no, its what's making the sport worse. we don't need wannabe tough guys trying to analyse boxing yet talking out their asses at the same time. we dont need people trying to act as if they know everything about the sport in a short period of time that they've watched it, yet at the same time making a fool out of themselves and getting small facts wrong. we dont need people huffing and puffing, mocking our beloved sport and putting it down. we have a rich history that no other sport in the world has had. this is a sport that has withstood the test of time but people are trying to break that, they are trying to defy that unconditional bond.
you see the problem started years ago when the real boxing analysts, the real boxing fans, the real experts had enough and walked out on our sport. when the status quo, sitting at the top of the corporation with their millions, decided to introduce corruption into the sport.
this is the real problem.
not casual fans tainting our sport.
this is boxing, a test of power, prestige and mental strength. two guys fighting each other toe to toe, battling for supremacy. there are only 2 people that every mother****er sitting on this planet has ever head of. who are they?
mike tyson and muhammad ali.
from a little kid sitting in a classroom in the middle east, to an african man growing his crops on a blood field. two of the MOST iconic figures ever in the history of this planet and they have come from OUR sport.
that my friend, is boxing.
so please do an honourable thing young buck, pack your bags and get the **** outta here. because in 20 years time when another muhammad ali comes along, i will stand up and say, 'i was there through the tough times and stuck by my sport, even when others didnt'.
peace out.
Overreacting much?
I thought it was pretty silly, Mosley spending a minute punching away at a tiny ball which can't hit back, and the fat guy with the chin standing there with a towel in case it needs to be flapd, and taking a small bottle of water from another guy to give Mosley a drink he doesn't need ..................... I wonder why he needed a grown man to carry about 8 ounces of water?? Most PR stuff is pure crap. Richardson looked as if he was looking for bandages to condemn....
The bold pretty much sums up every piece of boxing equipment, they each have its intended purpose though. If anything, the double end bag is one of the few pieces that actual mimic striking back. Someone already posted the intended purpose of a double end bag.
Casanova does make some nice gloves. Look sort've old-fashioned.
Shane is actually working the ball very well. Remember, if you look flashy while you're working the double-end bag, you're not working the double end bag properly. It's supposed to be difficult and appear difficult.
Beautiful old school looking glove indeed. I heard they are wide in the pocket though.
I've never seen a tiny double-ender like that. I'll have to try it out.
Hope he comes ready to throw down in this fight. Might be his last chance to shine against someone meaningful. I do think he has a lot more left than people give him credit for.
I think you took too many blows to the head my friend, the slightly dazed name suits you. :D I showed you pics of my home made double end a few days ago. I actually think they might be a little smaller than Mosley's bag.

I've seen Barrera using the same ones against Pacquiao 1.
And Erik Morales also...
Any idea?
Mizuno boxing boots. Go ahead and splurge, they'll only run you $200.00 and up.
rib injury accident while he was training for Marquez. you remember the fight being postponed? That's the reason
Thanks. I forgot about the rib injury.
Since you guys are talking old school. I figured I'd post a few comparison pics of my vintage Flores 6 oz. fight gloves, a brand Robinson has been known to use in a few of his fights.
Flores 6 oz./Grant and Everlast 10 oz.

man he was damn near fighting bareknuckle
Pretty much. They're all horsehair, which are easy to manipulate so there's basically no padding over the knuckles.
A boxer does not have to Roy Jones' foot speed to be good. Chino has experience, inteligence, heart, power, chin, mindset to overcome his disadvantages. He's honed his style to chase down boxers. Fans need to appreciate Maidana while he's here. There will never be another Marcos "El Chino" Maidana.
Thanks for the laugh. Green given.
LMFAO!!! Track records...... Ortiz quit 1 fight when his jaw was busted into 3 pieces, what a ***** ah?
Fvck you and the high horse that you rode in on...............Rockin':boxing:
If you want to sit here and debate, at least have a clue about the subject, dumb ass. Thankfully someone already took the time to break it down to you. And that's just in the ring antics, let's not forget his odd comments outside the ring. The kid's not playing with a full deck.
Oh yeah...Fvck you too. You salty, old, washed up, loser.
you are clueless and ignorant as to what you are saying. Your guy talking in the video is just as ignorant about it as you are.
you two don't know ****, just bull**** opinions thrown from the comfort of your recliner. You haven't even a single clue as to what Ortiz may have been dealing with. ****in' ignorant fools, all with keyboards, the internet and way too many uneducated (or ignorant) opinions................ Rockin':boxing:
Get off your high horse, Rockin'. People quit in sports, jobs, life, etc. Let's not pretend boxers don't quit in the ring. It's not the first and won't be the last time.
You have about as much as a clue as to what was going on in Ortiz's head as anyone else on this board, no clue. Sure you can take an educated guess, but it doesn't make it right. You're basing your opinion on past experience, they are basing their opinion on Ortiz's track record.
Lol. You can say what you want about Ortiz, his cahones are muy grande compared to your keyboard nuggets and opinions.
As for me, a washed up me would still slap you from corner pad to corner pad like the retard that you probably are (pugilisticaly speaking).
Loser LOL, I'm still in the mix, I'll be around. Where are you in the sport again?
I've taken sheeits that contained more boxing knowledge than you'll ever have in that pea brain of yours.
Respect, I have it in the game. Your opinion of me means nothing, because in the game that is most likely what you are worth. Except for when you're shelling out $25 for your nose bleed seats to watch........... Rockin':boxing:
I'll keep my opinion of Ortiz in my head, and you continue to keep the image of his balls in yours, you ***.
The ole' keyboard tough guy schtick. Heard it all before, Rockin'. Yaaawn.
You're still in the mix, really. You're trying to recruit little boys on the forum. Yeah, you're a real ****ing treasure.
You say you don't care about my opinion, but it sure as hell brought out the ***** in you. Quit your fvcking crying.
His face is like "oh **** people are riding with me on this one"
He got that "oh ****, I can't believe I just said that" look.

So most of you dumb ass fans will stop saying things like "_______ is scared of fighting ________"
Rios at 2:10 explains it perfectly, something I been saying here for a long time. In boxing, unless you are a huge mega star like Pac, Mayweather or JMM, you don't get to choose and pick who you want to fight.
Most of the time, your manager, MANAGES your career. Imagine that, a manager, managing.
Rios is a real warrior, he gives Provodnikov his respect.
Just because a fighter can't pick and choose who he wants to fight doesn't mean he can't turn down a fight that is offered to him. You don't honestly believe a manager throws whoever he wants in front of his fighter without consulting him, do you?
Are we really supposed to believe that Everlast would risk their entire business by specially manufacturing an illegal glove, for a 10-1 outsider, in a big PPV fight in the US? There is literally no chance of that happening. This whole thing just makes Floyd look like a bitch.
Exactly what I was thinking. Well said.
This. Cotto is fighting for a Middleweight title with a MW Champion. Even fuckin Floyd would have to come into the ring first.
That was a bitch move by Cotto and Sexy will make him pay for it.
But then, he'll get Good Boyed by Lord Golovkin.
Imagine GGG's and Sergio's Face Off :lol1:
Don't sign the contract if it's that much of an issue.
Hopkins had to sign a 6 fight deal with Don King to get Trinidad in the ring, and here is Martinez crying about when his name is announced. :lame:
You don't seem to understand what's the issue here.
Say what you want about Sexy but he's always been willing to face the best, same with Cotto, but the diffrence is Sergio beat the best opponents he faced, Miguel did not.
For that fact alone, Martinez deserves respect and what Cotto made him sign was disrespectful.
Miguel will be carried on the stretcher, Sexy is pissed the fuck off.
I know exactly what's going on. It's not about who fought and beat the best.
You have one guy who's been tearing it up in the middleweight division and he was given an option by a named fighter and he took it.
If Martinez felt so strongly about his view, why not pass on the fight and get in the ring with the next biggest star in the division, Golovkin. I'm sure GGG would have had no problem giving Martinez top billing. Why? Because Martinez is not stupid. it's a very winnable fight against Cotto for big money.
Martinez willfully bent over and let Cotto screw him for the $$$, and now he wants to cry about how much it hurts. Cry me a river.
And I agree. Cotto gets sparked out.
Found the full version. The one on HBO"s youtube channel is only half of it.
Thanks, but that's just back to back plays of the 6 minute version.
I thought Max played it right when he was put on the spot. He tried to get around answering the question, but once he got the blessings of both fighters, he went ahead and gave an honest answer.
Can you numb nuts stop saying thumbless gloves, they are attached thumb gloves. Modern pro fight gloves have attached thumbs! You can still get poked in the eye with attached thumb gloves.
I'm not making excuses for Angulo. I'm just tired of the handful of people that keeps referencing thumbless gloves.

Right message, wrong messenger. When it comes to things like this I dont want to hear from B-HOP, he's pulled his share of clown stuff in boxing. Tell him in private if you want.
Pretty much how I see it.
"He had 10 fights left in him, he is down to 7 now"
Damn!!!
He said. "If he had"
man b hop left when dawson beat him and that was no robbery!! lol what he talkin bout
Hopkins probably realized that after he made the statement. That's why he left himself an out saying it's different with a "close" decision loss. Clever fox.
