Khan Prescott - WTF?! That's all that needs to be said about that.
Tyson McBride - Again, WTF?!
Most legends have those bad/pathetic losses at the end of their careers (Ali/ Louis were brutalized/humiliated)
Khan's loss to Prescott is one of the reasons he has fans, **** like that can happen to him at any time yet he still chose to fight aggressively for so long and it always keeps his fights interesting knowing they can end at any moment
its a fight that Khan has NOTHING to deserve. Let me ask you this, how in the world should he get his shot before Garcia? Please explain that to me, and notice how Khan isn't calling him out? The fastest road to a floyd fight for Amir is a return match victory over Garcia, that would give him credibility again, but he won't. What you sense is the truth.
Take a look at their records
Khan has beaten: Kotelink, Maidana, Malignaggi, Peterson*, Callazo (he's a WW and beat Ortiz)
Garcia beat: Khan, Matthyse* shot Morales twice, shot Judah
Garcia headbutted and low blowed his way to the close win over Mattyse, just imagine if his eye didn't close up from the butts
Garcia knocked Khan out, OUT. Thats it. Garcia is a more deserving challenger right now, so is Brook, and so is Thurman. Khan refuses to fight anyone that poses a true threat ever since Garcia pulled the plug on him. Garcia outboxed LM, hurt him, and knocked him down, you certainly have a weird perspective of that fight.
That's one good win
Like I said, Khan has more good wins
Besides we all know Khan would put up more of a fight, Garcia would lose 12-0
If you don't practice Ramadan you won't make a comment like that.
Ask someone who does practice it they would tell you the beauty of it.
How Ramadan be con? It is a religious month once a year. If it clashes with training, you have 11 months to compromise it with.
I mean it's a con because it makes him fight less often
As a fan, I resent him for that
Khan would win the first round, that I'm sure of
But khan got a glass chin doe. I agree Khan vs Mayweather is a competitive fight
Glass chin doesn't matter when the opponent has pillow fists
How much less often? it's only one month of a year. That could be off training time.
If not for Ramadan, he'd be fighting 3 times a year, that's why his rebuilding process has taken so long
Heart inside the ring should be a con. Khan should hold when he is hurt.
After seeing the Collazo fight, he probably will the next time he gets hurt
The heart thing was more to do with the end of the Garcia fight, he actually told Bayless he wanted to fight on
Nah. Most hated has to be Pac/Floyd/Broner.
Depends if we're talking ratios or total number of haters
Broner haters outnumbber his fans 10 to 1
Mayweather probably has the most toal haters due to being the most high profile, although Khan is is British, that does open the door to a whole 80million potential haters
Garcia had already started timing Khan with that hook from the second round. Khan has a good first round but Garcia had him worked out by the second round and it was just a matter of time.
It was a very well timed shot by Garcia. It's a complete myth that Khan was destroying him and it was a lucky shot. Garcia knew exactly what he was doing and delivered.
His win over Lucas was a good one. Anyone remember the Matthysse hype on here before their fight!?! People were saying he was the only threat to Floyd around those weights haha.
What was so great about the Matthysse win? All I saw was constant fouling in a pretty even fight until the headbutts started paying off
Khan still handed Danny the win, even if you look at it that way
his win over khan was a good win.
Khan and Matthysse.
Khan and Matthysse
Those are good boxers but Danny doesn't have good wins over them, they weren't even flukes
Khan beat himself
Matthyse got cheated
Which was my biggest fear.
There is one scenario though that could happen.
If Canelo beats Lara, it's quite possible he'll fight Cotto. Obviously would be a super fight. If Canelo wins, I think he officially stays at 160. I don't think he'd shy away from Golovkin, as Canelo has shown us recently he is willing to fight the best.
Worst case scenario is Floyd beats Cotto at like 155. Then rematched Canelo at a cw as well. That would be very annoying.
oh, I don't want Floyd getting a shot at the title and padding his legacy, he should've stepped up to fight Martinez instead of Maidana, if he fights Cotto it's be because he sees him as a soft touch
Canelo is quite ballsy (Lara is a good enough example) but GGG is HBO's pet project
I don't usually like Roy but he did have a good night tonight, his comments were much more insightful than the other guys
He's improving but the HBO team is **** in general
Lampley was putting him in his place all night, and Roy as usual would respond with his little chuckle. Roy provides great insight though,a hell of a lot more than Mr. Jim "Bang-Bang" Lampley. Roy knows his shyt, I listen to him more than the two other guys.
I love hearing George Foreman put Lampley in his place (Prince-Barrera & Gatti-Ward II fights)
Want to make a thread about how many turned up at his wedding? How an elderly woman down the Road knew who Khan was but not Froch?
Were these actual threads?
links?
He is married and has three daughters. I read that Hopkins is a practicing muslim and rejects alcohol, gambling and the night life. Thats probably the reason why he is so well off.
Saw ESPN 30 for 30 Broke
Athletes spend a lot on all sorts of ****, like jewellery and cars (multiples), these are just low level NFL guys
Hopkin is married man. I think he has a daughter too. Not every fighter wants their family all over TV.
That's surprising, I could do without seeing Tim Bradley's whale every fight
Made me think it was the standard
It makes me pretty certain that some of the stupid racial **** he says to hype fights is just that, to hype fights.
He literally says that's the case in the Kovalev post-fight
Gave respect to Jackson too
Keep something in mind OP, most people who have things will declare a personal residence. If that residence is substantial....Well I will use myself as an example, I have a place that I declare as a residence in San Francisco. If I sold that place tomorrow at around 2 million dollars when it was reassesed for property taxes that person would be paying around 2k a month in property taxes....In Jersey? or Maryland? that person? it would cost them more than twice as much....around 4k a month.
Lets imagine Hopkins place is worth more than mine....Prolly so!! Delaware has low property taxes and even Hopkins probably does not want to pay around 8k a month in property taxes....People do the same thing on the West coast. If you want a mansion? you go to Nevada and pay very little in taxes.
Also, keep in mind that inheritance taxes which are a patent rip off in Maryland are substantial! Delaware is starting to look pretty good about now you think?
Just because one declares their residence in a state does not mean they must live there. Hopkins can own property and live in Philly, me? I have a place in Baltimore. Hopkins probably has an apartment in Philly.
Its not happanstanz that the great Warren Buffet has as his residence, the place he grew up, a modest home in a working class neighborhood in Omaha Nebraska.
Make sense now?
I get ya

Amir Khan tells how David Cameron sorted his visa problems
When Amir Khan was denied entry to the United States last September, there was one man he immediately thought to call.
Luckily for him, British Prime Minister David Cameron was not too busy to pick up the phone to the Olympic silver medallist and former world champion.
"They told me my visa was refused and I couldn't get on the plane. I rang him and said I had a bit of a problem," Khan explained in The Times.
"He said 'hold on a minute', then he called me back and it was sorted."
Cameron's intervention allowed Khan to fly to Las Vegas to commentate on the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana.
And former light-welterweight world champion Khan says Cameron is not his only heavyweight political ally.
"I also met (former US secretary of state) Hillary Clinton in Washington and she asked me if I'd had problems, took my name and I haven't had problems since," Khan said.
pretty cool, I hear there are some Russia Muslim MMA fighters who struggle getting back into the US for title fights but the thought of Khan being on some kind of no fly list is
hilarious

They are not legitimate. UFC is a private corporation and they self-release their PPV numbers. It is the equivalent of Top Rank putting on their own PPVs and releasing their own PPV numbers. Would you believe Bob Arum?
It's a marketing gimmick.
but then why claim your heavyweight champ only does 300k and your flyweight 115k?
I was thinking the same thing
Is it that he just can't fight on the inside or that he's too scared to?
Anyway this Khan is elite
That said, Khan's constant holding and pushing is definitely over the top. I can't understand how he doesn't lose more points for it than he already does.
Remember Wlad-Povetikin?
Wlad held more often than he landed punches
0 points taken
Just depends on the ref, some see it as a legitimate part of the game
Floyd didn't get any warning or get called out by the commentators for holding to get out of the corner/against the ropes
Great performance but it was boring as hell.
Disagree
Even in the 12th round you know one punch can change it all for a guy like Khan
and the drama with the low blows and holding kept thing interesting too
Khan stopped Ortiz in the amateurs
So Khan is just as likely as Ortiz to win via KO
I'd rather see vs Garcia
Khan is elite at 140, he nothing at 147, the fight would be meaningless
Wouldn't mind seeing an upset
Bhop - champ at 50 would be cool too, might finally get that RESPECT, it's looks like a headline imo
His belt almost looks paper. Must've printed it out for the presser
I hope he loses it soon, beating enough can while holding a belt will almost make him look legit
at least he has enough class not to call out GGG
Being Bob Arum's *****
Being a hypocrite (takes about compassion and **** but is being a corrupt little bastard getting all his family into political office back home)
Weight draining opponents
Shane Mosley was a real WW. He also beat a real WW in Margarito.
Also, Mayweather has moved up multiple divisions so I don't see your point in criticizing him for fighting guys who have moved up as well.
Beating a LW who moved up to WW is not the same as beating a true WW
