whats the points of mayweather fighting manny...

I want to see it, don't get me wrong

in short-good for boxing, good for the money men. neither's legacy should be tarnished only enhanced, as even if pbf looses he still has a record many top boxers cant boast and even manny looses he is still one of the best and there isnt many others who could beat him

if even, if he wins, people will say it means nothing? People will say, that wasn't a welterweight. People will say Manny was past it, people will say Manny was overrated. Other than the money, is it worth it for Floyd? History my friend. Specially if it's at 140 the one belt Floyd is missing. Yes he actually fights for belts, Floyd doesn't he? Is Pacquiao 40? No, he's actually the p4p number 1 fighter in the world, is in his prime and they are about the same size! He's also younger. This fight, if Floyd wins will mean A LOT as far as history of boxing goes. He will be the ONLY real ATG of this generation once he really detaches from Pacquiao, the one i also give much credit for his wins over the Mexican legends.

Other than the money, is it worth it for Floyd? if anyone says any of those things, they are just hating, plain and simple. first off, floyd would be coming off of inactivity. second, manny is not past his prime, he is not a metal midgit like zab, he is not a one hit wonder like baldie. he is not a rich past his prime golden boy. all of the things i just mentioned can be said about all of the fighters he has faced leading to his retirement...i didn't mention hatton, cause hatton was a good win(even though hatton is not that great at welter, collazo proved that before floyd did).... pac is in his prime! fast, strong, showed that he is becoming a complete fighter, has a much inproved defense, and carried the weight very well. if they fight, and that is a big if, there is nothing but props you have to give to floyd, or just continue to hate on him...the choice is up to the fans...but if you do chose to hate, then your just a hater...nothing more. the same can and will be said if manny wins..

I would love to see the fight and that is the sole reason Flloyd should do it

i think it is worth it Pac is the great that people have been calling Mayweather out on never fighting there will always be idiots who look to discredit anything and everything (especially on here) but Mayweather will get major props from most people who knows what's what if he was to beat Pacquiao

IMHO if PBF beats PAC he will get all the credit he deserve and its true only haters dont give credit where it is due... to be more significant PAC should fight and hopefully beat Hatton first then we have a mega fight in our hands... Very true, you will ALWAYS find people that actually seek out ways and reasons to detract from peoples careers. It's the way it goes. I think a clear cut win over Pacman would be a brilliant statement though, especially after his performance against DLH. and this go both ways a clear cut victory for PACMAN would be unprecedented

No lets get things staight here. Is it worth it for Pac fighting PBF? Because people will say PBF was ring rusty. Or they will say PBF was over the hill. Or they will say PBFs heart wasnt in it if Pac beats him? I mean people had DLH such a big favourite against Pac, yet Pac was still discredited by some people.

No matter what anyone says, Floyd returning from a period of inactivity to defeat the p4p#1 fighter speaks volumes (imo).
