Which do you feel is the reason Mayweather/Cotto has yet to happen?

My answer is, I felt hes fougth great competition.. the fact the first de la hoya fight was a split decision, i dont look down on the rematch like a lot of you.. I personally feel, and i dont care what anyone thinks.. that Oscar would hand Cotto his ass... Secondly I dont look down on the Hatton KO like a lot of you do... I felt it was a tremendous win... Do i want him to fight Cotto? Sure I do.. and I know he will... But I respect his unbelievable talents in the ring... to not OBSESS about him not fighting exactly who i want him to fight.. I can be a fan of whoever I please.. and it being me please knowing it bothers you. not at all its actually funny.

I think it's about the money. Once Cotto becomes the fighter that Floyd can make the most money fighting then he'll fight him.

My question is: How can you be a fan of a fighter, who can give 2 shits about the fans, and only about his money? Some Floydboyz actually get all giddy about Floyd making money. I dont get it. I wouldnt say Floyd doesnt give a shit about his fans...its just that he wants Cotto to be a bigger name so the money is right and at the same time he gives the fans a fight that everyone wants to see happen including myself...sometimes you just have to be patient, its part of whats wrong with Boxing...its not like the nba or nfl that have scheduled games these fights are negotiated and MONEY is a big part of whether a fight happens or not. some people think boxing is like table tennis where you dont get hurt and you do it for fun why the fuck would you fight someone today for $X amount of money when you can make twice as much or more down the line dickriders get so blinded by hate they cant do simple math

Oscar made and will make PBF more money than Cotto EVER will. Hatton made PBF more money, than Cotto would have up to now. At the end of the day all the "not giving a shit about the fans" talk is bullshit, the fighter is the one stepping in the ring, the fighter is the one who lives off his fighting, not a couple of potato couches. Cotto understands this perfectly and lined up to fight two recognizable names (Gomez and Mayorga), who unfortunately dont mean shit in the welterweight division. (He is also starting his promotional company). Does he fight them because they dont mean shit? No he fights them because they are recognizable names.
