Tyson Fury will lose because his last two opponents were Sefer Seferi and Francesco Pianeta while Wilder had a legitimate match with Luis Ortiz. It is that simple. Fury and his team are cashing out. No way Fury or his team actually have any confidence in him. If they did, they would have tuned him up against respectable heavyweights instead of C+ opponents.
Why is Fury vs Klitschko talked about as some sort of masterpiece. it's easily in the top five of most unwatchable fights of the last 30 years.
Amen to that. Fury got the victory but it was a horrible fight to watch. He should have been given a separate suspension for making past heavyweight champions roll over in their graves.
You didn't appreciate watching Fury shut down a man who had barely lost a round in 12 years?
Stick to football, casual.
See this is the problem with these boxing forums.....they're infected with the ignorant.
Klitschko lost in 2003 and 2004. That being said, Fury's "fight" vs Klitschko is unwatchable.
Comical
First of all, "Who?" Who is this cat they're quoting? Never mind.
Secondly, Fury's fight vs Klitschko was a disgrace and is still unwatchable. Stinking up the arena in a world heavyweight title fight won't earn him a victory in the United States.
It was unwatchable I agree, you are not casual for saying so.
It's a matter of preference. I prefer to see elite level heavyweights actually engage. Sticking and moving can be a thing of beauty but what happened on November 28, 2015 at Esprit Arena, Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany......should be removed from YouTube. 😂
Yes before the Fury fight, Klitschko's last loss was 2004, so roughly 12 years. Klitschko wasn't disarmed and outboxed, he gassed and got knocked out.
Klitschko then changed his style and like i said, barely lost a round for over a decade.
It's not unwatchable at all, you clearly don't understand enough about the nuances of the sport to appreciate what Fury was doing in there.
Fury beat Klitschko in 2015.
2015 minus 12 is 2003. Klitscko lost in 2003 and 2004. Simple math.
Appreciation and recognition of the accomplishment does not equal enjoying the event.
Get a clue and get some perspective. If everyone had the same beliefs, there would be no reason to discuss the fights. Boxing has always been subjective and always will be. Stop watching if you can't handle it.
Pre fight hype. McGregor and his camp aren't so stupid that they believe Jose Aldo is truly a comparison to Floyd Mayweather. If they are that dumb, they're in for a humbling experience.
McGregor goes on and on about his power, which is more proof of his boxing ignorance, because he's forgetting....power hurts but speed kills.
Going to be entertaining watching Mayweather exploit all of his flaws. I suggest everyone watch a McGregor fight and see how he has absolutely no clue how to fight on the inside, attack the body, throw a jab or properly execute a combo. Why? Because he's a MMA fighter.
A butcher wearing a surgeon's mask is still just a butcher.
Rigo has nothing to lose by going to 130 to fight Loma. He'll gain a better payday, exposure and credit for boxing a larger man.
Both are phenomenal southpaw boxers. Interesting that the smaller Rigo has the reach advantage. Speed and skill are equal. Power might be advantage Loma. This might truly be a 50/50 fight.
McGregor's photographer is part of his team. Hell he might also be his public relations and marketing person.
There's a reason the photographer never said the word "punch".
You guys are idiots. Why would someone release a video of sparring before a boxing match? Floyd never has. He closes his gym for sparring sessions. Pauline and Connor won't release for a plethora of reasons. Like I said, you're an idiot. DKSAB
Where are those Mayweather still photos from training camp? Can't talk about a closed gym while releasing select photos.
Respectful, real talk from the perspective of a champion.
McGregor is in over his head but the motivation has always simply been the money so he's reaching his goal.
First mistake is that Haye has 1 child with his estranged wife. Secondly, Haye was inactive for over 3 yrs so that would be plenty of Xmas time. Thirdly, Bellew should focus on boxing and not Haye's personal business.
Broke? Stop the madness. Haye has made millions in the fight game and is in the promotions business with Richard Schafer.....he'll be alright.
Both Ward and Kovalev were in the VADA testing program for their November 19th title fight. Please direct us to any support of any claim that Ward failed the drug tests.
Now let's move on to why Briggs thinks he is still a contender.
Froch would still be excellent, never mind last year when they approached him after Chavez backed down. That was couple of month after Frochs most high profile win. He was p4p and easily #1 active smw. May weather would also be a great win, lineal SWW champ and a guy that embarrassed Canelo. Unless you think that one doesn't count due to the catchweight, if Canelo was drained?
I don't believe beating a semi-retired Froch is an impressive victory nor do I think a middleweight champion facing a welterweight is impressive either. Mayweather beat Jr Middleweight Champion Canelo at a 152 pound catchweight. No such thing as a weight drained 23 yr old especially when you factor in that Canelo weighed in at 153 against Trout five months earlier.
Had GGG fought Froch after the Groves fight, I would give him more credit.
Uh whatever. When is the last time he made 154? And why is he fighting for the lineal MW belt then?
Don't hav to be in the division to get a title shot, i.e. Pacquiao vs Bradley 1 and Pacquiao vs Algieri.
Ahhhh the time tested, fantastically stupid strategy of using the tactics of the loser to predict victory of a hypothetical match-up!! This type of stupidity is why Mayweather makes so much money. Suckas think they see some glaring flaw in Mayweather's boxing and then they start telling anyone that will listen, what his possible next opponent needs to do to win. Somehow these fools seem to ignore that 48 professional boxers and their trainers thought they had the winning formula too..... we all know how that turned out. It's absolutely ridiculous to suggest that GGG is going to abandon his stalking, cut the ring off boxing style to emulate Maidana's head down, wild swinging style. GGG is 33 years old and undefeated. He will continue to do what has worked for him. Unfortunately for him, his skills set does not make him a favorite to beat Mayweather. Floyd's hand speed, defense, foot work, foot speed, movement, ring I.Q, ring generalship, experience and conditioning are all superior to GGG's. The only advantages that GGG has is size and punching power. Everyone knows that punching power can be negated and size can be reduced at the negotiations table.
Mayweather in a UD.
GGG's resume is severly lacking in the elite opponent department. Canelo resume's is definitely superior and is about to widen the gap after stepping in the ring with Cotto. Furthermore, GGG chasing semi-retired Froch, welterweight Mayweather and other smaller opponents, does nothing for his legacy.
After the Berto fight it will be 24 fights against former/current major world champions through 5 divisions with 12 in a row being a current world title holder from Judah through Pacquiao (Guerrero was an interim champ and Maidana a rematch), in 49 undefeated professional fights.
Apparently Mayweather is cherry picking champions. The Mayweather hate is strong.
Please let all of us know when another boxer accomplishes what Mayweather has in the 17 years he has been Top 10 P4P and 7 years as the #1 P4P boxer in the world.
Currently Mayweather has victories over the 3 highest rated boxers in 3 divisions: Welterweight, Jr Middleweight and Middleweight.......#1 147 contender Pac, #1 Jr Middleweight contender Canelo and Lineal Middleweight champion Cotto
Just for some perspective.....Triple G has faced 2 former/current major world champions in his 33 fights and Ward has faced 5 former/current major world champions in his 28 fights.
Don't have to like Mayweather but give credit where it's due.
With the exception of heavyweights, most of the top boxers of the last 30 years have moved up to take on bigger challengers in larger divisions. The list speaks for itself: Duran, Leonard, Hearns, Chavez, Roy Jones Jr, Holyfield, Hopkins, Toney, Wright, De La Hoya, Naseem, Barerra, Morales, Mosely,Trinadad, Williams, Martinez, Calzaghe, Cotto, Pacquiao, Mayweather......the list goes on.
If GGG and his people can't see the connection between stardom and moving up through divisions, then they must be blind.
