Headbutts left, right and centre.
Should have had a few warnings and probably a point off.
But it ain't up to Ward to ref the fight.
It's up to the ref to stop the dirty tactics, not the fighters.
Aye it's a shame really.
He does look like quite a good fighter, he'll now probably get chucked in against someone a little to experienced for him and it will show.
Then those same people that love him now, will be the same people rating him just another hype job.
I dont get this being knocked down argument.
If you take away floyd I'm struggling to think of some boxers that havent been knocked down.
Knocked down 4 times, got up 4 times. Won all 4 of the fights. As far as I'm concerned its a dud arguement.
Anyways back to the main point, all time great. I think an undefeated record probably guaranties that.
And what's the deal with mostly fighting at home. Most American boxer rarely if ever leave the US either?
Personally I think the same arguement could apply for nearly every sport.
I think causal fans like to see Goals, KO's, Touchdowns whatever (and obviously so do the die hard fans)
But true fans of the sport will appreciate the skill, tactics and discipline that go in to closing down a team/oppontent.
I've always been a fan of good tactics and turing someones strengths against them regardless of the sport.
But at the end of the day its each to their own.
I'd pay to watch it, but (luckly for me & many others) I very very much doubt that this would make PPV in the UK.
But if the fight does happen I would love to see how many camera's they squeeze into the Margarito dressing room while he has his hands wrap.
If Haye actually does choose to fight Harrison I will lose all respect for him.
If Haye can't get a fight with one of the Klitschko's then I can somewhat understand fighting another Brit as it would make for a bigger PPV opportunity in the UK. But for me there really is only one half decent British Heavy out there, and thats Derek 'Del Boy' Chisora.
I might consider paying to watch that. As for paying to watch Fraudly, you gotta be joking.
Great news Fraudly should never be giving the chance to fight for a world title.
If it isn't one of the Wlad or Vitali (which it wont) then it has to be Tomasz Adamek.
I think Haye has that great combo of power and speed, so you just see those big shots coming.
But I'd still say Wlad is naturally very heavy handed and probably hits with more power.
High pressure fighter against a smart slick fighter.
Perfect clash of styles.
Sadly tho I think JMM is a little too old to keep up with the kind of pressure Katsidis will put him under.
I must admit I'm a Lederman fan.
Apart from on a few occasions I think he calls the fight how I see it.
But the Alexander/Kotelnik I can only assume he fell alseep after round 2 coz he just wasn't gonna give Kotelnik credit of anything.
'Clean and effective punching' is what he always says (and did about 8 times that fight). And the majority of the clean shots were from Kotelnik.
Incredible how Lederman could only have given him two rounds.
Still unbeaten record.
Multiple titles in different divisions.
Top end of the P4P list for many years.
If that doesn't get you to being an all time great then there is something very wrong with the world.
And what Pac has to do with anything on this treat is beyond me.
Well I think like you say the problem lies with the top journos being american.
They see these fighters from fight 1, so they can see the fighters develop and start to get a liking for them.
Hence there going to favour them over say some of the european, who they may have only seen a handful of fights.
Well I think some of you missed the point I was trying to make.
I know Pascal won, I just watched it, I wasn't arguing that.
The point I was trying to make was that alot of round Pascal won, he won not because he was landing good clean punches, or bossing the ring. But simply because Dawson wasn't just following him around and watching him, instead of throwing the jab at him.
Now maybe it did just go to show that Dawson isn't ready to be considered in the top p4p rankings, where he wants to be.
Although I still stand by my comment that in a rematch I think Dawson wont make the same mistake again (and if he does he really is as rubbish as alot of you claim).
Funny that I was actually thinking the same thing.
But I think it comes down to the fact hair is basically to insulate us, so I can only assume they shave body hair to keep themselves cooler.
Froch has the better resume.
I dont see why they didnt fight. This could of made big money if promoted well.
He does????
Froch has Taylor thats about it, and of course a defeat to Kessler.
And the simple reason the fight never happen was while Joe was fighting big money world title fights. Froch was still fighting nobodies at home.
Froch (conveniently) stepped up to world level just as soon as Joe was retiring.
To be honest the bum's a moron for not taking it.
It's not like he's asking the guy to do anything that difficult. Get up and walk away.
Wow I wish someone would give me a 100 bucks to f**k off.
And this deal with the empty food bags.
What so as soon as the guys from HBO cut the camera's they just disappeared into thin air, I'm pretty sure if there was some scandal about to go down those camera's woulda been back on quicker than you could knock out Amir Khan.
RED K this TS spammer ass!
Floyd is such a great boxer that he got outboxed by Castillo.
bwahahahahahahahahaha
I'm guessing you've not seen the second fight, that was a utter schooling.
Floyd is the best boxer of his generation.
If he could have carried the power he had at the lighter weights up to where he is now (much like pac has done) then he'd be a monster and without a doubt be the GOAT.
bwahahahahaha you didnt even whatch that fight
115-113 115-113 116-112 on scorecards is schooling?
and Lederman also had 115-113
Castillo>>>Floyd!
As much as I love Lederman he does get one or two wrong. That fight being one of them. I agree the first fight was close.
But I was more talking about the re-match a few months later.
That scorecards are from rematch!
Really.
Well then I take it all back, I clearly had one too many that night.
But I kinda remember it being nearer to the 116-112 than 115-113.
But thats probably why I'm not a judge.
Right well coz I felt like a right fool for a minute there i went back and watched the fight again.
And apart from 4 rounds (2 of which were quite close) it was all Mayweather.
Yea he won his share of close rounds, but he dominated a few of them too.
I had it 8 rounds to 4.
SCHOOLED. =P
I'm going De La Hoya.
I've said it before (and I'll probably say it again, many times).
He was a good fighter, but people talk about him as if he's one of the all time greats.
