Ortiz quit again

He did quit, huh? I don't want to think so but with his history, it's hard not to. He got hit right in the side of the jaw where he dislocated it. He probably felt a shockwave through his entire system... not to mention, he went into that fight cold after 1 year + of inactivity. Punch resistance was still in warm up mode at this point. Poor Ortiz, can't get a break. Ortiz-Berto III? Wasn't he hit on the right side? His jaw was broken on the left. This interview is THE reason I can't stand this guy. He needs to see a Doctor. He's clearly mentally retarded, clearly. Ortiz can not fight when it's hard. Look at the fights he quit. Maidana Floyd Lopez (between rounds right before his jaw got broken he was asking robert garcia to end the fight lol) and now this one. When its expected that he's going to win and then all of a sudden his opponent has some life in him ortiz loses his heart. He was looking like he was reconsidering boxing as a career while he kneeled down after collazo hit him. A great showing by Ortiz would have put him back in the conversation for Canelo; after tonight it's clear ortiz just doesn't have the heart, not just for canelo, but for anyone who has fight in them. Collazo called out Thurman after his last fight so it might be him. i think thurman takes it but it would make for an intriguing fight. it would be a nice change of pace from the brawler/come-forward types that thurman has been matched with lately. collazo might just give him the kinda fight i hoped quintana would have

The real question is why did he get up when he fought Berto? It was a similar punch actually. That broken jaw man...you can't honestly tell me it takes 2 years to recover from that. He should have been back in the ring within 6-10 months WORST case. I'm no doctor of course but a bone is a bone, whether it is a femur or a jaw bone and most breaks take like 6-8 weeks or something....schit, give it 6 months for a bad break. A year and a half later, he steps back in the ring.................he didn't want to come back to a ring...someone convinced him to.

Remember back when Maidana took his soul and his explanation why he quit? That was the writing on the wall. We all knew right then and there that he was not mentally tough enough for this sport.
