Will You Boycott Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito?

looks like majority of boxingscene posters will buy it. flomos are not convincing enough to sway people from buying. maybe the "margo does not deserve a big payday" is not really effective. i think boxing fans are more concerned about getting an entertaining fight more than they care about margo's alleged offenses. besides, a fighter who promises an exciting fight as part of his pre-fight hype that turns out to be boring is cheating cunt too so why not go for 2 fighters who are expected to duke it out in the ring.

It'll probably be Sky Sports One unless Haye fights earlier in the evening in which case they'll make it a two in one Box Office deal like they did with Khan v (someone) and Pac v Oscar. That was a truly great night of boxing. Froch-Pascal, Lopez-someone, Ortiz-Resto and Pacquiao-De La Hoya. Just had a good vibe to it overall (probably because my situation were better back then...)

watching it on stream. i usually buy ppv but marg doesn't deserve a payday and manny deserves to get slammed with this to understand he must consider his fans based on his own morale as well. he needs to say f*ck the cheater. though i think he cares about getting the most of his money to help pay and help his province

NO ONE BUY THIS FIGHT. its just really horrible and contributes to the demise of the sport. Promoters put these fights on because they think fans are stupid.

I boycott ppv's because they are rarely worthy but this fight. But this matchup isn't the reason why.

I'd pay to watch it, but (luckly for me & many others) I very very much doubt that this would make PPV in the UK. But if the fight does happen I would love to see how many camera's they squeeze into the Margarito dressing room while he has his hands wrap.

If this fight is big, then it'll be 100% official that the fans are ruining boxing. There are several things wrong with that fight. First, and most importantly, Margarito should never fight again. If you were a serious boxing fan, you wouldn't ever give a guy that tried to use loaded gloves a payday. It's that simple. By watching him fight, especially paying for it, you're disrespecting the sport. Second, the whole vacant 154 lb title is completely bogus. If we want to complain about paper champions, then no one should support this. Neither guy should be considered a contender at 154 lbs, so why should either of them be able to fight for a title in that division, especially without fighting a ranked contender. I hope this isn't on the table anymore.

On a radio show recently a caller said that if Pacquiao vs Margarito gets made, they'd deliberately avoid watching the bout because of Margarito's thwarted attempts to use loaded gloves against Shane Mosley. As a result of being caught, Margarito was temporarily suspended from the sport of boxing and speculation grew concerning how many of his previous fights had he got away with cheating. Many believe that Margarito cheated against Cotto due to the manner in which the fight unfolded and Cotto's facial condition after the fight. Although he still remains suspended in the United States, the proposed Pacquiao vs Margarito fight would apparently be in a different location, thereby circumnavigating the suspension. If Pacquiao vs Margarito gets made, is it a fight that you would avoid watching (or boycott) solely due to Margarito's involvement in the bout? Perhaps you'd only consider watching it for free over the internet or would you in fact be happy to pay to watch the fight? Fortunately for us uk brethrens, it shall be free. Bring it on haha
