2014 fights you picked terribly wrong

My worst prediction (without looking through every fight last year) was Froch vs Groves II. I put way too much stock in the first fight. Wembley was great, though! I thought Cotto had at least an even shout to beat Martinez, due to both the style mix and Martinez being past his best. Didn't imagine Cotto would win so easily, though!

I picked Porter to beat Brook Glad I was wrong.

brook-porter was the worst of the bunch, i guess. i thought brook was gonna get rag-dolled i'm quite happy that i not only picked kovalev-hopkins correctly but also called the manner of victory

I picked Porter by decision, even though Brook is my guy, I must've got caught up in the Porter hype and read too much in to his win against paulie. I try and remain objective and not blindly think my fav fighter will win regardless of opponent. I felt a bit of cunt for going against him afterwards.

Froch-Groves II: I thought he would be a bit more aggressive than he was to take something out of Froch in the later rounds Canelo-Lara: I thought Lara won 7-5 but I knew Canelo would get it if it was close.

The only two big ones I can think of are Kovalev-Hopkins, I vastly underrated Kovalev's boxing ability. Porter/Brook I also called wrong.

I think it's unanimous... martinez/cotto had us all like O.O;

The main one is Martinez/Cotto, as Sergio got WRECKED in that one. I got Froch/Groves 2 wrong, and Froch laid him flat. Groves still hasn't fully recovered from that imo. I also got Porter/Brook wrong, picked Porter by decision. I'm sure I got more wrong lol

Pretty much everyone got it wrong on Porter-Brook. Most people on NSB thought Brook was getting KTFO. This^^^^. I just thought Brook was gonna be one of those guys that when he finally stepped up he'd lose due to his level of comp.

I picked Hopkins over Kovalev. That wasn't as foolish as it seems. But, hey, I was the only person I know of who picked Algieri over Ruslan

I said Martinez v Cotto was a mismatch.

some of you guys posts reminded me of more that I got horribly wrong Martinez to stop Cotto Provodnikov to beat the piss out of Algieri Porter to stop Brook Hopkins UD over Kovalev I picked Lara to beat Canelo but I actually scored it for Canelo bad year for me

Martinez over Cotto :frown: Same! I thought martinez even had a chance at stopping him lol although I did say it was all down to how well Martinez's knee recovered. I also picked Devon over Khan. Other than that, not too many I can think of.

three that i can think of off the top of my head: 1) martinez/cotto :crying::crying: i picked martinez to stop cotto late or win a clear decision. 2) i picked provodnikov to stop algieri 3) i also picked porter to stop brook late, haha.

Korobov over Lee:loser: +1 I had a bad weekend when Khan won, that was the only one I called correctly.

I can't think of one off the top of my head. There was no Garcia/Matthysse for me last year. I did pick Martinez, but I also said since the day it was announced that it was very possible Martinez would be shot and lose. I picked Cleverly by a wide decision over Bellew and the opposite happened. I picked Maidana by KO in the rematch but I knew I was just going off the wall for that. I had a pretty good year. Besides Cotto/Martinez, I think Brook/Porter was the Garcia/Matthysse of 2014. I got that one right.
