You're gloating on the internet. LMAO @ you.
The Philippines have that little else going for them? What about the vibrant past and all the great contributions to world history?
That question doesn't make any sense. A record isn't just arbitrary numbers split by a dash. It can't change without his fights having changed.
So yeah, if he had lost a bunch of fights, his legacy would be less.
Defensive 'mastery' against a guy you hand-picked for his one-dimensionality is not impressive.
I expect most Pep fights were incredibly boring as well.
I'm still a Floyd fan. But that was a lame fight.
Baldy held the title, so not really handpicked.
But the discussion goes for his entire career.
Floyd had a bunch of other options.
Baldomir lurching around the ring trying to get off that right hand...easy pickins for PBF.
I can't think of another Floyd performance I didn't enjoy. I'd be happy with some more killer instinct in a couple fights. But overall, I like watching him. Not in that Baldomir fight, though. Carlos' snap was completely gone by the 5th or 6th after having whiffed on so many bombs. But Floyd still kept running. That was lame.
what do yall think Zab will do in 07' and beyond
i say in early 07' he fights Ricky Hatton(whom he's been callin out n gets ducked evrytime)
i know he'll KO rickys ***get ass
then i think he rematches Baldomir(i thought Zab won it,that decision reminded me of Delahoya-Trinidad didnt it?)
cuz we know Zab will look 4 da KO
cuz spinks got it bad
Zab hates losin n he'll do it all to win the rematch
Get off his nuts. This is pathetic.
if Kostya tszyu scarey ass returns..i hope he'll give Zab the chance to KO em
cuz kostya gotta lucky hit in
n Jay Nadys bitchass stopped it all waaaaaaay tooo early
by round 5 i think Judah woulda ko'd em
tho he was dazed,he was up at like a 5 count!!!
rite after he took a dive, lol,he got up n was ready 2 fight
i dont think its fair he stopped it wen Judah was ready before a 10 count
Nady needs to be fired
You can't get up off the canvas and then fall back down. It had nothing to do with Nady's judgment.
"Fired"??? For applying the rules?
Quartey didn't establish his jab that well in the DLH fight, from what I remember...
I agree that Winky is really poor risk/reward for a retirement fight.
Pac is like the Michael Jordan of the phillipines, lol they really love the guy.
Americans don't go anywhere near this crazy about Michael Jordan.
They have other things going on in their lives and other sources of cultural meaning. Pinoys have nothing. This fills the void.
The thing about Paulie is that nobody has really tried to frustrate Miguel in the ring the way that he is going to. I'm just guessing here but I think that Miguel is an easy one to throw off his game, and if Paulie can avoid those vicious blows in the early going he might have Miguel right where he wants him.
He's maturing a lot and getting better at fighting tactfully. You're right, though, this fight will test that.
The last thing you'd do if you were scared would be to skip the press conference. That's only going to psych you out further.
And, c'mon, he's got a dozen people on his payroll whose jobs are to tell him he's the fucking man. No way is he actually scared.
Gatti skipped those conferences because he was having trouble making weight and looked like Hell, no? Plus, he's not a trash-talker who wants to try and compete with PBF's mouth.
If I thought there were the slightest chance Zab could win this, I'd probably like where all the odds are heading; he is getting trashed by EVERYBODY and his stock couldn't get lower.
Two egotistic hip hop heads that are waiting to beat the shit out of each other!
A clash of personalities makes a good fight?
What about the actual boxing? Cos this is not as interesting as you're claiming.
There's only a tiny chance Zab can even keep it close. So who's gonna care about where Judah's from or who he hangs out with in his free-time when it's 10 rounds to 2 at the end of the fight?
Vargas had 20 I recall, he'd won the title on 15 against Campas. But you're pretty on the money, Vargas was still a relative pup, he shoulda had a couple more fights, that being said Tito woulda always exposed his dodgy chin. And I had Vargas taking over from 3-5 but after that Trinidad pretty much began to dominate (after low blows, ouch 'Nando felt them)
oh, hey, yeah
you are joking right?so 2 knockdowns in the first round vs vargas where dirty tactics?you my friend need to take of those biased glasses on because you clearly have some other motive for disliking tito as obvious for your avatar.
that's not what he referred to as dirty. Tito got knocked down, and a few seconds later low-blowed Vargas. bought him time and got him in a cheap-shot.
that isn't dirty????:ugh:
Shoutout to Felix Trinidad in 2000 too.
Undefeated Reid, one loss some guy I've never heard of, and undefeated Vargas. Reid and Vargas alone is a great year, and fighting a nobody can't actually hurt that, and considering he only had one loss, I can't imagine that it doesn't get him at least a fraction more of credit.
No way. Both Reid and Vargas were real young and, short of a few timely low-blows, he almost got KOd by Fernando.
Your an idiot that doesn't know shit so don't post your stupidness in here please. He's a junior pre-law major at the University Of Houston. 18 months away from his degree. You obviously don't know that law degrees are as hard as any degreee to obtain. And throw on top of that he is a full time boxer :fing02: There's no other boxer that can claim such achievement other then than the klitchsko brothers. Most boxers having nothing else going for them other then fighting. Sum of them are even in their thirties with no degrees nothing to fall back on working for supermarkets bagging groceries.
There's a difference between pre-law and law school. A huge one. Anyone with a GED can be "pre-law". You can call yourself whatever you want, if you plan on pursuing it after your BA. Hey, I'm pre-rocket scientist-brain surgeon-pirate.
I think it would be a greater accomplishment for juan with his family background to finish school and be a hispanic political leader in texas. He already has a big name behind him and is well known and liked in texas and politics could do wonders for him.
A 3.0 at a satellite college??? LOL. He needs to stick to boxing, keep his hands up.
