i seriously think and i hope im wrong that Warren is just cashing in on Khan, even though Warren is a promoter he must know a thing or two about talent and which fighters really have it in them to become world champions and P4P fighters-maybe he doesnt see that in Khan, i mean alot of people think he is just over-hyped and for all his talent and speed the chin is made of glass!!! Warren has just signed 3 olympic boxers-(Gavin never made it due to weight), and maybe he feels he will just cash in on big fights before he moves on to better prospects i think Gavin is a better prospect than Khan!! Then Khan will probably leave and let one of his brothers promote him and we will see what goes on from there.....
2 more
1st kessler
2nd one of the top cruiserweights maybe the winner of a cunnigham vs adamek rematch...largely hoping that cunningham would be the victorious one as a b-hop vs cunningham fight would generate more publicity and marketing
Joe made a point, while he was a boxer he loved the sport and accepted the situation because he was doing what he loved. But now he is if not retiried then conteplating retirement he is just saying what he feels, he was in the business and his opinion is certainly one to be considered.....god forbid we listen to something from joe as oppose to an internet forum boxing expert who probably has no experience of what goes on behind the scenes in the sport these days!!!
in short-good for boxing, good for the money men. neither's legacy should be tarnished only enhanced, as even if pbf looses he still has a record many top boxers cant boast and even manny looses he is still one of the best and there isnt many others who could beat him
im english and have to admit his mouth is getting him places where his boxing career doesnt yet deserve to be!!! i think its not merited for him to fight wlad, vitali or even sultan ibrigamov!!! i think he needs to fight atleast, rahman, sultan or peter before he can call out the klitchsko's as these are decent fighter that they have beaten (or would beat)
it is doing relatively well in europe, it has certainly been almost rejuvinated in the uk the attention towards boxing had slowly drifted away with the demise of naseem hamed, however personalities such as calzaghe, hatton and haye are keeping the interest from mainstream audiences. The klitchsko's,and other eastern european boxers are generating alot of interest in their respectivve regions!! it also begginning to pick up in other countries such as India where boxing is starting to generate interest amongst the youths who are getting involved as they have a few boxer who fought in the olympics and now proffesional ranks!!! The reason it has dwindles is because that in America the top fighters dont seem to fight each other as they used to- and for a long spell in boxing america hasnt produced a top heavyweight contender!! in addition to this boxing has become too much of a de facto sport, where boxers move up and down at will-the belts have lost all meaning and credibility!!!
as steve bunce said chad dawson couldn't 'draw flies to shit' aint gonna happen!! calzaghe is gonna retire it seem the right time, although hopkins vs dawson could be on the cards, however i agree first dawson must BEAT johnson in a rematch
my top 10 in order
1) manny vs hatton at 140lbs at wembley
2) cotto vs margarito II
3) haye vs wlad preferably in london either o2 or wembley
4) de la hoya vs margarito
5) kessler vs taylor
6) b-hop vs dawson
7) haye vs peter maybe from africa, either s.africa or another top venue
8) malignaggi vs judah (on the pac-hatton u-card)
9) khan vs prescott II
10) dawson vs johnson II
he shouldn't ... he should fight zab judah... outpoint him.... and then get another title shot.... and make some nice money and then retire at 33
yehh i would like to see a judah malignaggi fight
lol people need to calm down, it just about stirring things up and promotion for hopkins he intends for a reaction and gets it!! its boxing politics as he says, if its not the white boy shit, its someones face on a milk carton he is the master at it (along with floyd).
for godss sake why always compare the two, when u look into it they are very different sports!! i personally dislike ufc and mma but appreciate why its supporters do!! dana white is just trying to promote ufc by knocking the more popular sport!!

i wouldnt be so confident regarding povetkin, however a KO over Chamber and a decision againt ibrigamov should put him in the front of the HW pecking order for the world tittles
i would prefer to see him fight peter rather than klitchsko
Malignaggi can be a much better boxer than he has shown in his last 2 fights.
exactly, he has underperformed but none the less he has still won, and knows he can do much better.
two thing i think that stand in the way of malignaggi's is:
1) his right hand- seems injury prone
2) Buddy McGirt- no doubt good trainer, put paulie should have stuck with his usual training team, i never get why successful boxers change trainers who know their style and temperement best!
malignaggi has lots of potential, it's really down to him whether he can push himself into the elite.
