I know it's an old thread, but just wanted to keep it alive. Right now as far as amateur prospects I'm looking at future 2012 Olympian Pedro Sosa 141lbs & Gary Allan Russell III 141lbs who just won the national golden gloves. Pro prospects I'm looking at a relatively unknown but interesting prospect named Mercito "No Mercy" Gesta 135lbs who Freddie Roach says is a serious prospect and might train him in the future. Man, it seems like the jr welter and welter divisions are gonna keep cropping talent for some time. It's the mecca divisions of the sport right now. Other prospects I just came across are Luis Valero, younger bro of the late Valero.
Well I consider amateur boxers prospects as well so with that said I like Pedro Sosa and Rau'shee Warren.
Reason I feel they are prospects is because a lot of amateurs are getting better experience as fighters than some young pro fighters who are basically fighting a bunch of bums and tailor made opponents. Also at any moment some of these top guys can turn pro and often come in with as much or even more ring experience than other young fighters.
jose benavidez,frankie gomez,Saul alvarez,Mike jones,Matt korobov.
Those are my faves going right now. and Gary Russell Jr. really impressed me last night
Lenroy Thompson. I saw him fight at the golden gloves regionals and he was by far the most talented kid there. I hope he goes pro and finds a trainer to take him to the next level.

Some legal dispute with his original promoters and Don King..
I don't understand why ANYBODY would want to sign with Don King this day in age..smh
i remember he fought on espn2 havent seen him since
Lol..beat me to it..I don't get why he's with King..I hope it doesn't ruin his career..but like you said..most likely it will
Yeah bro, king always keeps his fighters inactive.A young fighter like james
needs to keep active. Its been 7 months since his last fight.
The one i know the most is David Lemieux (23 W, 0 L, 0 D with 22 KO) impressive power, serious about boxing (21 years old), already ranked 6 and 5 from WBC and WBA in the MW division... I also think that Pirog and Jacobs are good ones. MW division is in good shape !
Oh yeah Lemiuex's power is completely insane. He's already one of the hardest punchers P4P in the sport right now IMO.
