs Khan, Martinez vs Ward etc. There's other fights to be made. Thats my point, every opponent doesn't have to fight floyd mayweather. it takes 6 months to build a solid PPV event and those fighters dont bring nothing major to the table because they haven't fought the best...its simple
No actually Ive wanted him to fight Pacquaio or Sergio because they are the best fights to be made.
You apparently dont want to see Mayweather fight? Did the blood scare you? Don't want him to ruin his looks?
Been watching Floyd for a while now & he's had a bloody nose before, he's been caught with good shots before. The only thing new that I saw last night was Floyd will to fight another mans fight and look good doing it.
Mayweather vs anyone is a good fight to be made so what does that mean? Be realistic please. FLoyd vs Pac is realistic....Floyd vs Martinez or Pac vs Martinez is not realistic.....Thats a stupid fight...Martinez is a MIDDLE WEIGHT...I dont understand whats so hard for you to see that. Floyd should basically say F it and fight Klitchko at a catch weight...
I think so. Ward is right behind Floyd imo. Dre is a hall of famer in the making imo. This is based on ability not resume.
I agree..
What people fail to see because they are new to the sport is that P4P rankings typically goes to the BIGGER men. The only reason why the WW division is the division to be at is because the HEAVY WEIGHT divison is DEAD!
With that being said FLoyd Mayweather is P4P the best fighter in the world hands down. I dont care which fighter you are a fan of, skill wise floyd still got it & until someone beats him he is P4P the best because he's fought the best and beat the best.
Andre Ward is def number 2 behind him because he is a BIGGER man who is technically one of boxing best. The guy KNOWS how to win in any situation. Where as fighters like Pac, Martinez, Marquez only have one style. You've never seen a fight where you actually seen them thinking & adapting to their opponent. Thats what seperates the great from the good...Mayweather and Ward are the only fighters who adapt and technically destroy their opponents...
... and pac hasnt even fought JMM yet. Floyd on the other hand is a free agent to face martinez.. Whats wrong with this picture?
Apparently u know nothing bout boxing...anyone who wants to see Pac vs Martinez or Floyd vs Martinez is PURE FOOL!!!!
If Martinez comes down to 147 from middle weight he would be completely drained and weak to face either fighter. On the other hand Manny cant even make 154 to face margarito, why would he go up to 154 to face a middle weight...same with floyd...thats TOO MUCH WEIGHT..
lets make this make sense...please..
Or...

maybe GOD isn't real and we're investing time into meaningless questions that mean nothing.
U dont have to believe in God etc, but believe this...No matter how hard you train, no matter how many hours you spend hitting the bag, lifting weights, or running. If it aint in you it aint in you. Now ask yourself this....how did it get into FLoyd Mayweather Jr?
his dad and uncle wasnt even on this guys level so it couldnt be his GENES...theres no such thing as a BOXING GENE. They may be good trainer but they cant train everyone to be a floyd mayweather jr....so his talents would have to be GOD GIVEN...
Not saying that GOD loves floyd more, we all have talents...FLoyd is just a wizard in the ring....NO PEDS...just talent..
What was the press conference for?
THat was when he retired after beating Hatton. He said he was gonna retire after he fought Oscar but no one believed him, so he went on to fight Hatton. Then After the ko of hatton he figured he retire, and was emotional giving the speach.
He said..."see ya'll didnt want to believe me"..and then broke down crying...
Act like a dikk, get treated like a dikk.
Naw...nothing to do with how he acts. Cuz what he does outside the ring isnt none of our business. Just as he has flaws so do u, just so happen u not in the spot light. But what we pay for is BOXING and he is the best boxer PERIOD....get that hate out yo heart and tip yo hat to a real ***** thats 42-0 and got more ass whooping to go..
Mayweathers' Record In Terms of Drug Use and Violence
Pacquiao's historic climb in boxing's different divisions has sparked concerns that he's taking prohibited drugs. The Mayweathers have accused Manny of steroid use without evidence and have imprinted to the public the deceptive nature of the Filipino icon.
Ironically, these accusations have its roots from a sporting family strongly associated with shootings, drug use and trafficking, family rivalries, extra-marital affairs and trouble with the law.
In 1993, Floyd Sr. was convicted for drug trafficking and jailed for five years. He was also guilty of smuggling cocaine in boxes of laundry detergent.
In 2006, Roger Mayweather also started a riot when he attacked Zab Judah during a bout with Floyd Jr. He was fined $200,000 and suspended for year. He was also jailed for six months
In 2007, Floyd Mayweather Sr. also found out in that he fathered a 19-year-old light middleweight by name of Jones. The teenager contacted Floyd Sr. because of comments from his friends and relatives that he has resemblance to the Mayweather family. He then requested Mayweather if he would take a DNA test. The DNA test proved positive.
In August 2009, Roger Mayweather was arrested in Las Vegas for attacking one of his former female boxers. Mayweather allegedly hit her several times in the ribs, then tried to choke her, causing her to spit up blood when police arrived. In a interview with HBO, Roger later admitted to choking St. Vil in an effort to restrain her, but denied that he physically struck her.
Police has also search the Rolls Royce car of Floyd Mayweather Jr., who was speculated to be involved in a shooting incident outside the Crystal Palace Skating Center in Las Vegas in August 2009.
The accusation of Pacquiao using performance enhancing drugs should be viewed in light of the family background of the Mayweathers. It is worth noting that the issue of steroid use was first brought up by Senior Mayweather, who has been jailed for drug smuggling and trafficking.
100 years later....same story smh
He came at Larry Merchant all the way wrong he is 80 years old.
My life goal is to be the undisputed heavyweight champion the world I would never flip out on Larry Merchant like that have some respect.
That's the thing...."YOU" not Floyd..
I dont get it with the exception of Manny Pacquiao and im sure other boxers Im not thinking of most guys have pencil thin legs. Even when I was boxing my trainer never made me do leg workouts I always did them on my own.
Having a strong base would greatly benefit the boxer and definitely improve punching power.
Any reason behind this?
His calfs aren't much bigger then floyds go look at the measurements...the fact also is...MANNY IS SHORT!!! his body is compact.
Let's get real.
Manny got exposed last night against Marquez. I personally had Marquez winning this fight 7 rounds to 5, possibly even 8 rounds to 4.
Mayweather is a faster, stronger, smarter, bigger Marquez with better ring IQ and better defense. I think the public is starting to wake up a bit and realize that May and Pac will be a mismatch.
Where you been at? Real boxing fans been screaming that since 09'...its manny who hasnt agreed to terms to fight, and its manny who is willing to fight marquez again in may 2012 for a 4th time instead of fighting Floyd....we been woke
haha...T.S got it right.
Cotto got it right, there's no way that material cracks and guess what....IT DIDNT, its a piece of thread.
I still say Margarito cheated due to the fact he beat down cotto, cintron, knocked a guys ear off. BUt after the plaster findings, he got ko by mosley and beat down by pac (who is suspect for roids)....I dont know...
I guess this rematch will prove it once and for all, although both fighters are damaged goods from the last time they met...
Cotto wins this next fight.
Anyone else think that Khan's loss is quite possibly inconsequential/irrelevant as regards to his fight with Mayweather? Mayweather fights nothing like Peterson and is not a 'pressure' fighter.
I think Khan is brilliant and faster than Mayweather from the outside, he just has no inside game and can't take pressure well. Not saying he definitely beats Mayweather but Khan right now is like a better version of Judah in some ways (though with less power) and Judah infamously gave Floyd some problems during the first half of their fight but then gassed out and mentally quit, which is something Khan doesn't do, at least not as bad as Judah.
So as much as it's funny how bad Peterson owned Khan, I actually think that loss has very little relevance towards the outcome of a fight against Mayweather. I think Khan would still give Mayweather major problems and steal a lot of rounds on activity alone.
Where do these fighters and fanboys come from? Its honeslty a new fighter and a new fan group every year. When will they ever learn? Is it possible for them to learn?
We talking bout Floyd Mayweather arguably one of the best fighters of this era and of all time. And you saying Khan owns hims stylistically? Whats is khans style??? let me answer it....HE DOESNT HAVE ONE, all speed thats it.
Khan needs to beat peterson, maybe rematch marcos, fight Berto, or Ortiz, and maybe some of them young guys like burner or whtever his name is. I'm sick of hearing khan in the same sentence with greatness....the guy isnt near floyds level...
Horrible match up...Lets see Khan vs ortiz, berto, rematch marcos etc. And lets see cotto vs that red head mexican, kirkland or angulo (however u spell it.) or even martinez at 154...
Stop matching people based off their name, and start matching people with talent in the divison their already in....we've seen cotto at 147 & now he's at 154...let him fight at 154
