I'm not talking normal fans of these guys, but the really out there one's who just spew random crap on the daily.
Mayweather
Pacquiao
Cotto
Marquez
Klitschko Bro's
UK Boxing (Froch, Hatton, Haye, Khan, etc)
Nostalgiasts. Its embarrassing to be a boxing fan sometimes. Every other sport most fans generally accept that progress happens in sports. Progress is quantifiable in numerous ways and impossible to rationally attack. Boxing has a ton of delusional idiot "fans" who think various fighters who fought 50 years ago would stand a chance against top modern fighters. Its embarrassing as a fan of boxing that boxing fans on average are probably the least intelligent fans of any sport on the planet.
What's really funny about this post is that Bernard Hopkins has been fighting for like 50 years and is still beating top modern fighters.
What is the difference between Frazier and Peter, really?
Skill, talent, wins, you know, the stuff that determines how good a fighter is?
Thanks for proving my point, BTW.
Its very rare where i've enjoyed a Floyd fight and thats when he utterly embarassed Canelo, after many including myself thought he would dodge that fight.
But this is the man who will always wait to dip his toes in first to see if the water is cold. And not go head first cannon ball into a fight.
For his fans, to call him a gladiator/warrior is embarassing. He is great but he is not that. He is though a survivor/adapter. So floyd fans stop acting like he is the baddest man in boxing when hes not. hes the best but not the baddest
I think the most delusional element of Floyd fans is that they somehow think bragging about HIS wealth or success somehow transfers onto them as if being his disciple will yield some sort of godly reward. To like or blindly support a boxer basically SIMPLY based on the fact he 'makes money' and is undefeated is a ridiculous and ignorant element of such fans who don't really have much boxing knowledge on the whole and warrant most of the ridicule they get.
There you have it. Floyd's fans are leading by close to 50%. And no...Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum has nothing to do with this poll. I don't want to start saying bad things but you already know what kind of fans Floyd got. Makes you wish you own an ak47.
there really shouldnt even be a debate about this.
its the fanbase that has actually shot and stabbed people to death for their boyfriend/boxer.
the poll results let you know which fanbase just in case you dont already know.
there's even an actual member on this site that threatened to kill a famous rapper on social media for just not being friends with their favorite boxer anymore.
that's what you call hard work and dedication.
Being a Brit, being at the mercy of Skysports and Boxnation I can tell you its the Britpack. Im sure you mustve heard our commentators and summarists at times when watching UK footage. If John Rawlings, Barry Mcguigan, Steve Bunce are not biased and home favouring then I am an all American.
Khan has his level of dellusion but for the creme de la creme our own Carl Frochs level of dellusion both from him and his humerous fan base takes the main prize. Now we get to hear him again rewriting history leading up to the Groves rematch. Already on day one of the signing he presented a version of fight 1 that can surely only exist inside Carl Frochs own imagination.
You aren't British. Your Agenda is Clear. AND if you are British, you are an alt ( Clearly ) of Some Ginger Boy Troll like FrankieBruno.
Yeah the Brit option could be split up. I mean the Khan/Brook, Froch/Groves (ect) fans have different views from eachother.
Anyway, the answer is clearly Mayweather :)
It's not about the fighters. It's about the fans. You know, the fans who say they are the greatest heavyweights ever and Sam Peter is better than Joe Frazier, or that Muhammad Ali was a 180 pound cruiserweight.
What is the difference between Frazier and Peter, really?
