And I think Bud is better than both. He's too gritty. When it gets tough, he drills hard. Brook hasn't seen anything like it.
Thats a good point about crawford. He is pretty but he can street fight if it comes to that.
Is this about the fear and intimidation factor? or skill level? There are definitely brits who seem good enough technically. But when I see Billy Joe talking the way he was over that debacle with Canelo my impression is there is a bit of stage fright and not daring to be great.
Khan beats Brook all day. Khan would overwhelm him.
I don't think Khan wants to fight again but I agree with that. Hand speed and physical power would be too much.
Thanks, I hoped someone would do this; I was too lazy. People need reminding that Lomachenko still exists and is still the most talented boxer in 135 punds
It's a little to early to call a duck imo. He is obviously on the radar but there are other factors, almost all financial.
I doubt Teo fears him, or anyone in that division.
Should have a syringe in the center with DNA code going around the outside, and some small businesses with bankruptcy notices on the doors. Would make more sense.
I keep hearing that.
Loma gave Teo ample opportunity to get that KO. DO NOT say Loma waited for Teo to be tired :lol1:
I don't think Loma could physically fight with the necessary intensity for more than 5 rounds. Not against strong counterpunching Teo; he doesn't have the energy anymore.
I watched Prograis watch the fight back and commentate on each round - he wasn't sore like some.
That sticks in my mind of a fighter taking it very well. A close loss that he could have argued against.
He is a man of character.
Haha, awesome video! He likes being center of attention even more than Teofimo. Hope he can back it up. I like both Tank and Ryan, can't say who I'd like to win. I wouldn't bet on Ryan though I knew he was going to destroy Campbell, Tank's another matter.
What a cretin! It’s 2021 man, get up to date!
Can’t wait for there to be an openly gay fighter who destroys all these fighters you fanaticise about
Coincidentally those who protest the most do it to deflect attention so I think deep down you want Linares to beat the breaks off you if you know what I mean!
I'll give a proper reason why it's a problem: Because Ryan is supposedly a believing Christian.
He's not gay anyway, he was recently in the press for cheating on his fiance with an absolutely stunning model.
And if you are looking for a great gay boxer: Emile Griffith.
By the way "the date" makes no difference to whether something is morally right or wrong. But that, presumably, is lost on you.
Loma basically just skipped to the endgame portion of a contenders professional career. You should be praising Bob Arum 1st and foremost for that because the fast-track wouldn't of happened otherwise.
And I am a Loma fan who defended him a lot after Teo loss but I think your premise is a bit off. You are forgetting the commercial side of it.
I just read on espn from his manager:
"If it's possible, we would like to have the rematch," Klimas said. "If they are so tough ... are they willing to come back and do that?"
I think Teo will lose some respect as at least compared with Floyd if he does a runner and doesn't take a rematch.
The fight leave unanswered questions as to "undisputed."
Valero is faster, stronger and more skilled than Salido. Valero is faster, stronger and a harder puncher than Teo.
Don't know how you knew all that but I guess I'll just take your word.
Personally I think it would be a good fight. Very brutal. Valero I think would equal Loma as a puncher, in terms of speed and accuracy. But I don't want to speculate too much.
Would be an amazing fight anyway.
“ It really was too bad his life had to be cut short due to mental disorder”
In other words, it’s “too bad” Valero murdered his wife and then committed suicide in guilt.
Poor guy
He couldn't actually remember what happened. He woke up the next day and she was lying dead next to him. The night before he thought he was being chased by gangsters or something, like they were going to kidnap him. It's very weird, but it's too easy to just condemn people.
I can see both fighters faces messed up by the end. Slow start with those rangy jabs to the body, and lots of lunging from distance. I think Teo would have it because I don't think Haney would be so willing to close the gap against him. Haney is such a prime athlete and also wants to be a superstar so you would expect him to throw everything he has into it. Would need a trilogy.
He quit and all those you listed quit. It is just a fact. No other factors can alter that.
What you can do is be more forgiving of them when it's found they had a serious injury. No one will ever get praise for quitting in a brutal sport like this. The point of violence to destroy the opponent. Wanting them to leave the ring safely is an arbitrary condition that leads to wacky reasoning.
I can't condemn someone for wanting to save his eyesight but I won't praise him either.
Inoue fought from the 2nd round with exactly the same injury.
Just watched the highlights. Depressing to watch; looks like they couldn't get motivated without the crowd. Looks like they are just going through the motions. Looks more like an advert for sports deodorant.
Well the papers are backing him 100% lol. The Sun said he is out for 5 months with the bust bone and "bleed on the retina." Sounds nasty...
Looks like the damage control will prevail; Brook also defended him. He has, like, about 15 years left as a heavy weight so surely he can at least challenge a couple of times.
There doesn't seem to be many who spend most of the fight in the opponents punching range but still avoid being hit. Canelo is the most obvious, Loma also. Maybe Shakur is getting up there. People will laugh but I'm tempted to add both Tank and Golovkin; on account that they can defend well while remaining in punching range. The thing about those guys is they are so strong they usually don't have much fear of their opponents power, so occasionally just walk through. If they had be more careful I think they could. They remind me of Chavez Sr in that sense.
The most impressive thing about GGG, is something that the 'haters' never want to give him credit for - the dude has been remarkably consistent in his career, and never has had close to an off-night against anyone below top level. That is very rare for any fighter.
For him to still be the same consummate pro at 38 is very impressive as well. He is what he is. If you aren't top level, you are getting KOed and will maybe win a round. If you are top level, you will give him a competitive fight most times, and probably still lose.
I like fighters who take care of their body and handle business like a pro - how can you not appreciate GGG doing that his whole career
Exactly. People who attack him tend to do so on the basis that he doesn't look as unstoppable against top class opponents as he does against everyone else.
If Loma feels Hamed's power early, he won't go into a shell like he did with Lopez because Hamed doesn't have that size/weight advantage. Loma would outbox and bamboozle Naz with his speed and footwork for a points win. Having said that, prime Naz could get into position to land those bombs and if he does then Loma's in trouble. Basically, the Prince would have a punchers chance.
Exactly. I don't think it would go the distance, either could win by KO. It's easy to say Loma would outbox; but maybe it would take a while for him to adjust. Would be an amazing bout.
I think the best evidence is the damage to the face of the boxer after. You would have a feeling something was wrong during the fight like it was in the documented cases.
Also why would Tank even bother cheating?
There is of course the possibility that he is doing it to hype the next match.
More likely his ego is so wounded he has twisted things up in his head and believes anything. The thing about this conspiracy theory is that some things seem weird; like the damage he sustained seems unusual. But he knows people watched Fury having his hands wrapped and all that so maybe it's just talk.
