He's slurry his words much slower than I've seen him and he looks like he wants to fall asleep during every interview. He's going into this fight drained.
I wonder if they will post how much they weigh before they go into the ring.
I’d like to know, but that isn’t happening! Thank Floyd and Nelo for this. No more fight night weights, especially on a PBC card. I’ve only seen ESPN do it a very few times in the last few years :boxing:
He looks around 158-160lbs right now. He’s still sweating easily so that’s a good sign. But I still think come the weigh in, he might look a bit like Devin Haney and be pretty weak. But he has a mesomorph body type, so he’ll rehydrate very nicely. On fight night he will be 165-170lbs easily without being sluggish. It’s no secret he should’ve been moved up, but for what the situation is…he’s looking good from my expert opinion.
It's well known that cutting lots of weight can have a bad effect on a fighter's punch resistance. With help from a nutritionist, they can look and feel great in pre-fight workouts, but everything changes when they start taking punches.
I'm not saying that will happen with Spence, we won't know till fight night. But the older a fighter gets, the more likely it becomes that cutting weight = cutting punch resistance.
I think it’s somewhere in the middle.
He is in tremendous shape, no doubt. He’s put a ton of work in.
That said, I would bet this is his last fight at 147. He looks to me like its time to go to 154.

Bud looked great the day before as well, both look ready to go
And this is the end of the last week of the grind, right before peaking so they are generally a bit flat right now.

This is so ridiculous; honestly, some of you read so much bs from nothing.
