This should be fun. If boxing's "big four" of Mayweather, Martinez, Pacquiao, and Donaire were all the same size who would win in a round robin tournament? Personally, with the size of all four being equal I like Floyd to prevail because he has the best skills. Personally, I would take Pac but by a pretty small margin though. I think Pac and Floyd would make the finals for sure. Hey, are you a big Derrick Rose fan? I definitely am. He should definitely take MVP this year because of how far he's taken the Bulls. He'll be a Hall of Famer for sure. He's fearless and he's got mad skills. It would be awesome if Blake Griffin joined him with the rest of the Bulls.. But I'll keep on dreaming... =) But yeah, I'm kinda high on D. Rose right now. Westbrook's definitely going to make a huge impact in the NBA later on in his career too. With him and Durant, they'll probably be one of the Top 3 Teams to beat within a few years.

I think the move to GBP is actually better for Donaire because now he has a chance to fight Mares who is with GBP assuming he beats agbeko. Or anyone for that matter. Pac cheated on his wife. I honestly don't know if he's had an affair or not, that's between God, Manny and his family. "Sanctification" is a process. This means that Christians still sin but there will be a noticable improvement in their livelihood as time goes on. Some people make sudden improvements after being Born Again, but some take more time than others. It all leans on Gods timing. The type of fighter that would be able to defeat Floyd is someone that has better footwork than him (Manny Pacquiao and Andre Dirrell are the two only fighters whom I can think of that have better footwork than anyone else in boxing today). This fighter would then have to cut-off the ring and then keep Floyd cornered or on the ropes while throwing combos so quick and powerful that if Floyd lands one, he'll pay by getting hit by three or four more shots than his opponent. I believe Manny Pacquiao has more of an advantage over Paul Williams in this regard because of his superior footwork. While Williams does have a great output pct., he'd still be too slow on his feet to neutralize Floyds ring generalship.

I personally believe Judah has a great chance of beating Pacquiao, but I'm more than certain Judah won't get the fight. One of Pacs sparring partners said that Manny has "the energy of a baby." I totally agree. So Manny should contend with the younger and more energetic fighter in Bradley.

As a huge Pacfan myself, I can't seem to get enthused about his fight with Margarito or Cotto. Although Pac is merely doing as he's told, I'm guilty of wanting him to "politely" tell Bob Arum to go take a hike. Manny has the potential to become "The Greatest of All-Time," but with Arum preventing him from taking on Paul Williams and those at 140 (such as Bradley, Alexander, Maidana and Khan) after being ducked yet again by Floyd, it will without a doubt leave a question mark hanging at the end of Manny's career if he so chooses to take on Margarito or Cotto, and then retire. Though I respect Manny as a Christian Brother and as a person of character who also possesses inhuman-like talent, I will no longer be able to say that he was one of "The Greatest" if he so chooses to retire w/ out taking on Williams, Alexander, Maidana and/ or Khan. Paul Williams, Timothy Bradley, Devon Alexander, Maidana and Khan have been receiving more than enough media-attention to create more than enough sales if one of them were to contend with Manny. As a matter of fact, I believe Paul Williams, Bradley and Khan have received more "positive" attention from the media in terms of their greatness than Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto has in the last few months. If Manny "wants" to be Great, then he has to ditch TR. On the other hand, I can see where Manny's coming from in regards to his loyalty. So the real question is, what's more important to Manny Pacquiao? His Legacy or his Loyalty to the man who shaped his career. As a selfish boxing fan who wants to see him excel, I'm guilty of wanting him to dump TR. But as a Christian, I would have to say that Loyalty and respect are more important than any kind of recognition that the world perceives as Great. Then again, everyone knows that Arum is milking Manny. So, though I can understand where Manny's coming from in terms of his decision making, I would not want to be in his shoes right now. However, I'm confident that God has helped him with his decision-making. Therefore, though I don't completely understand what's going on, I'll just just have to trust that God is in control and that my understanding is of no value in comparison to Gods plan. Peace

i dont want to see Manny retire. i wana see him keep on fighting. maybe 2 more fights. i dont see why Manny has to fight Floyd or retire. best fighters dont always fight the best or doesnt need to fight all best. back in the day they fought the same boxers 3,4,5 times but nobody cares. they just wanted to see a good fight. i want to see the best fighter in this era to keep on fighting for another year. I'd rather see Pac retire than fight with either JMM, Cotto or Mosley. If he's going to stay in boxing, he needs leave TR and then either square-off with the winner of Williams-Martinez, or drop back down in weight and take-on Bradley, Alexander, Khan and Maidana. Floyd's obviously my first option against Manny, but it doesn't look like the Mayweather's are going to man the fck up any time soon.. Most women never do.

against elite fighters? there is no elite fighters in Manny's division except Floyd. I dont think Manny would stay longer in jr middleweight. he cant even make 150 lbs. asking him to fight Williams and Martinez would be too much in 154 lbs and up. Mosley, Cotto, Floyd who were elite boxers in 147 lbs didnt even want to mention Williams name. Fighting Williams in 147 lbs is irrelevant because Paul would be weight drained. Manny already made history. asking for more would be unfair. The best Asian fighter, Fighter of the Decade, 3x Fighter of the Year and a 7 time Division Champion is already impossible feat. 7 Division champion was impossible until Manny did it. First-off, I'm not necessarily referring to the most elite contenders at Manny's "current" division, I'm talking more in terms of Manny contending with "whomever" he can at a weight division (preferably by a sanctioned body) in which he can compete with the best-whether or not it means that Manny should drop down in weight and contend with the best at 140, or contend with Floyd and/ or Williams at 150 and up. It doesn't really matter.. As a boxing fan, I just want to see the best compete with the best. But you're right about one thing, Manny's paid his dues and he's defeated everyone that's ever been put in-front of him. Mannys legacy has been cemented in that respect (as one of the Greatest Boxers of All-Time), but it would help boxing a lot more if he could do everything within his reach to take-on the very best of who's currently "available" in the sport.

I don't know why you guys are complaining so much Gael Garcia Bernal is a really good actor in case some of you haven't seen any of his movies. so true and its funny to sit here and watch people pass judgement as if they are perfect..everyone has issues..floyds are just made public I definitely believe that God is disciplining Floyd in terms of humility, character and honesty . God is our Father, and He'll discipline us and help us to grow in areas where he believes we're weak. What fight will generate a better rating on HBO Alexander/Bradley or Doniare/Montiel? That one's a tough call but if I had to pick one, I'd slightly be in favor of the bout that receives the most amount of hype and "drama" from fans (from laymen to boxing aficionados). So in that regard, I'm leaning more towards Donaire/ Montiel because of a few reasons: 1) Donaire alone has a huge following of Filipino fans from all over the world that believe he could be Pacquiao's successor or even the next Pacquiao. 2) All boxing fans (casual and hardcore alike) have been patiently waiting for Donaire to test himself against other elite fighters, other than Vic Darchinyan. Three to four years after their fight, we FINALLY get what we've been dying to see-a true test of his skill against an elite competitor. 3) There's also been some hype over Donaire being in the Top 3 P4P, so depending upon his next performance against Montiel, this fight could solidify his legitimacy to be mentioned amongst the very likes of Manny Pacquiao, Sergio Martinez and Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the not so distant future (and no, I don't believe Nonito's in the Top 3 P4P just yet). 4) One last thing.. no one promotes their fighters better than Bob Arum (aka "The Drama King" who makes Don Kings efforts look like child's-play). In conclusion, no matter how hardcore boxing followers may view Alexander and Bradley, drama and theatrics will always take the cake when trying to generate public appeal.

Some of you people on here are such noobs to boxing. That's the only way to explain this phenomenon. Howard Davis Jr., Muhammad Ali, SRR to an extent, Pernell Whitaker, SRL sometimes, and Willie Pep are PURE boxers. Which means they'll dance around their opponent, with the jab popping all night. These fighters are not really reflexive fighters, although sometimes they are off the jab. Mayweather is more of a counterpuncher, he's very unorthodox in that he leads with his right hand a lot, leaps in with the left hook, but sometimes he switches his style completely. Even Max Kellerman partakes in this stupid phenomenon, grab a boxing book and watch some boxing. Kellerman doesn't know anything about boixng. Though the majority of "pure boxers" have used their jab as their primary tool for staying on the "out-side" in order to keep their opponents at bay, that does not mean Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not a "pure boxer." The most important factors that determine a "pure boxer" are the ability to control distance, influence the tempo of a fight, they must possess great footwork, have great speed, exhibit great reflexes and have reliable long range attacks such as a jab or Floyds "leaping left-hook" and his quick right-cross. As a matter of fact, when Floyd potshots, he always does so at bay while determining his distance and timing, as all "pure boxers" do. With the exception of a highly consistent jab, Floyd possesses all of the above. What separates Floyd from a lot of boxers though is his ability to adapt and play any role he chooses such as a counter-puncher, working as an in-fighter or a "pure out-fighter."

It just bothers me when I hear Max Kellerman continually call Mayweather that. Because he's not a "pure boxer", in the classic sense. Historically, a "pure boxer" means using the jab a lot. It's like calling Manny Pacquiao a brawler. Where exactly does it say that you must possess a great jab to be considered a "pure boxer?"

Don't get me wrong, he's the total package, well balanced, skilled, but being so much bigger than his opposition has greatly contributed to his success. People can't deny that, and don't get offended and say I'm tryin' to bash him because I'm not. I never had a problem with P.Will, Caballero or Margarito facing smaller opponents, so why would I have a problem with Donaire doing it? I like Donaire too. It's obvious though because we've all seen constant threads of Donaire vs. Juanma or Gamboa, even Max brought this to Donaire's attention; on Donaire possibly moving up to FW, so we all know what people are seeing here. Montiel was still a great win and I'm not discrediting his win at all. Just that some like to deny that Donaire's size hasn't played a role. 1) How many inches taller do you think Ali was over Frazier? 2) Do you believe Fraziers win over Ali was contributed to their size?

don't get me wrong. im on the donaire bandwagon since he starched darch. but will he be as devastating against someone who is just as tall as him? What makes you think he'd be any less effective?

He can defeat anyone, but if the lord happens to be on the other boxer's side, they can defeat him. I can appreciate your point of view. I "personally believe" the man with the most Trust in the Lord will come out victorious. But you definitely make a great point.
