A buddy of mine helps roberto Garcia the fighter. They're in Vegas right now preparing for Prescott. He said they spoke to shawn porter and he said it would be kell brook in September. Sounds to me like it will be on the mayweather undercard.
I'll tell you two things:
This fight is better than the Rich coward vs Madinna 2
And it's better than (shot) Pacquaio vs pillow fists
And it's pretty much FREE!
lol...the hate is unnecessary, but this fight should be good while it lasts. I have a feeling prescott will start banging and once he feels the power of Garcia, he will turn to boxing him, then stopped in the late rounds.
It was close but he won. No one had Maidana winning - that is important. The ringside/studio commentators in the US and UK streams, the judges . I had Floyd 7-5 up - a very close fight.
Landed more and at double the percentage so I cant see how he can be deemed to have lost.
exactly. People saying floyd lost are mostly people who dont like floyd. All the boxing media had floyd winning a close fight. Max Kellerman, Steve Kim, Kevin Iole, Dan Rafael, all three showtime broadcasters, UK broadcasters, and the actual judges had floyd winning.
I think Rios could possibly get INSIDE and outwork Chaves and smother his work and power but I think Chaves could out-box and HURT Rios if he can keep enough separation. All depends on Chaves strategy and how he chooses to fight and how he deals with that relentless pressure from Rios. Early against Thurman, which is really all we have to go by, he did some good things early and I thought he was controlling the fight just a bit early in that fight. Chaves also has a stiff jab that can possibly show down Rios Pressure.
We shall see, I look forward to this fight the MOST tonight
Exactly...during the Thurman fight he looked good early. Unlike Thurman who circles and moves more than Rios, Rios will be there to be hit. Obviously if Rios can get inside and bang away like he likes to do, we may see Chaves hurt, however does Rios have that kind of power at 147? I think its a 50-50 fight on paper but i like Chaves just because hes more natural at 147 and his offense isnt so 1 dimensional like Rios. Rios couldnt be KO'd by Pacman who completely obliterated him, so I dont think Chaves can KO him. Do you all think it goes the distance?
DIdnt he fake a injury so he can Duck Roberto Garcia, at least that was the latest news.
well the tweet was sent out this afternoon...has there been an update since then?
Cotto's better then dlh, power and at cutting off the ring. Oscar's overrated, people probably judge Oscar by his looks and not his ability. Oscars best wins were over mayorga, and an againg Chavez. Floyd isn't in Cotto's league. The biggest money fight right now for floyd is cotto, but floyds going to dodge cotto and stay retired because he's afraid of cotto's power. He's afraid of cotto's heart.
WOW...thats a big statement, i can understand you not liking a fighter but to say that type of remarks is just stupid...do you seriously think Cotto is so much better than Floyd that he isnt in the same league as him...or are you just exagerating to form a balance that all these Floyd fans have created by saying Floyd is the GOAT?
Funny how a simple thread turns into a floyd is ducking cotto and floyd is the greatest, like there aren't 500 of those threads to post your repetitive arguments in
hey i work for dtv as well, i work in the Pharr center...Do you all get mis transfers from the mexico center, fuck i hate those guys, they transfer for any fucken reason...hurray for free cable :D
yeah i saw that on espn saying hes at 149...am i the only one that hopes this fight is at 147 rather than 154, i think a fight at super welter will be very lobsided, PBF will be slower and weaker while DLH will be in his comfort zone...as a boxing fan i would rather see a good fight and i think that can only happen at 147
paul williams is such a raw talent right now who know who he will be in two years, he may be great or he may be another mediocre fighter, as of right now i dont see him being a better fighter than mayweather, plus i see paul williams moving up in weight quickly, the man is 6 1, hes bound to be a light heavy
i have a dvr so i will record two but watch showtime, marquez/vazquez will be the best fight this month...but yeah i expect to know the result of the cotto fight by tuning in to showtime, i guess its just a tactic used by hbo and showtime so that you dont flip over and watch
Aint no agreeable weight, aint gonna happen, as interesting as this fight sounds. Mayweather is just naturally too small imo.
What up derranged your a Bills fans, or just a Thurman fan? im a huge Bills fan and its just rare to see someone else that likes the Bills since I live in South Texas...hopefully next year we will make a stronger run at the playoffs.
James Toney is one funny guy and he would definitley give Mesi a boxing lesson but the Bills dont suck...were rebuilding and we should be back and be more competitive this year...GO BILLS.
i dont like manny...out of this list i have to go with Floyd Sr i think hes a great teacher and a master gameplanner with alot of knowledge about the sport.
My question is: How can you be a fan of a fighter, who can give 2 shits about the fans, and only about his money? Some Floydboyz actually get all giddy about Floyd making money. I dont get it.
I wouldnt say Floyd doesnt give a shit about his fans...its just that he wants Cotto to be a bigger name so the money is right and at the same time he gives the fans a fight that everyone wants to see happen including myself...sometimes you just have to be patient, its part of whats wrong with Boxing...its not like the nba or nfl that have scheduled games these fights are negotiated and MONEY is a big part of whether a fight happens or not.
