I think not. Crawford will be undersized at 154.
How many times does this line of thinking need to be disproven for people to stop saying it? Countless examples of skill being the determining factor over size and we continue to underestimate elite fighters. Manny was supposed to be undersized for Oscar, Floyd was supposed to be undersized for everyone at 147 and above, Roy was supposed to be undersized for heavyweight. I can go on and on these are just the obvious ones. Crawford is elite, Madrimov will need alot more than just a size advantage to win.
If you've been to Mexico especially Guadalajara his hometown a lot of white complexion Mexicans there not uncommon at all unless you believe the idiotic US media which makes you think all Mexicans only look one way.
All the Mexicans who jump the border look the same way. Don't need the media to tell you that, just eyes.
Life and death? Lmao what fight were you watching? Canelo will duck Beterbiev because he knows he's going to sleep in that fight. After Bivol embarrassed him he's going back to fighting welters.
I've noticed usually when the guy goes down like that and the ref calls it because it looks like he's out for the count they call it a KO. It's a little different from the ref stepping in between them to stop it.
As pointed out by MulaKO above fight thread are typically posted up on the MOnday (or sometimes Tuesday) of fight week, however I will be making efforts to work up a rough schedule for the month ahead a week or so before the beginning of each month which will be posted up on the Masterthread when I get round to putting it up (probably early next week).
If you want to get an idea of what's likely to be in for yourself you can go on the Boxrec schedule page and do a search refined by '4 star+' and 'Pro Boxing' and look for Male full title fights in that list. Most of the ones we pick are likely to fit those criteria. If there's an exceptional female fight on - like for undisputed - we may include it but generally we set the bar pretty high on the women's fights. Conversely if there's a particularly tasty men's match that isn't a title fight we may include it - and almost certainly will if both fighters are within the TBRB or RING top 10 for their division.
And good to have you with us man, hope you enjoy it. Loving your username.. :lol1:
I'll definitely be doing that to try and get an idea of what's ahead. Thanks man I'm excited to be part of it even if I do terrible, sounds like a lot of fun. Loll don't know why but that was the first thing to pop in my head for a username, an iconic moment in film for sure.
Absolutely not, Thurman has one foot out of the game already, I have no interest in watching Spence fight a semi retired fighter at a catch weight. Im not even sure I'm curious enough to stream it, I'll just wait until it gets posted online to watch it. The only guy I'm paying to watch Spence fight right now is Crawford.
Boxing has always had ups and downs. When the sport develops the next generation of stars and we start seeing good fights people will come out of the woodwork like they always do. This literally happens like every 10-15 years, you must be a really young fan or you're so old your memory is shot.
It also reminds me of the mythical Iran Barkley, cuts on both eyes, muttering "I ain't got time to bleed" to his seconds just before knocking Thomas Hearns out :lol1:
Welcome, then!
:lol1: of course who could forget that?
For a little while there it was looking like the heavyweight division was going to go through a golden era. Somehow it has immediately turned into a huge joke instead.
That's the thing, right there. Busy!
Wilder would be well served taking a faily safe but valid interim fight this summer.
Solid competitors could be Frank Sanchez, Simon Kean, Otto Wallin, Joseph Parker, Andy Ruiz Jr, Kubrat Pulev, Jarrell Miller, Alexis Barrriere, Agit Kabayel, Jermaine Franklin, Stephen Shaw, Charles Martin, Bakhodir Jalolov, Demsey McKean, Trevor Bryan, Mahmoud Charr, Evgeny Romanov, Jonathan Guidry, or even Boxing-based MMA legend Francis Ngannou for an easy workout for big money.
December in Saudi Arabia is likely Wilder 43-2-1 (42) vs. Joshua 25-3-0 (22).
After Wilder makes quick work of Joshua, he will likely be in position to call the shots. That should include winning a few loose title belts again.
In that same time frame, World Champion Tyson Fury will easily take out the untested Oleksandr Usyk and lift whatever costume belts that have not been stripped from Usyk by that time, and because Fury has fought Wilder 3 times already, Fury might opt to retire as an undisputed champion, or match against Zhilei Zhang in China for hundreds of millions before calling it a day.
This is the most likely way that it plays out at Heavyweight.
How will Fury retire as undisputed champion if Wilder has picked up loose titles?
Last week we got to witness the 2 best fighters in the planet, Crawford and Inuoe. Now this mediocre circuis act. Boxingscene.com please post real boxing.
Between this and Fury/Ngannou the sport of boxing has officially turned into a circus act.
Interesting.
Tyson Fury lands more punches according to Compubox, NSB says he lost.
Yet when Manny Pacquiao landed less punches against Floyd according to that same Compubox, NSB said he won and Compubox is corrupt.
You just can't make it up.
If you think total punches landed determines the winner you should stop watching the sport because you don't understand it.
