Do people understand what they are watching when Abril fights?
He's a 5'10 lightweight with a long reach. What do you want him to do when his opponent closes the distance? How should he be fighting these shorter brawlers, volume punchers and sluggers? Should he be getting into meaningless exchanges and trying to show boxing fans that he has balls? GTFOH.
He either clinches or turns his opponents when they get close. He also defends himself very well with his elbows and shoulders. He does a great job at creating distance so he can follow through on his punches. He's got a sick jab which he doesn't use enough.
He's just a very smart, slick and crafty boxer that knows how to win. He gives anybody serious problems at 135.
I wont disagree with none of what you said, but dude makes fights that arent entertaining with his ugly ass style. A threat at 135? Definitely but somebody i'd pay to watch? Nah im good
You guys may not appreciate the SWEET SCIENCE but I think Abril made a good account for himself. Like I said, towards the end of that fight the crowd was definitely cheering for him.

Please bruh, it aint got nothing to do with appreciating the sweet science. Abril just makes s**tty fights. It is what it is, he's talented but i'd rather watch the WNBA than watch him fight
yeah boring, how can your stock go up when your fight was a snooze fest and you are a point fighter?
Stock only goes up when you amaze and impress with slick crisp skill or warrior hearted action.
Abril is boring imagine a fight between him and Miguel Vazquez? they would need some track shoes in that fight.
I dont know how Abril's stock went up at all, dude didnt look impressive to me http://i48.tinypic.com/rbwqjn.png
He was being bullied and thrown around the ring and looked shook until the ref took away that point from him and made him fight. Still not seeing how he's the best at 135
If overcoming FMJ's shoulder roll was that easy shouldnt somebody have been able to do it at this point?
Anyway Sugar Ray Leonard the GOAT........even if he was/still is in the closet
God I hate boxing sometimes. This is a terrible idea to have both PPV's go up against each other. They not doing nothing but screwing up their own pockets and preventing themselves from making more money
The 2 times he "stepped up" as a cherry pick he beat up the cherry pickers, whose promoter then resorted to paying off the judges to rob him

He lost 2 close decisions so the promoter paid off the judges? If that's what you say bruh
I agree, Lucas gets way too much hype for real on this site. Great fighter to watch but the 2 times he's stepped up in competition he lost. Yeah you can say that he was robbed (he wasnt) but even in the Judah and Alexander fights he wasnt this destroyer y'all make him out to be and he wasnt dominanting either one of them.
He definitely deserves a title shot in 140 he's earned that, but he's not this God a lot of y'all make him out to be
Yeah Don King would be great for the sport of boxing if he could have a revival. I guarantee you there would be a much easier time getting marquee fights made cause Don King is about his paper.
Plus he'd bring another personality and always brings attention to the sport, you can make a case that he's probably the most famous non-fighter personality in boxing history. We need that brother with the wild hair and weird English back in the game
Only way Bradley loses that fight is if he gets tired and wears down, he should outbox Rios pretty easily. But Rios is a tough M.F so he's gonna be there all 12 rounds due to Bradley punching like a little girl
