Just curious as I read somewhere that the second pair of gloves were witnessed and signed by team Santa Cruz, albeit there are others here claiming the switcheroo was done in private. Let's squash that, what does LSC think about the fight!
Absolutely nothing was wrong with Tank's gloves. Team Sana Cruz witnessed the hand wrapping and the gloves were approved, signed and sealed. Team Santa Cruz has not complained about Tank's gloves because there was nothing to complain about. It is Tank haters throwing false accusations around that have no basis in facts.
I don't see the reason why Tank would cheat, the guy is super talented, hits hard, is freaking quick and his conditioning is impeccable. Most of us knew Tank was gonna beat Leo. but I totally understand this "misunderstanding"
Him putting on another pair of gloves is not an issue, the fighters pick 2 pairs of gloves at the selection table. The pair they want and a back up pair incase for whatever reason they no longer want to wear the first pair.
This is what appeared to happened, the motives are up in the air as to why but theirs nothing really out of the ordinary with that particular situation.
The issue I have is that LSC team was not notified and was not able to oversee this process of them putting on,taping off and signing off on the back up gloves. Basically they got to glove up without team LSC inspecting it, reasons its wrong is because you're allowed to inspect it and team LSC did do this for the 1st version. The 1st version team LSC had a representative in their watching them wrap, glove up and the commissioner sign off on the first pair. Team LSC representative left and then tank/TMT switched out to the 2nd version and team LSC representative wasn't not notified to come RE-inspect that process.
So basically they put on a fake show for the team lsc to inspect and approve and when team LSC representative left they gloved up the real pair/the real way they really wanted without team LSC approval. Thats how you can look at it and this is why boxing allows the opposite corner to inspect this process, for a fighters safety. Team Tank is a conflict of interest, the commissioner can be compromised/incomptent, so the fail-safe is your own team-mate to inspect the gloves and object to issues. Its a vital important process.
Imagine if Margarito gloved up in front of Brother Nazim Richardson normally with no "bricks" and nothing foul and so theirs nothing to contest so Brother Nazim Richardson approves it and leaves, but when he leaves Margarito decided "he don't like the first pair of gloves" so he switches the gloves and without notifying Brother Nazim Richardson/team Mosley he (Margarito) re-gloves without oversight from Brother Nazim Richardson and comes into the fight with Who-Knows-What in his gloves. This is why this is a very important process. This is why you,me and everyone should be weary with how nonchalant people in the industry are taking this.
This is the kind of stuff that basically gets the red flags in the air, literally what's up with that? I guess if it's not the commission s problem then this ultimately shoulda been taken care of team LSC. It's not that they are gonna say anything was wrong (he was a warrior in leo)
Dont they signed off a few pairs of gloves the day before ?????, The commission then brings those gloves that were approved, but i thought its more than one pair that they get approved for the fight night like 2 or 3, honestly I dont know, most custom gloves they receive are a few days before the fight so its known that there not even accustomed to the gloves

I think the best evidence is the damage to the face of the boxer after. You would have a feeling something was wrong during the fight like it was in the documented cases.
Also why would Tank even bother cheating?
100% dats true
