i think kats can do it now. his defense has improved and jmm isn't getting any younger. whatever happens, i think if katsidis does get the win the old guy will make him look like hell for it.

Katsidis SD. He can do it, but would he receive any credit for beating an "old man"? he should. The "old man" is still the best lightweight in the world and showed that he had plenty left in the tank against Diaz.

This is the fight I wanted to see. The two best Lightweights going at it. Khan needs to man up now and beat Maidana or Ortiz.

Yeah thats a fair assesment man but one thing is if Kats is landing like Diaz was JMM wont be in there long enough to get his timeing down, Micheal is 3x the puncher Diaz is. Still i think ur more than likely right Marquez TKO win It's just a case of one fighter being on a higher level. Katsidis would definitely be game, and definitely have a good chance, but I'd be surprised if he won.

Katsidis is a star, Juan Manuel Marquez is ELITE. He will show this in a FOTY candidate.

Marquez stops him, probably in the mid-rounds if the fight gets made. Katsidis is very strong and brings it every time, but his defense is poor and his chin as Casamayor demonstrated is far from uncheckable. The consistent, precision counter-punching of Marquez will be too much for Katsidis.

Marquez,because anywhere his weight class & not miles above it,his technical skills are still probably the best in boxing,his power is good & he's world class!!I'm happy this fight happens & I expect fireworks because Katsidis is a hellova fighter too!!

Who cares , and what would it mean if Katsidis "upsets" the corpse of Marquez ? Is it really a big money fight for Marquez or is it just a stay busy fight for him. At his age and after all of what he went through in his career he should retire. I could understand if he had a shot at Pacquiao . He should fight Morales or Barera who are as spent as he is and then retire or just retire . At his age he is only going to take even more punishment in each individual fight than what he took when he was younger which was still enough to damage him. Well it's better that he fights Kats than Golden Boy feeding him to Amir Khan

Katsidis/Marquez is a very good fight. I think GBP might be playing games with Marquez/Khan. That fight was on before and provided Khan with high profile publicity and provided cover to not look like a ducker in getting out of the Maidana fight. I think the same thing may be going here with Khan waiting for the Marquez/Diaz result. That provided perfect cover for not taking on a real challenge. Once the Marquez/Khan fight falls through the opportunity for a safe opponent to be slotted in as a replacement is presented. Katsidis/Marquez is a better fight where size is not going to be such a big factor.
