Got into boxing 2 years ago but im out now. Sport (if at all) is corrupt, and all business.
I seen too many gut renching decisions to believe the sport is fair.
Rios/Abril, williams/lara, campillo/cloud, JMM/pacquioa, Chisora/Helenius, Mcclosky/prescott....and loads more.
Im out of here with words frm heavyweight boxer travis walker - the boxer who is supossed to win, will get the decision.

no, its what's making the sport worse. we don't need wannabe tough guys trying to analyse boxing yet talking out their asses at the same time. we dont need people trying to act as if they know everything about the sport in a short period of time that they've watched it, yet at the same time making a fool out of themselves and getting small facts wrong. we dont need people huffing and puffing, mocking our beloved sport and putting it down. we have a rich history that no other sport in the world has had. this is a sport that has withstood the test of time but people are trying to break that, they are trying to defy that unconditional bond.
you see the problem started years ago when the real boxing analysts, the real boxing fans, the real experts had enough and walked out on our sport. when the status quo, sitting at the top of the corporation with their millions, decided to introduce corruption into the sport.
this is the real problem.
not casual fans tainting our sport.
this is boxing, a test of power, prestige and mental strength. two guys fighting each other toe to toe, battling for supremacy. there are only 2 people that every mother****er sitting on this planet has ever head of. who are they?
mike tyson and muhammad ali.
from a little kid sitting in a classroom in the middle east, to an african man growing his crops on a blood field. two of the MOST iconic figures ever in the history of this planet and they have come from OUR sport.
that my friend, is boxing.
so please do an honourable thing young buck, pack your bags and get the **** outta here. because in 20 years time when another muhammad ali comes along, i will stand up and say, 'i was there through the tough times and stuck by my sport, even when others didnt'.
peace out.
You don't seem to realize that when boxing was the most popular sport in the world, or at least second, it was because of the massive amount of casual fans. If you reduced every sport down its hardcore fans and no one else, than no sport would be popular.
BTW, we all start out as casual fans at some point. Every single one of us. So driving away casual fans is the worst thing boxing fans can do, because you are not letting those fans grow to love the sport.

Overreacting much?
Casual fans are what make soccer, basketball, the NFL, and every other major sport a major sport. All of you insulting a new fan and driving that fan away is not going to help. We should be telling him that this poster that this isn't normal, that robberies don't usually happen this often, and that the sport is worth following anyway.
We were all casual fans once. Dammage, I understand your frustration but the sport is worth it. The robberies have been bad lately, but it really isn't normal, and the only way to fight them is to make our voices heard. If you like boxing, you should stick with it.

its ok. we're trying to kick out casual fans, you are what's ruining the sport in the first place.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
atleast tennis is a fair support, where the winner actually wins.
can you imagine is track and field, usain bolt winning by miles and being told he came second
can u imagine nadal winning 3 sets to 1, and being told he lost.
only in boxing does the winner actually lose, all because of money!!!!!!
and to those fools taking the piss, go get yourseld decent jobs!!!!
