Alvarez has fought Floyd, who is obviously a better opponent than anybody in GGG's resume, but he lost that one.
Canelo's 2 best wins are Lara and Trout, both close and hotly disputed points verdicts.
GGG is undefeated, highest KO% of any MW champ in history and he annihilated Geale, Rubio and Murray, who were on the same level at MW as Trout and Lara at SWW. So, all in all, GGG has the better record and resume.
Hahaha, too funny!!!
A number of other polls might be started as well...
Such as:
Who has reddish hair? Canelo or Golovkin?
Who holds hard fought decision wins against Trout and Lara? Canelo or Golovkin?
Who doesn't have to move up and fight Ward? Canelo or Golovkin?
Who is the best draw in Texas? Canelo or Golovkin?
... a.s.o...

Coming soon on HBO... a round robin tournament featuring Cotto's resume fighting Canelo's resume with the winner fighting the winner between Ward's resume and Golovkin's resume and then the winner of Lara's resume and Quillin's resume. There will also be Kovalev's resume against Stevenson's resume on the undercard with that winner going up against the winner between Wlad and Vitali's resumes.
Finally all the winning resumes will be put to shame by the resumes of the ATGs such as Leonard, Duran, Hagler, Ali, etc... All the losing resumes will be burned on a large bon fire fuelled by all the bullshit coming from posters who think that resumes win fights.
Now I think I will go and watch a tape of Buster Douglas' resume being destroyed by Mike Tyson's resume.
Excellent post )))
Canelo easily. I remember in the last few weeks there was a Danny Garcia vs Golovkin resume poll also and Garcia won that just as widely as Canelo did this. Still, the on who is on P4P lists, on some organization's list's top 5 is Golovkin... :dunno:
"Eye tests doe..."
What is missing in this discussion is "how" they beat their opponents, not only "who" were their opponents. which is why it is legitimate to pick GGG.

lmaoooolmaooolololol
people actually voted for gggs resume that consists of home depot parking lot job seekers
Anytime the user golovkin votes for something, the correct answer is usually the opposite
LOL, here we go with the agendas.
Why is Canelo ducking GGG then? GGG wants the fight NOW, Canelo wants it in the future.
**** Canelo's resume and **** your thread.
IF THEY FIGHT right now, GGG wipes the floor with his face. He knows Canelo out cold. He kills Canelo or brings him as close to death as he will ever come.
That's all that matters when comparing them. Nobody wants to fight GGG. Everybody is down to fight Canelo, no top name fears him. Nobody is down to fight GGG, every top names fears him.
On paper Canelo! But I feel if you delve into it GGG has the better resume!
Canelo has Mayweather, Mosley, Lara and Trout as his best fights!
He was beaten by Floyd, no shame in that but you have to call it how you see it, he was outclassed!
Shane Mosley was all of 80 years of age when he fought Canelo, he's been hit so many times he looks like a damn black cabbage patch kid!
Lara and trout were robbed... There I said it!!
GGG has Monroe Jr, Macklin, Murray, Geale, Rubio, Stevens and Rosado! I know none are the calibre of Mayweather or the name value of the crypt keeper Mosley! But they're all verifiable top 10 middleweights that Golovkin has obliterated! The kids also a silver medalist in the Olympics!
Plus need I remind you guys he's cold****ed Nobuhiro Ishiida, james Kirklands father and a legit heavyweight!!! :D
Edit: how the **** is cold****ed a ****ing swear word?? That's ****ing bull****
100%. "Canelo is the biggest fraud in boxing" ~Lupe Pintor
While I would love to see the fight, wouldn't it be better and more impressive if GGG went up to 168, like Floyd did at going up to 154, then coming down to 154?
Have you ever been impressed with a fighter going down in weight and beating the best in that class?
Since going down in weight and beating a lineal champion has literally NEVER HAPPENED in history and going up in weight and beating a lineal champ has happened dozens of times, maybe it's more impressive than you think
This is such an stupid question. Win, lose or draw Saul Alvarez has shared the ring with Mayweather, Mosley, Angulo, Lara, Trout, Kirkland. Nelo has a great resume at such a young age and it could get even better with a W over Cotto. Now you tell me, wich great fighters has Golovkin went against? EXACTLY
