Really enjoyed this fight. I had it 117-115 Stevenson. Both me and a pal scored it the same and can't ever argue with a 1 round swing either way from the judges.
My own view is if Jack hadn't of suffered that body shot in the 10th he may have nicked it. Given his lack of work in rounds 1 to 6. That body shot for me became crucial.
I need to see Froch KO'd once and for all. The smack the man talks is cringeworthy. Nothing the man has said about the first fight matches with what I remember seeing other than he mentions the ref stopped the fight.
Froch is a slow undynamic walk forward Brit fighter and if Groves shows any maturity in the second fight late on Frochs career is about to end properly.
Lmao excuses!
Andre Dirrell was making Froch look sloppy, making him miss typical boring Carl Frock fans.
And the really hard fact for Froch fans? Dirrell was an unconfident inexperienced opponent in Carls backyard. Fighting on the back foot seemingly a little nervous and he still made the Cobra look slow unrefined and amateurish.
Being a Brit, being at the mercy of Skysports and Boxnation I can tell you its the Britpack. Im sure you mustve heard our commentators and summarists at times when watching UK footage. If John Rawlings, Barry Mcguigan, Steve Bunce are not biased and home favouring then I am an all American.
Khan has his level of dellusion but for the creme de la creme our own Carl Frochs level of dellusion both from him and his humerous fan base takes the main prize. Now we get to hear him again rewriting history leading up to the Groves rematch. Already on day one of the signing he presented a version of fight 1 that can surely only exist inside Carl Frochs own imagination.
The casual fan is the blight of the purist across all sports networks unfortunately.
In F1 currently the casual morons have turned it into the Lewis Hamilton show, in Football all anyone cares about is Ronaldo and Messi, here in Boxing its the Mayweather Pac show. Ironically Im more intirgued by the Dirrell De Gale fight later this month from an actual Boxing fan point of view. That fight has mad potential.
But these fly by night fans who seem to be the only demograph that the TV stations present too seem to run sport these days. And in the UK the focus on epic drama in the build up is cringe worthy.
Pointless montage after pointless montage over epic middle Earth battle scores has worn your energy away by the time the fight comes around.
All day Ive heard casuals moaning that the fight wasnt worth staying up for...when a convo with any purist for five minutes wouldve warned them that what happened was highly probable.
Have to say...it may not be a wise thing to admit, although I suspect many purists agree, Im actually and have been more hyped for this fight than the 'SUPERFIGHT' 3 weeks ago.
This could be a skill filled thriller, I like both fighters style although a bigger fan of Dirrell.
Can not wait for this.
how is he different from Joe Calzaghe??
Seriously? Do folks still even mention this guys name in boxing circles? While your at it....there is your most over rated fighter of all time...see whilst Floyd goes close with a rabid Maidana Joe never even dreamed of fighting someone like that and incidently by 37 was snorting coke and talking bollocks on Boxnation
Calzaghe got a better resume.
Dominated his division and unified the titles.
Calzaghe beat guys like Kessler and Hopkins
Very subjective point that. Considering Calzaghe never beat Hopkins, maybe on paper but not in reality.
Also his resume doesnt so much impress me. A shot Jones, Peter Manfredo, Tocker Pudwell. Lacey turned out to be chuff. Byron Mitchell fights the only one that impressed me.
Apologies for the off topic.
Castillo stryggled with every good boxer he faced.....frankie randal, taylor, whitaker, ODLH, Tyszu.
Do I remember him putting the beats on Diego Corrales, until the ref slow counted a knockdown and then jumped in the moment Corrales looked at Castillo funny?
The rematch with Kovalev? And if yes, would he have had a chance to turn things around? It was a championship fight after all,

nah you can't be a fanboy of Floyd
everyone even the haters deep inside know Floyd is Boxing's greatest star in history. No one has made more money than him
It doesnt matter a jot how many naive casual fans this dude has made his money off, what impresses me more is skills and entertainment.
Floyd was great value up to a point, but pretty much all his fights since Hatton have been a dull waltz against past primes.
ur the one that's angry here bro :lol1:
u just can't accept that floyd got to greatness without peds, he was caught with a bit of saline not peds idiot
My god, I mean Ive seen fanboyism before, but you should be on the PBF payroll.
Is this Leonard Ellerbe?
For me the problem is the number of organisations and title belts, I mean surely we could do away with half of the organisations?
I prefer an ideal where the weights stay the same but have only two belts, WBC and IBF titles to fight for. That way we still get the odd unification bout and the titles would mean ALOT more.
WTF!! FIRST OMG!!
LMAO!!! OMG I am jumping around my room with the bottle of tequila I will chug down tomorrw night.
I am drinking it all right now lmao!!!
WAR PACQUIAO BABY!!! IT IS OVER IT IS OVER FOR THAT CLOWN MOTHER****ING PIECE OF **** COWARD! AHAH WE CAUGHT HIM!!!! HE got pressured into this fight lmao, he made the BIGGEST MISTAKE of his life. WE GOT HIM BABY!!! We got him trapped lmao.
WAR PACQUIAO BABY!!!!! PUT THAT ***** IN A CASKET!!! IT IS OVER!!! :boxing: :boxing: LEEETSSS GOOOOOO!!!
MAYWEATHER IS DEAD!!!! Hahaha Burn in HELLL Muthafukaaaa!!!!!
Oh dear lol
Is he a selfish prima donna who wants everything his own way?
Kovalev just fought Pascal in Montreal. Why can't Ward fight Froch in Nottingham?
LOL!!
Because the judges and refs over here are as corrupt as can humanly be possible.
I know you understand this really and are probably just talking smack....because if you were serious it would be proof that you do need help.
Congratulations to all you rednecks out there. Your great white hope is still "undefeated"...
If I were you. I'd call George Soros. I'm sure he had some kind of anti white slogan for you to chant at your next minority group meeting.
without the 19 low blows that he landed slappin soggy would have lost the fight
You see....this is my over riding memory. As someone who peeps Ward for having the smarts to always do whats neccsary. But he was down on everyones card until the low blows took over.
Granted he staggered Kov with that big right. But I founs this even more controversial than the first fight. I think Tony Weeks had an absolute nightmare if honest.
Lol robbery?
GGG won clear. Close? Yeah but ggg won clear
What good are opinions when some idiot can just casually write B.S. like this, then disappear into the sunset.
Joshua is fighting Klitschko next, and already has a resume greater than Wilder.
Come on, be SERIOUS. Don't accuse people of swerving Wilder when the guy has built his entire career on cans.
Is it any coincidence that Joshuas next opponent, is a gun shy, glass chinned past his prime old man?
It's the usual UK hype fix. When Joshua stops Wlad (and I hope and pray Wlad just lands one right hand bomb) the Hearn clan and sky TV will reach unprecedented levels of jingoism and group masturbation
Blame Pacquiao for that. Floyd had agreed to everything years before...including a 50/50 purse split, ring size, and a coming-in-over-the-weight penalty.
But Pac walked away from all of it simply because he didn't want to do drug testing.
The same drug testing that he would later demand of his own opponents. :lol1:
Was this the kind if drug tests where Paq had to drain 90% of his blood supply an hour before the fight?
Get outta here fanboy, the final fight of Floyds career sums his career up beautifully.
hmm...lets see...pikey heritage! they are thieves, robbers, dirty, tax dodgers who genrally live in poverty stricken houses and rarely seen in caravans these days but those that do..are utter filth. ask ANY law abiding member of british society you fackin idiot. bitter? lol yeah..sure..
butthurt...a little because i aint had a pony yet but, it will no doubt press the ole cloth soon. are you saying the diddycoy is some kind of "ali" or "mike tyson"? pmsl...oh and i guess your one of these "chavvies" who sees gypos as heroes! haha! you must be from crawley....hahahahahahhahahahahahahaha!

Aqueer Queen Khan't. LOL.
Really? And to make matters worse you actually had the balls to laugh at your own joke? Best get some sleep at night chap.
I absolutely can not wait to see the shock on Kell Brooks face when he realises he is actually in the ring with someone who can box.
its the gobbing off that beating a really cr4p heavyweight that will be irritating until he meets either david haye or deontay wilder. watch the pikey avoid these two like the plague.
Funny, I remember David Haye (Who has beaten nobody of note in his whole career) running like his life depended on it twice from Mr Fury.
Might just be my memory though :buttkick:
Why do you care about what they're earning or food being taken from Hearn's mouth? - He sure wouldn't think twice about taking yours.
This is the problem with boxing. Fans should remember they are the ones that put money into the sport. Promoters are only playing with money that comes from paying customers. Fans should be demanding the best fights get made at all costs, rather than taking sides of promoters and justifying things.
Only sensible post on this thread. At the end of the day you need the WBC title to make this hype trains legacy legit. It's a more lucrative title than any of the plastic straps round Joshua's waist.
If you want the lucrative undisputed title then get your wallet out and pay for it. Of not go back to charging idiots 20 quid a pop for mismatches.
