Here's my take. I see GGG jabbing and boxing more. Keeping his distance and trying to make Canelo pay for jumping in. Canelo trying to make it a war, in the middle of the ring flat footed throwing for the fences.
Canelo starts to get frustrated and gassing around round 10. Desperately wants GGG to fight "Mexican style", while GGG is content to keep jabbing from range.
Goes the distance, this time GGG getting the nod, with Canelo complaining that he won.
I never gave a damn about the color of a fighter's skin color until people like Dontae Williams and Larryxxx wouldn't stop making race an issue...... they claim they are "fighting racism", but in reality:
1). They are often far more biased then the people who they claim are racist
2). They're the ones who keep bringing race into boxing discussions
3). Now they claim anyone who doesn't support black fighters are racist and DKSAB and are "DCAF"s.... WTF?
Honestly I'm sick of it. I'm half white half japanese and my favorite fighter of all time is Tyson, and second favorite is Ali. I was not a fan of Floyd Mayweather's approach to the sport because I feel boxing should be about entertainment, not "health comes first" and "money", and I also feel his career is overrated.
But that makes me a RACIST???? Wow....... Listen up douchebags, if a fighter has no shame about acting like an ass outside the ring and doesn't put on exciting fights in the ring, people are not going to like him, period. Now if you have a guy like Anthony Joshua who KOs guys and yet remains respectful, people (including me) are going to love him, period. It has nothing to do with race. It's called human nature.
People who keep bringing race and nationality into boxing are either racists themselves or extremely insecure and think that when a fighter of their race wins it somehow makes them superior. It's pathetic, it's childish, and it shows that you have a lot of self-pity. Stop crying racism every time someone doesn't like a fighter you like. The same goes for the other side, but it's usually people like Dontae who start the divide.
People like Dontaesboxingnation and Larry obviously have deep issues with racism and self-image in real life. Hey, we all have issues but don't bring that into boxing and then call yourself a true boxing fan. If you're a true boxing fan, then enjoy the sport and leave all that other sh1t out the door.
Most people don't even fvcking notice a fighter's race until you guys keep making it an issue.
Btw, I think Ward beats Kovalev.
Welcome to Boxingscene.
It was a good win for Canelo.
Kirkland is a handful for any JRMW, sure he's kind of chinny, but the kid can bang and he's going to be in your face the whole fight.
Canelo showed poise and stood in there and knocked him the fuk out.
GGG puts Canelo to sleep within 5 rounds and people having to nothing say afterwards but "Ward doe?"
I can't see Canelo winning any rounds or landing anything significant. He fought a small welterweight and looked like sh1t until the last punch he landed.
Stop it man, you're making too much sense!
Didn't you see that punch, it would of KO'd Hagler.
Wow!
Canelo KO's Khan and now he can stop GGG.:lol1:
This site is too much, hard to talk when people are for real or serious.
GGG punished Canelo till his corner throws in the towel in the 9th.
I honestly feel that journalist like Chris are a rare breed these days. He covers other sports like a true professional as he does boxing. Reading some of these solely boxing writers who seem to have come straight from a blog, just don't measure. Like they don't pay the dues to be a part of a real journalist. Instead they make.friends in the industry and bash on everyone outside of that. Just a mean girls club masquerading as writers demanding thier.press passes.
Agreed. Most boxing reporters now, are sh1t.
Any websites need a uninformed, biased, a55 kisser?
I'd really like some press passes if Pac/Floyd happens.
So say in a couple weeks a boxer moves around a lot in the beginning of a fight, while the other guy lands a hard punch now and then and complains that the other guy won't fight.
Then the guy boxing starts walking down and busting the guy up in the second half of the fight.
The guy that was putting the ineffective aggression on the other guy should win the fight because the other guy was running and didn't do enough...right?
That's the real problem. If you don't cater or pander to a certain group, people don't read you. But there are some very fair journalists out there -- even on this website, actually.
Jake Donovan is excellent.
Well opinion may be one thing. And you may be right -- I haven't read too many opinion pieces from him so I can't comment. That does surprise me though. But without question, he is the best "Fight Report" journalist in boxing today. I don't think it's close.
Sorry wrong guy I was thinking of Lyle Fitzsimmons
That interviewer asked him some tough questions. Wish there was more follow-up but I love the candor. You can see where Espinoza is being diplomatic and where he's being candid.
Read the interview earlier today and thought the same thing.
When the interviewer actual knows the sport and isn't afraid to ask the questions, you can really get some great info.
WTF is up with this site.
The first fight two guys stared at each other for twelve rounds and people said it deserves a rematch because it was filled with tension.
This fight Ped is clowning and turned Garcia face to shat and people say he's running.:killyou:
he was everyones hope when he faced mayweather, there were guys on here swearing he was gonna stop floyd or make floyd quit on his stool.....he was the WBC interim Champ and ranked #3 Welterweight by Ring at the time, its just when floyd beats the guys who are held in high regard so easy, the same people talk down about them like they were nothing............But before they monsters. Floyd destroys what people think of fighters by showing his skill and people hate to give floyd credit. They say he paid the ref, judges, commentators, and even the fighters. They never want to admit he's a great one and even when he outclasses pac, they will have an excuse. it was his resume, then they found out that he fought more world champions than anyone in history, they shut up about that. Now its about the 8oz gloves that Maidana didnt wear during there first fight, but he let him wear them during the second fight and beat him worse....He wont lose until he comes outta retirement to face the then current champ.:poke:
Who ever thought that is an idiot.
LOL, I'll gladly take it. Manny doesn't land 200.
Sounds good, sig it.
I feel he's got to land that much to win, so it's pretty much a Pac wins bet for me.
Can we agree it has to go 12 for the bet to count. Win or lose Manny had to land 200 punches.
May the best man win.:boxing:
A little bit of everything but I expect him to avoid standing within mid range, he'll either operate from too far out or get close enough to work Manny on the inside/ clinches.
I can see Floyd's best work being on the inside. Manny inside game is decent at best.
Decision, KO, close, easy work?
Any thoughts on Pac's sparring partners so far.
Kenneth Sims JR
Rashidi Ellis
Both throw a fast straight right and have some hand speed.
But their defense and footwork is lacking.
